Oh man oh man! If you want a taste of China or (Chinatown-Bellaire) in the Spring area then I highly recommend this restaurant to help you feel like you have been teleported to China. When I crave authentic Chinese I usually travel to Bellaire but it's a commute that I'm not always willing to take. The Duck Bao reminded me of an amazing one I had in NYC's Chinatown that I fell in love with. The bread to meat ratio was perfect and the duck was perfectly seasoned and did not need anything added. The waiter recommended the hot oil spill noodles (which are hand pulled) and they surprisingly packed a lot of flavor (only bc I based it on appearance at first). The beef ramen was beyond amazing and the beef itself was tender, moist, and melt in your mouth. Lastly the steamed pork scallion bao was pure perfection. I definitely will be back soon. This is my new favorite Chinese place in my neck of the woods! This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend of mine so we had to check it out. Everything (and I mean everything) we had was amazing. We tried the crab xiao long bao and those were delicious and the portions were big! The flavors were so crisp and the baos were made so well. We also tried the pork scallion steamed baos... the dough was so light and the filling was delicious. We got the sesame chicken dish, dry fried green beans, and the beef chow mein. Green beans had the perfect balance of szechuan spice and had a nice bite to them. The chow mein was hand pulled - the noodles were SO LONG and were cooked perfectly - the flavor of the sauce was great and the meat was cooked well. The sesame chicken dish was a little too sweet for me, but other than that I can't complain - the chicken was crispy and well cooked. Our servers were very attentive but extremely busy because of how quickly the dining room filled for dinner. This place is super authentic! The food is excellent, made to order, so fresh & very, very reasonably priced. You can see into the kitchen which is a nice touch - it's refreshing to know that a place is organized and clean. The chef is in a chef's jacket (is that the right word - forgive me if I'm wrong, insert correct word if so) and the server is probably a family member. Super polite, very attentive & informative on the menu. The menu is clearly defined and, as I said, the prices are very good. The whole Peking Duck is only $49.95 - looks to be a huge meal at a phenomenal price. I had the scallion pancakes that were on point - perfectly crisp and thin - not greasy and made when I ordered. The Tonkotsu Ramen (I got beef) was so good. The broth was rich and creamy. The noodles are hand-pulled. It was full of all the good stuff - boiled egg, thinly sliced, tender beef, mushrooms of several varieties (my fav) scallions, veggies - so good! I discovered this place while looking for dumpling restaurants near me and I decided to try this one out based on the reviews I've seen here on Yelp. I admit my expectations were average but I left quite satisfied with my meal. They do have QR codes to order your food online and most come with photos for visual aid. The noodles claim to be hand pulled and you can absolutely confirm that they are with their irregular shapes yet soft and chewy texture. Overall the beef noodle soup I had was actually really delicious. The xiao long bao was juicy and the flavor was there. My only critique about that is that the broth was just ever so slightly too salty for me, however, I do have a lower sodium tolerance than other people and if I think it's just a little bit too salty, it's probably perfect for many others. But it wasn't intolerable and I would 100% order them again. In the Spring area, good and authentic Chinese food is hard to come by and while it's not perfect it's a warm welcome for me. I will absolutely be coming back here whenever I crave dumplings and/or noodles again. read more

Found this on Yelp after my kid requested dumplings for dinner. We were not disappointed! This is a little spot in a run down strip center, but don't let that turn you off. We were greeted by a very attentive server who asked if it was our first time there. He explained they're a Chinese restaurant specializing in dumplings and bao. He made recommendations based on my child's age (regular dumplings, not soup dumplings) and they even brought her a child's plate and utensils. They hand make the dumplings and bao there, and there is a window into the kitchen if you're interested in having a look. We had the steamed pork dumplings, chicken fried rice, and crispy cheese puffs and everything was great. We ate the leftovers today for lunch and they were just as good. We also had the red bean bao for dessert, and while my kid enjoyed the piggy theme, she didn't care for what she thought was chocolate. I liked them though! Very pleasant experience at Noodle Kitchen. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and sat down immediately. There was only one person working, and she was very friendly. Took our order, and without waiting too long our food came out. We ordered the crispy spicy fish, (which is a must at Sichuan restaurants) and green beans (which is also a must). We also ordered the pork soup dumplings. First off, I must say I was extremely impressed by the soup dumplings. The flavor was on point, the pork flavor was wonderful without being overwheming which sometimes pork can be, and my oh my were these the juiciest dumplings ever! So much soup in each dumpling, and the skin is thin like proper soup dumplings should be and to my surprise, they held up pretty well! No soup was lost due to the breaking of the dumpling (a tragic end to many soup dumplings) Soup dumplings can be incredibly hard to make right, and to my shock these might be up there on the list. A must try. The green beans were good, flavored nicely. The spicy crispy fish also had that beautiful orange color, and great flavor, perfect amount of Sichuan to give the tingly numbness that you can expect from the peppers but not enough to make you not enjoy the dish. All I would say is that the fish could have been a little crispier, but overall I really enjoyed my meal and would recommend trying this restaurant. I'm not sure if I just came at an odd time, but we were the only ones dining and I hope that more people give this hidden gem a try as food was great and service was excellent. If I lived in the area, you would find me making frequent stops to this restaurant. Give it a try, and also support your local restaurants! read more

I was in the area one day and craving Chinese food, so I stopped in here based off of the good yelp reviews. After looking at the menu, prices seemed a bit on the high side, but many dishes looked to be authentic Sichuan, instead of Americanized Chinese, so that sold me. I ordered braised beef soup, cumin beef, mapo tofu, egg custard buns, tea and a coke. Total came to $61, which is definitely pricy for lunch. - Braised beef soup comes with their hand pulled noodles. Honestly I couldn't tell the difference between these and spaghetti noodles for reference. Beef was tender, broth was okay not the greatest I've had obviously. Noodles didn't taste freshly made. Small bowl, lots of noodles and only 3 small chunks of beef. For the price, you can receive double the size and much tastier, and not to mention more beef at a place I went last weekend in Katy. - Cumin beef, pretty tasty dish, avg price for the portion, but you better like onions because this dish has about 70% onions and 30% beef slices. - Mapo tofu, dish was good as it was sitting in a bowl of chili oil so it may be considered spicy to some customers. I chose the version with diced pork. - Custard buns, they give you 5 for $7. These are pretty standard and a little better than the ones you can find at the grocery store. Do not order iced tea here, since they charge $3 for tea but if you order a coke it's only $2. There is no sweet tea, similar to other asian restaurants, you have to add sugar packets yourself and they only provide a couple packets when you ask. Wow! We heard about this place via the FB group for my SIL's neighborhood group, so on my visit to the Spring/Tomball area we decided to go give this new place a try. It was amazing. We tried so many different dishes, and I'm ashamed to admit, I'm going to mess up the names of what we tried, I'm back in Fort Worth, and I forgot to do this after we waddled to the car! So the Soup Bao was a must have, I can't stop thinking about it, so definitely plan on grabbing an order, don't even hesitate! Oh, and the three flavor dumplings were outstanding, I BELIEVE that was the name, but you will see something to that affect on the menu, if you like dumplings, you will be happy for sure. My SIL got a beef noodle soup, and the flavors were complex, bright and everyone of her senses was delighted. I ordered a beef mixed noodle dish and the server was so sweet, we told her we wanted to share, and she made sure we had extra plates! One more thing, my sister In law ordered a dish with duck, it looked like a bun, and was stuffed with duck, DELICIOUS. We heard of Noodle Kitchen from one of our FB groups and their experience. Well we love Asian food and finding one with as authentic food as was described outside of Asia Town.... SIGN US UP!!!! They've only been open for a week or so but that being said they worked their butts off to take care of everyone as fast as possible. As we were waiting for our orders to come others were finishing up and heading out as new customers were filing in. Well as everyone else in any industry is experiencing, they are still looking for staff. That being said a couple of ladies from tables that had been there and either werer waiting for their entrees to arrive or had