This location sucks. Multiple times we have requested extra crispy and we get wings that are undercooked. One time it was damn near raw. The regional manager (or whatever the tirle was) told us he would refund us. He never did. The next time we were told we would get a complementary re-make, which we saved and tried to cash in today, but somehow thwre was no record of it. The manager we spoke to today was very nice, and she was not here during our past issues, but she had to inform us that there was no record of our previous orders nor our previous complementary re-make. I told her on the phone "My wife is gonna order online, please make them extra crispy." She said ok. My wife ordered them online and made sure she put in the "extra crispy". When we get them...not extra crispy. Hell, the fries were even undercooked, and they barely had any seasoning on the chicken. This is terrible! I live 6 mins 1.3 miles away from this location, first time getting from here and as I ordered online for mobile pickup it gave me time of being done at 1803-1814 I arrived at 1809 ish and walked in to receive all in bundle with a extra fry and 6 piece honey butter bread roll, it was not ready for a additional 6 mins they were not busy a couple people inside and a few mobile orders as I can see. Coming home opening up my bread was cold and dry, fries were lightly warm and no seasoning, half My chicken was lightly warm and the other batch was nicely warm to almost hot I do not get the half made from like this morning quality chicken, fries and bread rolls and then a probably cooked 15 mins prior other batch of chicken but to me as I pay for a family meal right under 40$ and received past time of promised but not even made properly should not be a place to go and try and receive a nice meal. The staff was nice and the inside clean and a normal wing stop look but I will maybe give this place 1 more shot in the future but for now I will go to other locations to receive proper service. Let me start with customer service, this was our first time at this location, these guys were super friendly and helpful, they make excellent suggestions. Also they were following proper Covid standards, wearing masks and washing there hands before handling our drinks. We ordered the Spicy Korean and the Original Hot. The Spicy Korean is delicious, sticky, spicy with lots of flavor. The Original is what original means, spicy, not as saucy , still held it's flavor. Being newbs, it took us awhile to decide what we wanted. The girl at the counter (wish I remembered her name) was patient and friendly, despite the craziness of the Saturday evening dinner rush. Your first decision is whether you want Boneless, Mix & Match or Classic. (Bone-In) We went with the Classic. I'll tell you what, these chickens never skipped "leg day" at the gym! The drumettes were big..."swole"...if I'm sticking with the gym analogy. Then you choose which wings you want, and if you want a combo of different types. They go from Plain, for those who go to an ice cream shop and order vanilla, to Mango Habanero and Atomic, for those who like the gift that keeps on giving 24 hours later. There are 4 choices made from dry rubs. In addition to Plain, there are Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper. The dry rubs are the ones that don't get messy. No napkins required. (If you're a dude) The rest are all saucy, and you'll probably leave with some on your cheek, ear, or elbow...depending on your technique and how hungry you are. We had the dry rub Lemon Pepper in a combo with the saucy Spicy Korean. The Lemon Pepper was outstanding! The Spicy Korean was too hot for my wife, but I loved them. It's really only mid-tier heat. They have a scale that shows their choices from super tame to the ones that are hot enough to burn your backside. The only thing that didn't wow me were the fries. They give you a huge basket. Soooooo excited to have a Wingstop open up nearby! I have been eating at WingStop back in CA and had to drive 40 mins south if I wanted some of their wings in Utah---and I did do the drive if that says how good their wings are! Another bonus is that I can share about this wonderful place for wings as a welcomed alternative to Buffalo Wild Wings (see my review on that terrible place). Not just quality tasting wings, but much cheaper and more for your money. If you have never tried WingStop it's time to check it out. I always go for my fav original hot, bone-in combo of 10 wings that comes with fries or veggie sticks, dressing, and a 20oz drink. Fantastic- so good that I came back the next day. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great- very friendly and happy to help. I haven't stepped foot in a WS in years, not since TX, since the flavors were only mediocre, Atomic wasn't really atomic, and service was slow. In that regard, at this location, nothing's changed. Monday, 60 cent boneless wings. This is how my order was supposed to go: "I would like an 8 pc bone in (BI) wing combo with fries and a drink, and 8 boneless (BL) wings." $16.29 plus tax. This is how my order went: I see the sign in front of the store about the 60 cent BL wings; I walk in and there is nothing about how to order BL wings staring me in the face. The young man asks what I want, and I tell him I was just about to ask how to order the 60 cent BL wings. He points to the combo, so I order the 10 pc combo w/fries. I add the 2 pc tenders for $1.99 to try (my choice, dipping sauce extra). I ask if he needs the 60 cent per BL wing coupon I cut out of the paper. He just stares at me, I say, "Of course you don't," and put it in my pocket. I then order my 8 pc BI combo, but I don't want 2 orders of fries, so I get the veggie sticks. $26.27 b/4 tax, $28.33 total. I almost choked. I get my drink and sit down. THEN I see the back side of the outside BL wing sign from my seat offering a 10% military discount. I'm wearing a Marines t-shirt (husband retired). No offer of, "Do you have a military ID?" which would give someone an option to say, "Yes," or "No, I just liked the shirt." Now I REALLY feel like I've overspent. As I waited the 15 min for our food to cook, the next gentleman ordered tenders to go, then realized he made a mistake when his order was over $11 and apologized and said he wanted the 60 cent BL wings. Neither the young lady ringing him up nor the guy who took our order - and was cooking it - knew how to fix it, so they BACKED INTO his $11! Offered him things he didn't want. She also told him the 60 cent BL wings were a min of 10 (my coupon said FIVE), so he ended up with 12 BL wings and a drink. Our fries came out glistening in grease, there were no paper towels on the tables, only a roll at the front of the store bolted to the condiment table and no wet naps. If you just HAVE to have wings from WS, order online so you are in control of your destiny, be prepared to wait, get it to go and have extra Frank's Hot Sauce at the house. read more

