B Bop (beef)
Dan S.

Can't believe we have been going to Cupbop for over a decade now, starting when it was only a food truck with really long lines and very enthusiastic employees yelling Kko Kko bop or whatever was ordered. That said Cupbop has become a regular staple at our house, something even the kids like. Their consistency is great, always good. And their spice levels are really dialed in. I get a 3 which I would call mild with just a hint of a kick, 4 starts to get a little hot. My wife loves the Cupbop and would get it weekly if she could. She tried the Piggy Bop, spicy pork, and I was amazed at how much it changed the flavor, it was really good and different than the Kko Kko bop or B bop. I prefer the B bop and it was on point today. The mandoo side is a must every time, crunchy pot stickers with their sauces and teriyaki sauce is so good.

The cupbop in Layton is great. It always tastes good and I've never had to wait in a super long line. I've been a few times for lunch and I don't feel like this place gets a "lunch rush". When I go it's usually around 11:30-12. I feel like the restaurant is a little awkward. It's so big and empty feeling for a little cupbop. It used to be connected with 2 other shops (tacos and a ramen) but now I think it's just a ramen. However you can order ramen and cupbop on the same order and that's really nice when your family wants two different things. If you haven't had cupbop before I would recommend the Rock bop. I always get a level 3 and it's hardly spicy. I can handle up to the spice level of a hot Cheeto.. and I feel like I could go up to a 4 with no problem.

Combo Bop (Pork and Tangy Fried Chicken) with spice level 5 sauce

My Combo Bop (Pork and Tangy Fried Chicken) with spice level 5 sauce was delicious! In the past, I would always get the Piggy Bop (Pork), but the Tangy Fried Chicken is new, so I tried it and it's my new favorite. My wife said it reminded me of Winger's Sticky Fingers. Nice crunchy texture to balance out the rest of the dish. My wife ordered the B Bop (Beef) and I don't know if it was the beef or the sauce, but something made her unwell, unfortunately.

Okay I finally got to try the food here, I ordered the combo of chicken & beef. I hate giving bad reviews and was hoping for something really good. The beef and chicken was dry and flavorless, the rice was also dry. They put a mayo based sauce on top and that is not good eats for Koren food. Sadly I chomped on a chicken bone and that ended my lunch experience. I don't think ill try it again.

Vegetable Bop and Noodle Bop (Vegetarian)

All of the Cupbop bowls come with rice, cabbage mix and glass noodles and most of the bowls contain chicken. I think I saw one bowl on the menu with pork. There's also a selection of Ramen dishes to choose from, as well as kimchi and potstickers for sides. I love glass noodles but I don't love plain white rice and my husband is the complete opposite. Cupbop gives you the choice for more noodles/less rice and more rice/less noodles. I go for more noodles and also an additional side of noodles.

3 orders of #3 served hot

Very open and clean. Great atmosphere. Service was very friendly and patient. We are visiting Utah and stopped off to eat. This place looked interesting. As we came in we were greeted. We had a lot of questions and Marcuis was so patient. He suggested the #3. We ordered that and the Korean corn dog. The number 3 was delish. Perfect crunch on the chicken. We had mild. Just enough heat. (#65) I do recommend maybe more vegetarian or seafood options. That would be nice. They do have some vegetarian options like tofu. The food came out fast. I highly recommend this as a place to grab a quick Korean dish.

Seaweed Salad

Fast service, clean environment, and solid flavors. We got the Rock Bop (tangy fried chicken), B Bop (bulgogi beef), seaweed salad, and potstickers. The "cup" is more like a bowl, so it's plenty of food. I'm not sure what the sauce is (similar to spicy mayo?), but it's tasty! You get to choose the spice level from 1-10. I think it needed more sauce, but the chicken was deliciously crispy. The potstickers should also come with sauce. Next time, I'll ask for all rice noodles (no rice) and it should be even better!

Poop gold, yes indeed. Good job

Been here twice in a couple of days. Came for lunch after an appointment and had the combo bop#1 with chicken and Korea beef. Delish. The sauce was level 3 - a spicy mayo but just a tad sweeter (Americanized) it was still yummy. Hubby made us go back for black garlic pork ramen. Highly recommend this dish here.

I really like Cupbop, but I've been to better locations. My biggest complaint is that they "forgot" to label our 10 orders, and didn't offer any suggestions or ways to make it right. We were left trying to figure it out ourselves but it was almost impossible to know which ones had certain spice levels. They really need to label which is which, and at least not just say "oops" and walk away. Good customer service would've gone a long way for me. The other thing that this location can improve on is the ratios of everything. Instead of having even amounts of rice, noodles, and cabbage, it was pretty much all noodles with a little rice and a couple strands of cabbage. I definitely prefer when they're more equal. Other than that, the flavor was great and I do enjoy the food at Cupbop (I haven't tried any of the other places that they combined with here).

Garlic ramen
Nhung N.

Got the garlic ramen, everything tasted delicious except.....they used shredded pork from the taco place instead of chasu pork belly! I checked other Ramen 930 franchise to see if this was normal, it is NOT. If they fix the pork problem, it would definitely be my favorite ramen place in Utah, But until then, I will not be back.

Went tonight & the line was crazy! I expected this since they were doing a $5.99 deal for all bop bowls. Staff was so great though. Cheerful attitudes & happy spirits despite the long line. First time going to a cupbop & the food was really good. I was happy they had so many vegetarian options. Spicy sauce scale ranges from 1-10, so there are plenty of options. Everything seemed clean. Would recommend.