just finished up got up and helped the one and a half girls (I say half because one was running front and back of house and they were both moving as fast as possible) bus tables because we have all been in that spot which needed a little help. Things like that gives me hope for humanity still.... but on with dinner review. Our order starts to arrive. Beginning with Crispy Scallion Pancakes.... Yes they are delicious! The picture I took was a little late so half the order was gone cause we dove in so quickly. Following those was the Mongolian Beef which we ordered with hand made noodles. I must say it was the best Mongolian Beef I have ever had. I'm not ishing you it was amazing, I've never tasted it like that. And I swear the hand made noodles was one continuous noodle which was AMAZING!!!! Out as we were devouring the other items were the Siu Mai and Colorful Combo dumplings. All I can say... Perfect! We also ordered Dry Fried Green Beans which I've never had before but my wife couldn't wait to order them. As we started eating these as soon as they hit the table, we couldn't eat them fast enough. So much flavor and such a clean flavor of green beans. Last to the table Cha Siu Bao. So soft and sweet with the bbq pork flavor. Definitely a way to wrap up all we ordered. Needless to say we will definitely be back to try many other dishes. The food is AWESOME! The service is really bad! We showed up about 7pm. Waited til 7:30 or so to be seated. By that time we knew what we wanted to order. Our server possibly "forgot" to put in our order. She told us an order of tea would take 10-15 mins (something about the water steaming which ended up being that the steamer was broken) we waited close to 40 minutes for tea and even longer for our food...almost an hour or more? I just remember seeing several tables that arrived after us getting their food. We conversed as we patiently waited but at this point it was 8:30...we were pretty hungry. I had tied myself over with an order of shrimp dumplings they brought as an appetizer. I ordered the Mapo Tofu which was honestly delicious. The pan fried dumplings were good too but the Fried Spicy Cubed Chicken my friend ordered was way too spicy for her. The plate was full of peppers. I ended up taking it home. I ordered some white rice to take with the other dish since the rice servings were so small and waited another 25 minutes for the rice to arrive. At that point we were so ready to go. They were just about to close when we left but kept circling our table to see if we needed anything after the rush. Emma saved the day. She wasn't our server but she kept checking on our order, checking on my to-go order, and rice order to go. I spent $75 on 3 dishes, 1 dumpling dish, and 2 teas. The noodles had the perfect bite and all the veggies were very fresh and crisp. We were given complimentary hot & sour soup for their grand opening week. This is a small husband and wife team. The wife served us, was very welcoming and interested in our opinion of the food. I can tell she has a lot of love for her restaurant & her customers. Absolutely perfect. Everything is made to order, couldn't be fresher! The flavors were spot on. We ended up eating the BBQ pork bao, the red bean bao, crab soup dumplings, and the crispy cheese wantons (like crab rangoon...made by hand right then and fried perfectly). HOLY MOLY. Everything was stellar but the true star of the show were those crab soup dumplings! The soup was fragrant, smooth, flavorful broth with a dollop of meat. SO FREAKING YUMMY. They were packed, with tons of people waiting to be seated. Seriously the wait for just couples was long but I promise you it's worth the wait. I was pleasantly surprised by this spot. Let me preface this review and say that I LOVE CHINESE FOOD! I'm from Chicago where we have an amazing Chinatown and my dad would regularly bring home the most delicious food after work, so I'm biased and Texas in 5 years has not delivered anything close to what I had grown to love... BUT Noodle Kitchen is legit! I didn't go crazy because I was nervous (had a lot of really bad food) so we got the Chicken and broccoli with clear/white sauce, chicken soup dumplings, and braised beef noodles. EVERYTHING was delicious and we got it to go. The dumplings were so d@3m good that I wish I'd ordered more and can't wait to try the potstickers tomorrow (not even kidding). The chicken and broccoli needed no soy and was so savory. It was the slightest bit heavy on the ginger but didn't overpower the dish. Their noodles are delicious- bouncy and flavorful, soups are one of the best, and their dumplings & baos.. omg words can't describe. Everything here is so flavorful and seasoned well. Their chili oil isn't terribly spicy but almost has a Smokey flavor which I really enjoy. We have not tried their desserts. The service & staff are friendly and very attentive.
