I got Basil Pesto chicken sandwich and oh my god. It is so good. I'm looking forward for more bites and sips from that place.

Potbelly - A wreck with the works

The cashier was kind, but she did overcharge us. We didn't go back for a refund, but it was odd she charged us for combos and added the drinks and chips in separately on top of that. The food itself was really good, so I'm happy about that. The Mac and cheese my son had was delicious! Inside was mainly clean, but all the tables were taken, so we ended up eating at a park instead. Overall, good food, but customer service could be improved.

I think once they get into their groove and get a few weeks under their belt it'll run quicker. The sandwiches were delicious and we split an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie which was soft and tasty. I am looking forward to trying the soups, Mac and cheese and chili Mac when fall gets here but it's way too hot out to try those now. They also serve ice cream shakes and they looked so good when they made one but I can't do dairy with the heat so I'll have to wait to try them. The decor was pretty unique and made for a clean feeling. They had old pictures of potbelly stoves and a little section of tin ceiling over the kitchen. The staff were great and welcoming and they have a little set up for picking up online orders. There's also a drive thru. This is definitely a place I'll be frequenting in the future.

I have several smokers in my backyard and have catered different parties both for work and for neighbors. I'm fairly picky when it comes to BBQ especially with the prices you pay for it these days. If you're going to charge me $30 for a plate of bbq, it better knock my socks off. I went to a Mission BBQ in Nashville when I was there for training. It was so good, I was shocked when I learned it was a chain restaurant. When I think of chain bbq places I think of Dickies which my phone just auto corrected to Sickies and I almost left it . This place and Dickies are worlds apart. mission has real, good., quality BBQ. Good Texas brisket, the sausage was great. Turkey was a bit dry but I wasn't mad at it, it was still good. I also don't like green beans and as you can see from the pic I get the green beans. That's saying something if you knew me. The service was extremely friendly. Honestly it reminded me of Texas bbq spots. Where it's about the food, but it's just as much about the people. Just good people getting together, enjoying yummy food and each others company. I don't know if this is an every day thing but I had recommended my parents go here when they were in the area. They said a server brought out a free dessert to them that my dad still raves about. When I was there a server tried to give us a huge plate of fries but we had all just finished eating and had to politely decline the offer as we were all stuffed. He walked around and found another table to gift it to. So I don't know if this always happens but the two times I know of they were just giving stuff out, pretty cool. We spoke with a couple of employees and a manager, everyone was super friendly, can't say enough good. Inside is pretty typical BBQ joint. They had a six pack of bbq sauces on the table. As much as I like just eating the meat so you can taste the meat and smoke, I also love me a good bbq sauce. They had a couple that were pretty yummy. You absolutely have to get the cheesy potatoes. I crave them more often than I'd like to admit. It's. A good thing I don't live closer to this spot cause it would be a problem. I'd stop in just for a side of the potatoes. I'll definitely make the hour drive to come back. It's worth it. I've been to most of the BBQ spots in Utah, this one is definitely up there for me among the top. Bam Bams and Pats have been my favorite spots for years. This might take the #1 spot for me though.

    Potbelly Sandwich Shop

    Potbelly Sandwich Shop

There's something inherently appealing about Potbelly Sandwich Shop--the concept is simple,…read moreapproachable, and priced right. On paper, it hits that sweet spot: quick, casual sandwiches with a bit of personality. In practice, though, the execution doesn't keep up with the promise. The biggest issue is the production line--or lack of one. For a place built around fast sandwiches, a 5-8 minute wait from order to pickup feels unnecessarily sluggish. It's not just the time--it's the absence of rhythm. There's no visible flow, no sense that orders are moving forward with purpose. That's compounded by the physical layout: the counter is set back far enough that you can't really see what's happening. Instead of transparency and anticipation, you're left standing there, disconnected, waiting without context. Then there's the food itself. The sandwiches land squarely in the "fine, but forgettable" category. Hot sandwiches, in particular, miss the mark--more like something that sat a little too long than something freshly made. Think lukewarm bread with onions that feel more tired than grilled. Nothing is outright bad, but nothing stands out either. The atmosphere doesn't help. The energy behind the counter is low--no urgency, no enthusiasm, no sense that the team is driving toward anything. It feels static. In a space like this, momentum matters. Even average food can feel better when it's delivered with speed and intention. Here, that spark is missing. In the end, Potbelly has the right idea and the right price point--but without tightening up efficiency, improving visibility, and bringing some life back into the service, it struggles to deliver on what should be a straightforward win

The two employees seem to be sharing a single brain cell and they have the get up and go of a zoo sloth. It's just after 12pm and there are no cookies prepped, the tables are trashed and the soups weren't ready. You can see the regret in the face of each customer as they watch the employees scramble around. I have to say I likely won't keep coming back because it just hasn't gotten better. It's a shame because the business has potential if it were run properly.

They don't take reservations but I called ahead as the staff suggested to get a sense of the expected wait time. I called again to say we were on our way and When we arrived the hostess was more interested in answering the phone than helping to seat us. Over and over again she ignored us and kept us standing with all the other hopeful patrons in the tiny waiting area. With several open tables. Wtf? Finally she came to the conclusion she could seat us. Get a plan. The wine list is decent but unless you can educate your staff as to what's on offer and how to help your guests, why have it? This is typical of utah eateries. I get it. You're hamstrung by the alcohol laws to some extent but if you're going to offer wine, make the effort to educate your staff if your patrons have questions. Once ordered, our entrees came out so fast as so suggest they'd been prepared and sitting under a heat lamp. The glossy thick and cloying sweet gravy of the sauerbraten would assume nothing less. This place has promise but it's small and noisy. It was packed by 6 pm on a Friday with large parties of families toting kids in strollers. If you're looking for something quiet and intimate, you might find it on another nightie somewhere else.