Layton location, cupbop+Ramen930
Jessica N.

Could have been wayyyy better. I took my dad to try Ramen930. I've been to the one in Lehi several times and was impressed. The Layton location is very underwhelming. We received less Ramen and it was the to-go style (I felt like my dad didn't get the full experience) and the noodles were a little hard. it was $25 something for 2 miso Ramens (+2 water cups) On the upside, my dad didn't know any different and liked the Ramen (miso) with some of their hot sauce. socially-distanced tables (only 4 because ours was directly under the amazing AC we had to move so our Ramen wouldn't cool down too much clean dining area quality (at this location) service was good price for quality (at this location) - I would definitely pay $12.50/bowl for what they serve in Lehi

Kudos to this guy for holding it down

The ramen was better compared to Haru Ramen in Clearfield. Broth was more flavorful. Still on the hunt for the best ramen.

I got the Katsu Bop which was yummy except that the katsu wasn't warm at all! I can't imagine how great it would be with fresh Katsu.

I loved the sauce on these. We also shared an order of gyoza. It was really hot & fresh when we received it. My boyfriend really liked these. I ordered a vegetarian roll. It was okay, not my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the 7 piece nigiri. He was a little worried because it was chefs choice, but he ended up liking it. He wasn't sure that the light colored fish was & said he would never order that if he had the choice because he loves tuna nigiri but he said it was really good. The light colored fish had a more salty taste to it. He also ordered a sushi roll, however I cannot remember which kind it was for the life of me. He liked it though.

They say curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought him back…read more Well, curiousity about Osaka Sushi & Izakaya on Heritage Blvd in Layton, did indeed about kill this cat and absolutely NO satisfaction will ever bring this one back! After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

Suburban Utah isn't synonymous with Korean food. However, bearing an appetite fueled by a long ski…read moreday and with the optimism of a man seeking the protein boost of unlimited bulgogi, I decided to gamble on Ombu for dinner one night last week. The restaurant was about a third full when I arrived, with one large party in the center. Their children were tearing around the restaurant, and had invented a game that involved throwing things into an unused grill. It looked quite fun, to be fair, and involved a lot of screaming and running, but it was rather distracting to a tired ski bum in need of a more relaxing meal. The food ordering system is via a tablet, where you pick what you want and - if n my experience - there's a 75% chance that the right item gets delivered to you. Sometimes your Kalbi will be pork belly, and to be honest you'll be glad it was because the kalbi itself is super tough. Similarly the beef tongue, which gave my jaw a workout it won't forget in a hurry. My tofu and kimchi soup contained a bonus unpeeled shrimp, which I found languishing at the bottom. Fortunately it was fully cooked. Rice paper isn't a thing here, but the rice dishes from the menu turn up cold anyway so it's almost the same. I hate to say this too, but one of the biggest issues I encountered was my server's lack of English, which actually made questioning the above shrimp incident - or indeed querying menu items - impossible. I tried, but he thought I wanted to order another bowl of the soup. Genuinely not hating in that regard, learning languages is tough plus I accept that English is not the native language of Korea and it's not like I speak any Korean, but it was rather frustrating at the time. So... why, you might ask, is this not a one-star review? Well... the brisket could've been way worse, the bulgogi was at least average, the pork belly was actually pretty good, and (until I found the errant shrimp) the tofu and kimchi soup was very enjoyable. Despite the communication issues, my server was diligent and friendly too, and I doubt the noisy children eat there every night. My own expectations are unfairly skewed too; K-town restaurants in LA take a lot to match. Will I go back? Honest answer: Probably not, but that may be as much my issue as theirs.

Staff is very friendly and food/ drink came out quick. Staff works well as a team. The restaurant seemed pretty cleaned even though there is a lot going on from everyone cooking their food and all the things being delivered to us. The food taste amazing!!! I love that it is all you can eat appetizers and entrees with the option to have a cooked Korean meal instead. Such a fun experience to cook yourself and order whatever you want off the tablet. The ambience is comfortable. It has a very simple design but I like how it makes each table feel comfortable while maximizing their space. For two after tip we paid $67 to dine here. Worth every dollar! Will definitely come back again!!

From Yelp reviews, we started the gastronomic adventure with lunch at Pad Thai. After a pleasant meal, I inquired as to where I could locate an Asian grocery store. The lovely lady tending us directed us to Z World Express. It took a couple of passes up and down Main street looking at both ends of the RV lot we were directed to look for before spying the brick building with red white and blue sign. Not much to see from the outside, no hint that groceries are there, but on inside, jackpot!! This place is packed floor to ceiling with tiny aisles you have to squeeze through. There is a nice representation of Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and some Indian selections. There are several chest freezers filled with a plethora of frozen seafood. The back wall is a bank of coolers with a nice selection of fresh veggies, Fresh Pho Noodles, and other tasy treats. I picked up Tom Yum soup base, Masaman Curry Paste, coconut cream, Thai Tea, instant Pho broth, Mabo Tofu sauce and a nice selection of snacks. Prices are actually a little less than what I am used to paying in Seattle, another nice bonus. The owners were very engaging and very helpful. They directed us to Best Teriyaki for a Korean fix, which turned out to be spot on. Good service, excellent selection of foods, definitely a hidden gem
