This place is definitely a hit! Our food disappeared so quickly that we didn't even get a chance to take pictures. Everything is seasoned with their house spice blend and smoked over oak wood, which gives it such a rich flavor. The manager was incredibly kind and took the time to walk us through the menu, answer all of our questions, and even give us some great recommendations. We tried the pulled pork, brisket, and smoked turkey breast very tender, flavorful, and moist. The meats are offered in portions around 6-8 oz, but we went with the 4 oz sample sizes so we could try more variety. They also have a selection of BBQ sauces available, though honestly, the meat is delicious enough to stand on its own. It's exciting to see such a great variety coming to Riverdale/Ogden. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Nice addition to Riverdale and what has been a BBQ desert! Brand new and first visit so I had to try the brisket, it was exceptional. Dry rubbed and perfectly smoked. You can choose point (fatty) or flat (lean) or you can get the chopped. For sides I tried the Mac and Cheese (good) and the collared greens (great.). It comes with a chunk of cornbread (very good). They've got the bbq staples plus smoked turkey or pulled chicken. Those are for next visit. There's even smoke salmon on the menu. Lots of sides and superb drink menu. They have 7 signature sauces and all were decent. Pricing is a value for good bbq. Good bbq is not cheap so expect the $10-$13 range for a sandwich and $10-$14 for your meat options. Servings are about 1/2 pound so very reasonable. You can do a combo which is a meat +1 side or the XXL combo which is a meat +2 sides. Both include a drink and cornbread. The XXL will run you between $17-$26 depending on which meat you choose. You order at a counter and pick up your own tray. There is NO TIP SHAMING on their system. Excited for these folks to prosper here. Judging on the first visit, they surely will.

This place is great! It gets very crowded so keep that in mind. I have been twice and have had a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich. Both were delicious. They give huge portions. The fries I had on the side were great too. They have six bottles of different barbecue sauces at the table to try, my favorite is the smoky mountain. The decor is tribute to police and fire departments all over the state and it was fun to look for the patch from our city.

Chicken was a little dry as was the brisket. Burgers were medium rare but we were not asked how we wanted them cooked. A little too underdone for those that ordered burgers. Mac n Cheese was great with a smoky flavor. Sauces are very good as was the pork. Went back to order the cobbler and it was "on the house".

What was given to me instead was an incredibly soggy piece of chicken akin to a microwaved dinosaur chicken nugget. It tasted about the same too. As far as the cookie went, it was delicious. I was saved from a very sad lunch but this very large, soft, pink cookie. Overall clean and bright building, with staff constantly cleaning, which is good to see. They spelled my name more incorrect than I've ever seen on a food order in my life, which made me laugh, but was not enough to save me from a really bad sandwich.

We go as many times as we can while we're in town! If you've had their sandwiches or cookies, you know why. This time, I ordered the deluxe vegetarian on sourdough and my husband went with the turkey avocado also on sourdough. Both were fresh, flavorful and hit the spot. And of course, we can't leave without indulging in their cookies. The sugar cookie, mint chocolate brownie and chocolate chip are forever staples for us. My only complaint? They're not in more states. Cutler's, we're begging..please come to San Diego!

On the first day of 2026, my wife and I decided to venture out and try something new…read more A random recommendation from YELP popped up on her phone. Keeping with a couple criteria, an untried venue, check! Food, (most importantly) check! and nearby, check! We decided to throw on some foot covers and head out the door. A quick jaunt and we'd arrived. Super easy to find even though it isn't street facing. Expecting it to be bustling with NYE recovery folks, we were surprised to find a quiet establishment that had two other patrons. Quickly I grabbed up a menu and we were immediately greeted with a friendly "Good Morning" from a very energetic and enjoyable young man. We sat and perused the menu. Talking over what we wanted vs what we should have. It took less time to make our decision for our order than most food stops in our past. I ordered the Mortician with Pepper Jack instead of the American Cheese it was paired with. Our order taker guy, (also the energetic greeter) inquired if I wanted to make it a double. I answered to the affirmative, (with a sheepish smile on my face). My wife conservatively ordered the Thursday Special, consisting of the Morty's Iconic Cheeseburger and fries. After paying and sitting down, our once greeter/order taker now waiter guy appeared with a large bottle of pour-it-yourself Fry Sauce and a handful of napkins. I looked over the sauce and quickly realized I hadn't ordered the Onion Rings that I wanted to try. I quickly mentioned to our greeter/order taker/waiter guy before he disappeared behind the kitchen doors that I needed the onion rings. With a smile and a thumbs up he said, I gotchu. I asked if there was a separate charge and stood up to pay. He quickly interrupted my advancement with an outstretched hand and a more pronounced, I Got You. This, of course was not my intention to get free stuffs but I was pleased just the same. My wife quickly grabbed some loose cash from her purse and added it to their tip jar. Thanks Babe! Once again you show me one of the many reasons for my affection toward you! We sat and did some chit-chat, continuing conversations from earlier that day. Sooner than expected, our food shows up, piled high and filling the plates with our side orders, (see photos). I literally had to take off the onion rings that were part of the sandwich makeup to even consider the possibility of moving the Mortician into my mouth, (TWSS! ...if you know, you know). Im finding this experience difficult to put into words. So, I'll sum it up. Delicious and juicy and fantastic! For once, outside of a homegrown burger, I'm able to enjoy the separate flavorings of Bacon, Beef, (which I think is marinated), the jalapeño and the pastrami as well as the aioli. After a quick drink to cleanse my palette, I grabbed up an Onion Ring. I paused to reflect on my existence and quietly muttered, this is really good! Crispy beyond any previous onion ring order from any of the, what could be hundreds of orders of rings during my 59 years, and delicious. I savored every bite, licked my fingers, and made happy "mmm mmm" sounds as I partook of this fine deliciousness. We finished everything! Talked about how this particular Morty's has now been labeled a family staple. Our experience is not just made up from the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, free onion rings, and did I mention the delicious food?, no. It's all of these as a whole, bigger experience, making it a unique and favorite beginning to a new year. Thanks to you, Morty's and our favorite greeter/order taker/waiter/I gotchu guy, we both are still smiling from our visit. Thank you for the excellent experience. We are looking forward to our next visit!
