The location is in a grocery store plaza so there's plenty of parking available. The restaurant itself isn't that big, so there was a bit of a wait (but worth it!). There were chefs making fresh noodles. Jackpot!! I ordered a shrimped, pork, and chives steak dumpling. It was so good. Nice and fresh. I ordered the Bone-in noodle soup with knife cut noodles. So good!! The brother looks clear but it is so good in flavor. The noodles that were knife cut are the chewiest noodles and they were. The food is absolutely delicious after living in New York for close to 20 years, the price is a little shocking but the food is definitely delicious. We got pan fried dumplings, Taiwanese style beef roll and some absolutely delicious fried rice. We would definitely recommend this place.. we were the last order they took. I really love Noodle Street in Monrovia. I came here when they first opened with my wife and my boss (two separate people, this time), and I have returned several times. This last visit was extra nice because we brought two of our four kids. What a treat! I'll start with the food. It's great. I generally come for some variety of soup, most often ramen. This visit I ordered the Japanese Style Miso Noodle Soup. At Noodle Street, one can choose from a variety of noodle "types." Texture is a big part of the eating experience, so choose wisely. I wanted something hearty today, so I went with the triangle cut. We also ordered some sides, most notably the scallion pancake, which is a family favorite that we order wherever we go, and the pork dumplings. Once again, we had options: pan fried or steamed. We went with fried today. Both sides were absolutely delectable. The ambiance is relaxed and the decor modern. It can get a little noisy when it's packed, but I don't mind the noise, most of which is from the customers, not the restaurant itself. Don't worry, it's a polite kind of noisiness, happy people eating delicious comfort food. This isn't a Patrick Swayze Road House situation. Last but not least, the service is swift and attentive. The wait staff move swiftly from table to table, taking orders, delivering food, and checking in to ensure everything is satisfactory. The level of service is enough to make me feel valued without crossing the line into intrusiveness. On our last visit (Nov. 27, 2022) the place was absolutely packed, but we managed to get seated quickly. We had a slight snafu with our order. My daughter and I both ordered the Japanese Style Miso Noodle soup, but the kitchen only sent one out. I waited a bit to see if it was just taking longer or if it was truly forgotten before alerting our server. He felt so bad and rushed back to have one made on the fly. I had my soup in minutes, and it was worth the wait. I mention this issue because this can happen anywhere. What matters is how the establishment responds, and I am happy to say that this was not only an honest mistake but also one that was corrected swiftly and professionally. This incident makes me love Noodle Street in Monrovia even more. If you are reading this review, I hope you'll give Noodle Street a chance. They are just the nicest people, and the food is great. I got Covid again and was dying for some hearty soup yesterday, so ordered from this place through Door Dash. I had the spicy beef noodle soup and it hit the spot!! The portion size was also enormous, so I was able to save almost half of the dish for dinner #2. On a spicy level, I'd give it a 3, so not actually spicy at all, but at least had a kick to it. As others recently mentioned, the beef in this dish is exactly like birria and the dish overall was a wee bit salty (and I admittedly love salt too much, so that's saying a lot coming from me lol). But overall, 5/5 for sure! The homemade noodles were bomb and I love how you get to pick the cut of the noddle. We stopped into the restaurant because of the reviews while traveling through Monrovia. Very efficient place and we were seated right away. We had the beef shank noodles with kale and pickled cabbage. The broth was excellent especially how spicy it was. Not for those who don't enjoy spice. Serving size was very good. My only regret is getting the standard round noodles since they were too mushy for me. Next time I'll try the thickest noodle which is the knife cut since I like my noodles to be more al dente. We also ordered some steamed and fried dumplings as well as the garlic cucumber salad. The fried dumplings were better than the steamed in my opinion but I could do without ordering either next time. I ordered their signature noodle and it took about 10 minutes to arrive. I loved the light