Food was good and the service was super fast. I got the cold noodle dish for $11 and it was just enough for me. My friend got the beef noodle soup. One review on here said it was like pho, and I honestly didn't believe it until the soup came out. My friend recommended that we try this restaurant for dinner, and we went with her husband and also my wife as a double date. Noodle St in Arcadia is located inside the Santa Anita Mall, right by Din Tai Fung. There was a short wait to get seats, but eventually we got seated in a comfy table for four. Our friend recommended the Qinghai Cold Noodle and ordered it as an appetizer. We shared the signature beef noodle soup and a side of the beef stuffed pancake. The food came out in a reasonable time. The Qinghai Cold Noodles, which we ordered with knife cut noodles, were solid. Definitely reminded me of pho. The beef stuffed pancake tasted more like a a potsticker than a pancake. What a satisfying treat after not having eaten all day! Stopped by Santa Anita mall today to walk around and came across noodle street and I am happy we did. Though the restaurant is inside a mall, it is still very pretty and you still feel private while having your meal. Service was kind and prompt, I left my card when we were done paying and our waiter chased me down to give me my card, so thankful for her! The food was out very quickly; the only thing is they do bring the food out as it's ready not in a group, but they are so fast it's not much waiting time in between. I got the spicy beef noodle and a side of French fries and my friend got the chicken soup. The spicy beef noodle isn't extremely spicy, but it definitely builds up and will have your lips tingling, it was really good. A small group of us (4 people) visited Noodle St as guests of another couple. This is one of their favorite places to eat, and they were excited to take us. The service was basic and professional, not warm and welcoming. Based on recommendations from our hosts three of us ordered the beef soup and one ordered fried rice. The rice was rather bland and lacked any seasoning (not even salt). The two who added chili oil to their soup enjoyed it. The one person who didn't, found the soup to have a plastic taste to it. It looks like it really comes down to personal preferences. This location is in the mall, with seating right along the walkway. Clear delicious broth is what I liked most about this place and very attentive staff. I came here twice in the same week, once with friends and once with family. Both times I had the signature beef noodle soup, which I enjoyed the clear tasty broth. It reminds me of pho soup, but with Chinese style noodles and garnish. We like getting the knife cut noodles because they are very thick. Other items we got was the calamari, which was good because the pieces are thick and paired well with the dipping sauce. We wished they also add more spice on it for more variety. We got more than I expected, so good portions. We loved the cucumber salad. Tastes good when you get it there because the sauce drops to the bottom, but you are the left with the most garlic and cilantro mix on the top of the cucumber that tastes so good. The cucumber is a must. I also had the their watermelon juice, which was soo good because it freshly grounded watermelon, which they display on the front. Definitely worth it! For drinks I got a cold, sweetened green tea which you can take to go as it's served in a plastic cup typically used for bubble tea. Paired great with the meal, very refreshing. I'd ordered the first dish I saw, which is the Qinghai clear cold noodle. The noodles were large, flat, thick, and sponged the broth along with garlic and chive garnish very well. I've never had anything like this dish and I'm glad I had. It's very comforting and you can order it mild on the spice level which I did. My friend ordered the spicy beef noodle soup. Everything about this was a home run. The beef was savory and tender, the noodles had some of the most flavor and best texture I've ever personally tried. We'd also ordered the beef roll pancake for the table which came with 4 large pieces. This was melt-in-your-mouth, and I could absolutely see myself eating this forever. The hoisin sauce balanced the savory dish with a sweet touch, and made every crispy, flaky bite that much more satisfying. I got mild and it wasn't too spicy. The beef was very tender and soft which I loved. I thought the Scallion Pancakes were okay. I had no expectations going into Noodle St. My family and I have seen it multiple times before when buying Uncle Tetsu's as it is right next door. How could a small noodle shop, inside a mall, next to Ding Tai Fung, even possibly survive? After running out of options to try in the Westfield Santa Anita Mall, it was finally time to try Noodle St. We checked in online on Yelp (definitely a pro tip when reserving seats), and my wife stood guard. The entire family of seven was seated within about fifteen minutes. We were given menus and kept oggling certain items such as the beef roll pancake and lamb skewers. We added potato string shrimp, signature beef noodles (with knife-cut noodles), noodles with minced beef sauce (with triangle noodles), bone-in rib noodle soup (with knife-cut noodles), chicken noodle soup (with standard round noodles), and spicy beef noodles (with knife-cut noodles). The other noodle choice that we could have opted for was the flat noodle but perhaps another time. Although we were seated in the corner, we could still see and hear the chefs pulling and slapping the noodles creating that classic "biang" noise with homemade noodles. Within minutes, our appetizers started coming, quickly followed by our soups. What caught us off guard was the depth of flavor within the broths. The chicken broth was so clear and flavorful as if chicken bones and bits were left simmering for days. One kid preferred the knife cut while the other enjoyed the standard round noodles but both loved this chicken broth. My wife loved the chewiness of the noodles with just enough bite. Each knife-cut noodle delicately lapped up the rich, deep broth. Another item that surprised us was the beef roll pancake. We had our fair share with my in-laws preferring Asian palates. This beef roll was stuffed to the brim and filled with the right amount of savory beef, cilantro, and hoisin sauce. The crunchy pancake juxtaposed with the soft, tender beef really sealed the deal. Upon paying the bill, our two kids noticed the freezer of macaroon ice cream situated near the cashier (dang, product placement)! The cashier told us they were having a sale for four for twenty dollars. Ehh, we spend so much anyway, might as well blow a few more dollars. All-in-all, Noodle St is definitely a place to try. Came here for dinner while shopping at the Santa Anita Mall. Always passed by it and never even thought to eat there. So glad we finally gave it a shot because it was amazing. They use Yelp waitlist which I love so that I'm free to walk around while waiting to be seated. It gives you a good idea of when your seat will be ready. It's pretty busy on a weekend too and I can see why. I opted for the bone in rib noodle. I gave it a 4/5 only because I wished the meat was a little bit more tender to where it fell off the bone. It was a little difficult to eat in front of a lot of people since you literally have to just pick up the bone and eat the meat. BUT none the less it was actually very tasty! My husband got the spicy beef soup which he absolutely LOVED! He loved everything about it. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the chicken fried rice. Noodle Street can't be beat. Like my review of Noodle Street in Pasadena, this Noodle Street also delivers delicious comforting noodle soup when you need it the most. Believe it or not, however, I think the Arcadia one edges out the Pasadena location with slightly more flavorful broths and spring-ier (or QQ) texture of noodles. We ordered the bone-in rib rice noodle soup, savory braised chicken noodle, beef roll, lamb skewers, and spicy beef noodle. Where to start. The broths and noodles for each of these were amazing, flavorful, and each bite better than the last. The bone-in rib comes with a giant tender beef rib that requires you to use your hands. For the savory braised chicken noodle, I expected the soup and chicken to be on the lighter end, but I was (pleasantly) mistaken as the savory soup activated each of my taste buds. I did not get the spicy beef noodle but from what I was told, it is definitely up there in quality and flavor. Finally, the beef roll and lamb skewers were great compliments to the noodle soup. I got the signature beef noodle soup with standard round noodle. You get choose the different type of noodles that they have. The noodles are hand tossed and you can see the chef tossing it around through the kitchen window. Our noodle soups came out pretty quick. The noodles chewy and fresh but the beef is the same as the pho noodle soup beef. There was no other ingredients inside except noodles, a few pieces of beef and cilantro. Over the past 5 years, this location's food has been consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. Beef Pancake/Scallion Pancake: this is a must try appetizer/ light meal. It always comes out piping hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. Egg Tomato Noodle: Must try with knife-cut noodle. You get a generous portion of eggs (2-3), and you can taste the fresh tomatoes in the light sauce. Bone-in-Rib Noodles: Instead of the rice noodles, substitute the for standard round, triangle, or knife cut (free of charge). The meat is generous (not one but TWO fall off the bone pieces). Besides the shape of the noodle, both standard round and triangle are made with water, flour, and eggs, while knife cut is made with water and flour. All 3 are made to order here. Qinghai Clear Noodle: By far, the best appetizer. Instead of opting for fries or calamari, get the Qinghai noodles, they will be life-changing. Since my review, I've been here 10+ times. The prices have had a slight increase and the packaging got a refresh. I've also noticed they double bag when a certain number of to-go items is reached. This was really important as the to-go bag is quite flimsy and I've had the bag rip from the heat and steam and contents spill out of the bottom more than a handful of times. Most importantly, portion size is now pretty consistent. I've included a few pics, I always order the same stuff, so they are all from different orders. I would say Noodle St is really good for some dishes and not as good for others. Their beef roll was really good! I would definitely come back for that. It was crispy but also soft, the beef was good, had the perfect amount of the hoisin sauce on it. I also ordered the signature beef noodle but wasn't as impressed with this. I thought the noodles themselves were great! Really perfect amount of thickness and chewiness for me personally. However, the broth just didn't taste like beef broth to me and it was really clear. I'm wondering if it was actually chicken broth. Tomato egg noodle is the yummiest. The egg is sooo soft and silky, and the tomatoes have nice textures. The sauce is thick, savory, sweet, and clings nicely to the thick knife cut noodles. If you have weak chopstick finger, it's a bit heavy to pickup :p Spicy beef noodle soup is pretty refreshing. The meats sink in the bottom so it'll look like there's none, but there's a decent amount. You can choose the type of noodle, we got the flat wide noodle. It's thick and chewy but not bouncy. Passion fruit green tea is not bad, but can be sweeter. We see a lot of watermelon juices in the display, must be big demand. Wait time can be long. Recommend getting on the waitlist. He was born and raised in Taiwan for 24 years, and we have even traveled there together and eaten 牛肉面 (beef noodle soup) across several night markets -- with this all being said, when we're eating beef noodle soup together in the States, we find Noodle St to be a great spot for spicy beef noodle soup! We decided to eat here as a second option. We really wanted to have dinner at Din Tai Fung next door but the wait time was 2-2.5 hrs which was crazy!! So we waited for our table here which had an estimate of 15-20 min. We walked around the mall before getting the notification that our table was ready. We stood at the front and waited a bit more till they seated us. The guy was behind the register with another worker just laughing and chatting while we stood there waiting. After a few minutes passed, I guess he saw us and pointed that we could sit at the end table... didn't even walk us over. We sat down and looked at the menu and it took about another 15 min till someone came by to greet us or take our drink orders. By that time we already knew what we wanted so we ordered. They didn't have what I wanted unfortunately and I was already in a bad mood overall so I ended up just having an iced black tea and the scallion pancakes. My bf had some meat soup thing and the rest of the family had some bulgogi rice bowls. Food came out pretty quickly but the scallions didn't come with any dipping sauce, so dry!! I've been to this location a few times, and it's a been a hit every single time. I like their signature noodle dish, and the beef rib dish is great as well. Service is always great, and there's never any intense wait times. Food usually comes as fast as you order, which makes it a great mid mall trip pit stop.
