Side House Salad

We came to this Texas roadhouse on a road trip back to Washington hoping to enjoy a nice thick juicy steak. We get seated on an extremely busy night, which was surprising for how fast it was you get seated and your server greet you with a amazing taste of homemade bread rolls With cinnamon butter, they both taste amazing. After I chow down nine rolls, I was ready for a thick juicy cut of steak. Instead, I was welcome with a Charlie Brown looking steak, nice and depressed a sirloin. It's supposed to be a thick cut of steak and mine wasn't even half an inch thick. The taste and flavor was there, but I was extremely disappointed in my steak thickness for the price that you pay for sirloin.

The chicken fried steak came to us cold, and husband and granddaughter ordered fries but they never got them. the waitress was nice but the food was not good. Was very disappointed.

Had the most wonderful experience here with my sister and her family! I attribute this in large part to the outstanding service from our waiter Chris. From the moment we were seated, he was very attentive and helpful. We never had an empty glass and he stopped by at all the right times to check if we needed anything. My sister and her husband are veterans and had coupons from Texas Roadhouse that offered veterans a free meal in honor of their service to the country. I love that this company does this!! The food was really good and large servings. Enough to take home for lunch the next day. I definitely plan to come again next time I am in town to visit my family.

The food isn't good for the price paid. The staff is over worked and you can tell with the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. They need Gordon Ramsay to go there to teach how to cook!

The service is prompt and friendly. In all fairness, the food is delicious but it's all porn food. Nothing healthy to be had unless you just order a chunk of meat and nothing else. Country fried steak with the loaded baked doesn't disappoint. Great side salad too.

Lonestar I was…read moreabsolutely blown away with the food and service here! I'll admit I was skeptical at first. My husband and I showed up a little before 7:00pm on a Sunday night without reservations. Luckily they weren't too busy, but the hostess was a little cold towards us. After that interaction, my we were worried we chose the wrong place for my husband's birthday dinner. Our waiter, Chris L, completely changed the experience for us. I cannot sing his praises enough! He gave us great recommendations, refilled our drinks before they were gone, and he took care of an issue (even though we didn't think it was an issue). He was very personable and made our dining experience a great experience. As for the food, hold the front door! You want an amazing steak at a decent price? This is the place! My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the flavor was insane! That goes for every single thing we ate, from the bread before we ordered to the sides to our main course. Nothing was less than excellent. We ordered the firecracker chicken wraps to start. The only way I know how to describe them as is they're like a bomb chicken taquito...and that's avocado lime sauce was amazing! Our waiter told us to try the spicy chicken bites next time (we almost ordered those). For the main course, I had the filet and I loved it! My husband had the Outlaw Ribeye and felt the same way. We both ordered a baked potato and mac & cheese for our sides (we were so happy there was the option to substitute the salad). The sides were delicious, especially the mac and cheese! I need that in a gallon container please! Since it was my husband's birthday, I made him get a dessert, and we're both so happy he did. He ordered the chocolate stampede. It was chocolatey, smooth, and paired well with the vanilla bean ice cream. It definitely put us over the edge, but worth it! I can't wait to go back and have another steak diner. It's all I can think about!

When we arrived, we were told there would be a 45-minute wait, which was understandable. Since there was a wait, we asked if we could sit at the bar instead. We could clearly see a few open seats together, but the hostess told us, "There's no room." I pointed out the empty seats, and she replied, "You can sit there, but you might not get service." I then asked if food service was available at the bar, and she said it was -- but that it would still take at least 45 minutes to get food. We sat down briefly, but the bar area was dirty, and honestly, the interaction left us feeling unwelcome. The tone and attitude from the hostess came across as if she really didn't want us eating there at all. So we decided to leave. That was the disappointing part -- because we actually enjoyed the food during our previous visit. Unfortunately, customer service can completely change the experience, and this time it did.