taste of the soup with the addition of cilantro. The meat was also nicely cooked but not too firm. I also loved the generous amount of green onions in the soup, which provided a nice tinge and texture. I wasn't that big of a fan for the noodle. It was slightly too soft for my liking. Service was quick and responsive and knew from the dishes we ordered that we will be needing two small bowls to share food. They were even attentive in seeing the slight struggle of cutting the noodles to offer nicely packaged scissors. I wish I gotten the beef noodle soup with hand shaven noodles after reading other reviews instead of the small flat noodles. The beef rolls have a little too much green onions, but they were repurposed into the beef noodle soup. It would be better to have the shredded ginger from the soup dumplings in a sauce plate than piled on the center dumpling so it can be mixed with soy sauce/vinegar/chili oil. Am I a big fan of their thick cut noodles that's homemade? It's good but nothing earth-shattering for me. I've tried a variety of their dishes here and my favorite, so far, is their Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. I definitely like the Monrovia location better than their Pasadena spot since they have a more extensive menu. It is also nice that they keep their restaurant air-conditioned, especially during the summer months when I'm trying to enjoy a bowl of hot noodle soup without sweating off my makeup. Perhaps this is a controversial opinion but I'm not a big fan of them giving us ladles instead of a normal noodle soup spoon - it is ridiculous to maneuver. -Stir Fry Noodles w/Tofu: 4/5; this is the epitome of ugly-delicious. Very filling and a large portion. -Spicy Beef Noodle Soup: 5/5; has a good kick and they load it with a variety of toppings. -Japanese Miso Noodle Soup: 3/5; they use their pork broth which is way too thick and heavy since they don't skim the fat out of it. -Dan Dan Noodle (Dry): 4/5; this is not your traditional Dan Dan since their version is served in that fatty pork broth so I had to ask for it dry. Thank goodness I did since the broth was given to me on the side, which frankly looked unattractive and tasted bland. The last time I looked at the Arcadia menu, I noticed some dishes were not available here. I am not sure if that has changed, but I recommend you double-check before going. I love their Spicy Beef Noodle Soup 20/10! Most of the time it is spicy. I like that you can choose which noodles you want. I always get standard for this. This is definitely my favorite dish at Noodle St. The Cucumber Salad is not my fave, it has a certain taste that I do not like, but my friends do enjoy it. Chicken Wings are good too, but I only ordered it once. I also like their Stir Fry Noodles 9/10 which I do change up here and there. I like to order the shrimp, chicken, or tofu. You get to build your own and choose your noodles too. The Cha-Shu Pork Fried Rice is yummy 20/10! I highly recommend it. I also like to order the Watermelon Juice. It is always so fresh and just the right amount of sweet. My friends order the Passion Fruit Green Tea. *Will post pics soon.* Service is great, they are always nice and welcoming. Scallion pancakes are the most basic, generic Taiwanese food you can get. You can't really mess it up, but typically you don't see them being the star of the show either. For some reason, the scallion pancakes here just hit the spot! Very crunchy on the outside, and still soft and chewy on the thin center. My family and I frequent Noodle St. about once per month! We have been coming here for the last several years, especially when it is cold, their Ramen hits the spot! Their beef pancakes are also delicious (my husband's favorite) as are their lamb skewers, which my daughter really enjoys. My son really enjoys their Korean beef with rice and I really like their shrimp stir-fry. I have tried other Ramen places, but this one tops them all, especially because many Ramen places utilize a creamy broth, which my family does not enjoy. Noodle St.'s Ramen base broth tastes perfect! All noodles noted on the menu are made with eggs except for the knife cut noodles and rice noodles. If you're gluten free and vegan, there is a rice noodle option. I ordered the Tofu Stir Fry with Knife cut noodles, Veggie Rice Noodle Soup, and Scallion Pancakes. I loved the sauce for the Tofu Stir Fry noodles and the Scallion Pancakes were deliciously crispy. I thought Veggie Rice Noodle Soup was okay. It needed more flavor. I most likely would not order this again. Staff were nice and noise level was average. This restaurant is in downtown Monrovia.
