Sundubu & Beef Bulgogi Combo; Follow me @RimyEats on Instagram
Amy Z.

I ordered the Sundubu & Beef Bulgogi Combo, ALL this for $26.99, that's a deal!! I stopped by there for a solo dinner and love getting combos because it gives me protein and a seafood tofu soup and I LOVE SOUP. The soup was so tasty and was a tad spicy but good. Paired perfectly with rice. The beef was also tasty and I definitely had enough for another meal. A small parking lot outside. Staff was friendly.

Bibimbap + banchan (oi-muchim, kimchi, kongnamul muchim, musaengchae)

Delicious food! Small little shop I found on my way back to the hotel. Ordered bibimbap and it came with an assortment of banchan. Flavorful, crunchy, and perfect Server checked in with me once and after that, allowed me to enjoy my food without interruption. Definitely recommend this little gem

It was my first time coming here but I can't wait to come back again! I found this place from a TikTok comment and thought I would check it out. No regrets! I was a little wary from other reviews but I thought I would try it for myself. I got the sundubu and spicy pork bulgogi. The sundubu was different from ones that I had before on the more mild side but it was still nice because of the cold weather. The spicy pork bulgogi was the star of the show for sure! It was at an enjoyable level of spice and the serving size was difficult for me to finish. It comes with rice and side dishes like cucumber kimchi, kimchi, and radish. Extra side dishes weren't an extra charge which I always find nice. The cucumber kimchi had a nice crunch and good favor. I would say that they weren't spicy but added enough kick. The server was very nice to me and answered the questions that I had and asked if I had any allergies, which I don't even remember the last time a server asked if I did. I came in by myself today but I'll have to come back with friends soon!

Tried for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the sundubu and the galbi. While we were waiting, the waitress brought out some kimchi and cucumber banchan. Both were good, the kimchi had just enough spice and the cucumbers were crispy and sweet. Later they also brough us a daikon radish banchan. Sundubu came bubbling hot- it's a seafood sundubu (shrimp, calamari, mussels). The galbi was served on a sizzling plate. Everything tasted really good. Restaurant is a bit on the darker side. Wish they had brought out more banchan dishes as those are some of my favorites.

Oh man!!! This spot truly hits the spot. See what I did over there. Okay, let's be real. There aren't alot of korean restaurants in the area, but this is the best one that I regularly go to. I love it. You'll get your standard korean side dishes, though it's limited. You can order anything else. I normally get the bulgogi and soup. It's really good. The customer service is great. They are always nice and respectful. The decro is very traditional Korean. I love the table and chair. The parking can be troublesome but you can actually park in the back. A lot of people don't know this. The price is reasonable. You'll want to come back. I hope you'll enjoy this place as much as I do.

I entrées are absolutely amazing however the cost is extremely high when compared to other dine-in establishments. Perplexed that military discounts are not provided nor given on Veteran's Day. Hill Air Force Base is .5 miles from this location and has supported this business for multiple decades though it has changed ownership 3 times. The last and current owners have exponentially increased cost for all item on the menu.

We are from Los Angeles and were pleasantly surprised. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon were authentic. The bibimbap and bulgogi were delicious. The daikon appetizer was crunchy and seasoned well. IMO food is better than Paik's Noodles in SLC. Service was also very good.

I called and placed an order for the Bulgogi Beef, 5 fried chicken, and dumpling soup. I want to start off with the fried chicken. I wish they would've specified ANYWHERE that It was wings. They gave us 4 actual wings and the 5th piece was so tiny, it couldn't have been a wing. The wings had a lot of batter! Saving grace was the sauce they provided for the wings. Pretty delish. And they were pretty pricey, in my opinion. On to the bulgogi beef, I was expecting something with sauce but there was no sauce and it was ok. Refreshing to the palette with the green onions and other veggies they put on it. Dumpling soup was ok. Packed a nice punch (spice wise). Pick up was fast and easy. Cute little restaurant.

I lived in South Korea from 2016-2020 and this restaurant has the most authentic tasting kimchi that I've had since moving back to the states. I ordered the japchae with no meat. It can be purchased in a small or large size. Because I'm greedy, I ordered the large size for my lunch and I have no complaints about it. It had good flavor and was very filling.....

Our visit here today was okay. It's nice and clean inside and service is good. A bit on the pricy end for regular Korean food - I get inflation is real but 29.99 for kalbi ribs entree? Uh no I don't think so. Like we can get AYCE bbq in salt lake for less :/ That's pretty silly to me. The beef bowl lunch special was alright. Banchan was 3 tiny servings which they refill I just can't get over the pricing. I'm even more salty my cousin paid for it lmao

Had the beef bulkogy for lunch yesterday, the place was packed but they were serving quickly. Great tasting beef and I love the daikon radish side. I opt for the brown rice for a little more healthy of a meal. Cost was almost $12.00

Chicken Yakisoba

Popped in here for a mid-week lunch by myself. Lots of Asian diners, so I'm guessing it's going to be pretty good. It's also been recommended by co-workers. I ordered "safe" - chicken yakisoba and egg rolls. The chicken was dark and white meat, some of it a bit dry. The flavoring used also didn't blow my socks off, but it's a personal thing and no reflection on the freshness of the desk. The egg rolls were okay. Portions were huge, but I didn't take the leftovers because I knew I would not reheat them. Pricing is comparable to other places. Service was good, fast, attentive and my drink did not run dry. I will give it another go and next time step out of my comfort zone for a true Korean dish. There has to be a reason it's so popular, right?