I cannot believe that I had completely spaced this place off my conscience! I knew it definitely…read moresounded familiar but I should have "Yelped" it prior to ordering, though it definitely wasn't as bad as the first time. Still needs major improvement though. I ordered the New York Steak which also includes two sides. I had to pay an additional fee to upgrade my steak to 12 oz (definitely would not have been an issue had the restaurant followed instructions! -sigh-). I explicitly requested my steak be WELL DONE with absolutely no pink meat whatsoever. And whaddya know? The 12 oz steak arrived, grilled to perfection on the outside, with nothing but pink, raw (and raw tasting) meat on the inside. Ugh. This steak had so much potential and could have easily been a five star review. It was juicy and tender, but raw. Then, I'm reading all these reviews on here stating people wanted a medium rare and how overcooked and dry their steaks were. Do the chef's all have dyslexia or something? Because what other's received is exactly how I wanted mine done (minus the dryness of course..wink, wink). Anyways, chopped it all up and re-fired on the stove with a little butter spray as pink meat makes me violently ill. It worked out in the end, but the steak definitely wasn't flavorful. However, it became edible, though I should not have to take the time because my bank account was hurting me after this purchase. A steakhouse chef cannot actually cook a WELL DONE steak or follow explicit "no pink meat" instructions? Something seriously is wrong there. Anyways, my two sides were sauteed mushrooms (just little button brown is what you receive with a small amount of unflavored sauce at the bottom). Once again, had to "doctor " those up to make them edible as well. At least those were in their own separate container with a secure lid for the drive home as I had requested that ALL sides be in their own separate containers to prevent cross contamination. My second side that I requested was the Parmesan tomato. Basically it's a full tomato cut into two halves with melted cheese and seasoning on top. The tomato was very ripe, juicy , and fresh tasting. The issue was, that when you took a bite all that cheese and seasoning fell off of it completely. Not only that, but the two tomato halves were in the same container as the steak. Yuck! And remember I requested it all be separate from each other. The tomatoes had the fat/grease steak taste and pretty much ruined the value and taste of them. There were absolutely zero condiments, utensils, or napkins given for the "to go" order which I found to be a bit cheap and bizarre considering the cost of the meal, 20% tip, etc. This restaurant DOES have potential with at least what I just recently tried. Sounds like the employees and management don't care too much though for customer service or reading comprehension. Could have been five stars. Guess they all just don't care too much over at this place.

It was cool to see the fish set they have. The food was good, nothing amazing but not horrible everyone enjoyed what we ate. The best part was the entertainment from our chef. My only complaint was we ordered a sushi roll and asked to have it come out before the meal as an appetizer and it never came out. Our food was already being prepared so I went and found our server to cancel it. They had some weird reason but I didn't care. We were specific on what we wanted and we didn't get it. It was sad because we wanted to start with sushi but our salad and soup already made it out while our entree was being cooked. It was frustrating because other people in our party got their sushi 10/15 minutes prior but we never got ours. Outside of the performance from the chef I never once had to think about my water. They made sure it stayed full the whole time and that was a huge win!

We were looking for somewhere good to have dinner on a Monday night, and Drew's mom recommended Roosters because she loves the food there. We also looked it up online and it looked like a fun place, so we decided to give it a try. Walking in, I was immediately impressed by the signage and décor. It has a really cool look from the outside and definitely gives you the impression that you're walking into a fun brewery/restaurant. It was actually pretty quiet when we arrived, and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, our experience with our waitress was not great. She was very rude from the beginning, and I actually asked everyone else at the table if they felt the same way. Everyone agreed that her attitude came across as rude and unfriendly. It felt like she was mad that she had to deal with us...Maybe she was simply having a really bad day, and I certainly understand that happens, but unfortunately it really affected our experience. She never checked back with us after our food was delivered. I ordered a salad, which I actually really enjoyed, but I was only given one tiny 2-ounce ramekin of dressing, and it wasn't even full. I almost asked for extra dressing when I ordered, but I told her I'll see how much it comes with first, but I probably will need more...I used it all and still had quite a bit of salad left. I would have happily asked for more dressing, but no one ever came back to check on us, so I just ended up leaving the rest of my salad. Everyone else ordered burgers and fries, and they all really enjoyed their meals. The food was definitely the highlight of our visit. We also had a couple of beers, and someone did eventually come by with a refill, so we weren't completely forgotten. We were seated in what seemed to be the bar/dining area, and the atmosphere was surprisingly quiet. There was very light music playing, but you could barely hear it. I think turning the music up a little would have helped create more of the fun brewery atmosphere I expected. The TVs also weren't turned on, which I found a little odd for a place like this. Overall, I think Roosters has a LOT of potential. The food was good, the space itself is really cool, and I can see why people enjoy coming here. Maybe things are completely different on a busy weekend night, and perhaps we just caught them on an off night. Unfortunately, based on our first experience, the service and atmosphere left us a little disappointed. I'm glad we tried it, though, and I wouldn't rule out giving it another shot in the future because the food was actually really good.

The crowd can be a little rough and it is a Bar, must be 21 years or older. It has typical bar food, hamburgers and anything you can put in a fryer. But on Thursdays and Saturday Nights, after 6:00PM it is steak night. I usually don't like local grills for steaks, they're usually terrible. But not here, one of the best steaks I've had outside a high dollar steak house. After 6PM it is time for steaks, they close down the other menu items and you have a choice of steak (Ribeye) or steak (Ribeye). You can choose your temperature, I chose MR, and it was probably Med, but that's okay. Comes with a baked potato, a roll and grilled onions and mushrooms. But what stands out was the flavor, so good, place got a little smokey as they grilled. I really like mushrooms and grilled onions, but the steak didn't need em. I took mine off and enjoyed the steak as it was. I did finish the mushrooms and onions as a side. Highly recommend steak night. The salad was plain with cheese and croutons, nothing special. The Potato was cooked perfectly with a cooked crunchy skin, soft potato goodness in the middle. Came with butter and sour cream, I would have liked some cheese, bacon and chives, but it was still good. Lots of food, didn't try dessert. My wife enjoyed her steak too but would have liked some other options, it was a lot of food for her. But lunch for me the next day.