I was debating about whether to put 2 or 3 stars for this place but decided that 2 was more appropriate. First let's list a few pros: great hours, good selection of flavors, decent selection of sides, and it's clean. Now the cons: over priced, the sauces (all but the Hawaiian and bbq) were horrible and I got an assortment of about 6 of their flavors, and I was short 3 wings on my order of 20 wings. The breading on the boneless wings (which are really just small chicken tenders) was good but didn't make up for the sauces. Even my kids who love wings didn't want any of these really. They were only ate to not waste the money spent on them. Sad. Was hoping we'd like this place. read more

Well, this is the first time at Wing Stop in Layton. It has been several years since I had eaten at one, when I lived in Texas. We got the dinner for two, which is 15 wings of 2 flavors, 2 dips, fries and two drinks. The two youth that were running the place were... well... short on personality, I guess. We upgraded our fries to Vooodoo fries which have cheese and ranch on them with Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top. We got mild and Teriyaki bone in wings. The mild was okay... neither good nor bad. The Teriyaki we didn't really care for. The Voodoo fries were very good though! The fully loaded coke machine is good, as well. But for a place that specializes in wings, I was disappointed in the wings. The wings are better down the street at Famous Dave's, or Red Robin. read more

Rankings of the flavors I've tried: (everyone is different) 1. Lousiana Rub - For me, the perfect level of spiciness. I like that there's no sauce so my fingers don't get sticky and I don't burn my lips with spicy sauce. 5/5 2. Garlic Parmesan - Just really good! Awesome with most any dip. 4/5 3. Lemon Pepper - Not for everyone, but I love the lemony flavor. 4/5 4. Hawaiian - I'm sure there's people that love it, but it's not for me. Not gross by any means, but I wouldn't pick it again. It's got a gingery taste I don't love. 2/5 Still need to try: Teriyaki Hickory Smoked BBQ Mild Original Hot Cajun Mango Habanero Atomic (If I dare) Can't wait to try them all! The service at this location is also really good. I don't know her name, but the lady manager is really on top of it and tries to make everyone's experience great! I can't give all the wings I've had here a 5/5, so I can't give the restaurant a 5/5 but I feel like so far, the food and experience here has been enough to warrant a solid 4! Wow! This location is amazing and so very well managed. We were immediately acknowledged when we walked in the door and the place was busy. Even though they were busy it was clean and the staff was very nice. Sydney was the person who helped us and she was professional well versed in the menu and proficient. The manager of this location has done an amazing job at training the staff and ensuring the quality of their product is on point. Our wings were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. First, i called to ask about their hours and they were very nice and helpful on the phone. second when i went in, ordering was very easy and Dallas was very nice and overall an amazing employee. you can tell he works very hard as well as the rest of the other employees that were working and manages to respect and treat customers very well. The fries are seasoned, including with a sweetener, which I thought was gross. The wings were okay but they don't have many flavors compared to Buffalo Wild Wings so if you only want a certain spice level, your limited to just about 4 flavors and I didn't think any of the low-medium spice flavors were very good. I won't be back and definitely like Buffalo Wild Wings better. There's also not very much sitting here as the location is small but that wasn't an issue when I was there so I don't know if it ever is. read more