I loved the sauce on these. We also shared an order of gyoza. It was really hot & fresh when we received it. My boyfriend really liked these. I ordered a vegetarian roll. It was okay, not my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the 7 piece nigiri. He was a little worried because it was chefs choice, but he ended up liking it. He wasn't sure that the light colored fish was & said he would never order that if he had the choice because he loves tuna nigiri but he said it was really good. The light colored fish had a more salty taste to it. He also ordered a sushi roll, however I cannot remember which kind it was for the life of me. He liked it though.

After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

Suburban Utah isn't synonymous with Korean food. However, bearing an appetite fueled by a long ski…read moreday and with the optimism of a man seeking the protein boost of unlimited bulgogi, I decided to gamble on Ombu for dinner one night last week. The restaurant was about a third full when I arrived, with one large party in the center. Their children were tearing around the restaurant, and had invented a game that involved throwing things into an unused grill. It looked quite fun, to be fair, and involved a lot of screaming and running, but it was rather distracting to a tired ski bum in need of a more relaxing meal. The food ordering system is via a tablet, where you pick what you want and - if n my experience - there's a 75% chance that the right item gets delivered to you. Sometimes your Kalbi will be pork belly, and to be honest you'll be glad it was because the kalbi itself is super tough. Similarly the beef tongue, which gave my jaw a workout it won't forget in a hurry. My tofu and kimchi soup contained a bonus unpeeled shrimp, which I found languishing at the bottom. Fortunately it was fully cooked. Rice paper isn't a thing here, but the rice dishes from the menu turn up cold anyway so it's almost the same. I hate to say this too, but one of the biggest issues I encountered was my server's lack of English, which actually made questioning the above shrimp incident - or indeed querying menu items - impossible. I tried, but he thought I wanted to order another bowl of the soup. Genuinely not hating in that regard, learning languages is tough plus I accept that English is not the native language of Korea and it's not like I speak any Korean, but it was rather frustrating at the time. So... why, you might ask, is this not a one-star review? Well... the brisket could've been way worse, the bulgogi was at least average, the pork belly was actually pretty good, and (until I found the errant shrimp) the tofu and kimchi soup was very enjoyable. Despite the communication issues, my server was diligent and friendly too, and I doubt the noisy children eat there every night. My own expectations are unfairly skewed too; K-town restaurants in LA take a lot to match. Will I go back? Honest answer: Probably not, but that may be as much my issue as theirs.

Staff is very friendly and food/ drink came out quick. Staff works well as a team. The restaurant seemed pretty cleaned even though there is a lot going on from everyone cooking their food and all the things being delivered to us. The food taste amazing!!! I love that it is all you can eat appetizers and entrees with the option to have a cooked Korean meal instead. Such a fun experience to cook yourself and order whatever you want off the tablet. The ambience is comfortable. It has a very simple design but I like how it makes each table feel comfortable while maximizing their space. For two after tip we paid $67 to dine here. Worth every dollar! Will definitely come back again!!

From Yelp reviews, we started the gastronomic adventure with lunch at Pad Thai. After a pleasant meal, I inquired as to where I could locate an Asian grocery store. The lovely lady tending us directed us to Z World Express. It took a couple of passes up and down Main street looking at both ends of the RV lot we were directed to look for before spying the brick building with red white and blue sign. Not much to see from the outside, no hint that groceries are there, but on inside, jackpot!! This place is packed floor to ceiling with tiny aisles you have to squeeze through. There is a nice representation of Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and some Indian selections. There are several chest freezers filled with a plethora of frozen seafood. The back wall is a bank of coolers with a nice selection of fresh veggies, Fresh Pho Noodles, and other tasy treats. I picked up Tom Yum soup base, Masaman Curry Paste, coconut cream, Thai Tea, instant Pho broth, Mabo Tofu sauce and a nice selection of snacks. Prices are actually a little less than what I am used to paying in Seattle, another nice bonus. The owners were very engaging and very helpful. They directed us to Best Teriyaki for a Korean fix, which turned out to be spot on. Good service, excellent selection of foods, definitely a hidden gem

This was by FAR my worst dining experience ever! I am not even kidding you. And the fact that this…read morerestaurant was featured on "Shark Tank" and all the sharks were interested is beyond my imagination. Certainly NOT a fan of Mark Cuban after this (as if I ever was..lol... once upon a time maybe). First of all, I ordered two Cupbop's with absolutely NO rice or noodles. I wanted just straight veggies with my two meat preferences which were Koko (tender Korean beef) and at a small additional fee Korean marinated BBQ beef. I requested the spice level of 9 (as I like my dishes HOT) with the sauce on the side. I did receive two separate small sauce condiment cups for each bop. I did not receive ANY veggies! It was ALL clumped together hard white rice with barely a handful of the KoKo and beef. I even separated it out and took photos for reference so you can see how SMALL the meat portions are! I have never felt so ripped off in my life (and trust me, that's saying something)! I also ordered a side of three Mandoo (which were at least decent), but thank GOD that I requested my Cupbop's sauce on the side otherwise there would have been no sauce for those. I have been to every teriyaki grill, Korean establishment, Japanese..etc..bulgogi...this restaurant is really one that does it ALL wrong! The rice wasn't even edible and I didn't even want it, so it got tossed. Took photos of both Cupbop's meat combined and out of each bop. We will not be hearing about this chain 20 years from now, and more than likely, not ten! My receipt showed my whole order as I requested correctly. What exactly is wrong with the Layton employees? Can they not read? Do they just not care?? This definitely is NOT what was represented on Shark Tank and I'm thinking just like everyone else that gets money and fame too quickly..how QUICKLY they fall! Save your money folks. Teriyaki Grill is where it's at. Next is Q-One in the Layton mall. They at least read instructions though it's a bit too oiled down.
