Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings
Faith K.

We ordered the soup dumplings, braised beef noodle soup, crispy spicy fish fillet, and the hot oil spill noodles. The food was all really delicious. The server was really sweet and the food came out quick. The ambiance was very Chinese themed. The soup dumplings were piping hot and had a hole in the top to drink the soup from. The crispy spicy fish fillet was crispy and came with a side of rice. The hot oil spill noodles had great texture, and the sauce was delicious. The beef noodle soup was one of the best I've ever had, the broth had such a deep flavor and the noodles were perfect texture. It also came with extremely tender beef. Overall, I had a great experience. I'd recommend it if you are in the area.

Sooooooo delicious!! I was craving red bean buns and stumbled on this hole in the wall! A hidden gem in truth! Every dumpling and bun was absolutely delicious and just thinking about it is making me crave this place again! Wonderful staff and I love the window to see the process on making it!

Came here with my family for lunch around noon om a Sunday. We were the only table there and more tables were coming in by the time we left and to go orders. My sister ordered the beef noodle and pork soup dumplings. She said everything was really good. I don't eat pork, but I tried her soup and the broth and beef were amazing. I ordered the spicy shrimp and I rate it a 9/10. My son liked his chicken fried rice. I had to order a regular entree because that do not have a kid menu. The only reason why it wasn't a 5 is because the service was slow. There was only one person on all tables. Will Def be back to try other menu items.

general tsos tofu

delicious hidden gem in Spring with an abundance of vegetarian options! i ordered the general tsos tofu with noodles (instead of rice) and it was delicious! the general tsos sauce was different from any other i've had- its tangy but still delicious and you can tell everything is hand crafted. the noodles are very bouncy and delicious. the portions are generous. this is definitely worth the drive. my favorite way to end the meal is with the chocolate baos- they are flaky on the outside, but soft, warm, and gooey on the inside. there is plenty of parking. the inside is very clean and inviting.

A MUST TRY - foodie heaven. This place is deliciously authentic. We had dinner here tonight and we are already looking forward to returning. Their dumplings and noodles are made in-house. We shared our dishes family-style and with the generous portions, we still had plenty of leftovers. The sweet tea was also tasty. There is plenty of parking and it is very clean. We also had the chicken fried rice - so good! This place is a gem!

I loved the soup dumplings and they had a number of different flavors. They also had a number of different hand stuff dumplings. We got the 3 flavor combo, veggie, pork and chicken. They were tasty. The wantons in the soup were good, but I found that the broth had a heavy seafood flavor. Everything came out relatively fast. And it was really affordable. I would love to try this as take out to see how it stands up to the traveling down the road.

I loved this place! My Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious with thick noodles and a creamy broth. My Friends Ramen was good but in his words "no flavor just spice" . We had a nice waitress who was trying her best to accommodate us while also being a hostess and dealing with to go orders. Very nice people and small place so it doesnt feel crowded. (Yes, we had a lot of fun playing with our food) the Red bean bao made us giggle and happy, they came out the kitchen but I took them home in my tummy :)

Small unassuming place. The food is tasty, the service is quick and friendly. The Xiao Long Bao is very good, The Beef mixed noodle was surprisingly good. Our favorite is the Pork Mapo Tofu. Even the Cha Siu Bao and Fried Dumplings are good. This is a good place to eat and you don't have to go to bellaire or chinatown.

Yummy authentic dumplings! I love how meaty and filled they were! The xiao long bao were so soupy, and the pan fried dumplings were so crispy. The server was also so sweet!

Crispy Peking Duck Bao

My girlfriend invited me to lunch and I asked her to choose the place since she had an appointment at 3pm. She stumbled upon Noodle Kitchen while doing some research. I must say, this place is a hidden gem. I'm so glad she found Noodle Kitchen, it's so close to my home. If you are looking for typically Chinese food, like orange chicken and general tso chicken, I believe you are looking at the wrong place. Although they have those dishes here, they offer so much more! Plumped Xiao Long Bao and Peking duck! I find the xiao long bao were wrapped thinly (just how I like them) and filled with soup. The Peking duck comes in half or whole order and they do not offer the buns, instead they offered the thin pancakes to wrap the Peking duck. Save you a little bit of carbs! The restaurant was quiet with Chinese melodies songs. Clean and quick service. Spoke to the young waiter and he stated they have been open two years. This place is authentic Chinese cuisine! I definitely come back, especially for more XLB!

What we could not eat ... just was not good :-(

So, picture this: It's a wild Saturday night, and after surviving what can only be described as an action-packed afternoon, the fam and I decided to embark on a culinary adventure. The mission? Chinese takeout from an uncharted restaurant territory, a place where no noodle has gone before in our household. Spoiler alert: Maybe we should've asked for recommendations or consulted a fortune cookie, because what unfolded was a culinary catastrophe of epic proportions! Now, let me preface this by saying, "With all due respect, Noodle Kitchen, this was NOT the noodle party we were expecting." We ordered an ensemble cast featuring Long Bao Dumplings (Pork), Beef Fried Noodle, Soup Dumplings, and Orange Chicken. But alas, it was a performance that left us with more disappointment than a failed magic trick. The Orange Chicken tried its best to salvage the evening, earning the title of "best of the bunch" by default. However, even this noble dish couldn't escape the clutches of culinary chaos. The crispy bits were staging a mutiny, abandoning ship faster than you can say "chopsticks," and the chicken pieces had a peculiar chewiness that left us questioning if we were dining on poultry or some mysterious hybrid. The meat was so white that the jury's still out on whether it was real chicken breast or a clever disguise of minced-up poultry with a breadcrumb coating. Oh, and did I mention the unexpected hickory-flavored encore? Because apparently, our Orange Chicken decided to put on a smoky show on the backend. A taste adventure, to say the least, scoring a 3.8 out of 5 on the "What did I just eat?" scale. Now, let's talk about the Beef Fried Noodle, or as I like to call it, the BFN - Big Food Nope. One bite into this dish, and it felt like I was chewing on culinary disappointment. It's as if the chef got carried away with the seasoning, sprinkling it on like confetti at the end and forgetting to let it mingle with the rest of the ingredients. Gritty, dry, and a beef cameo that was as bland as a high school graduation speech - not my idea of a flavor party. The Bao Dumplings and I decided to keep a safe distance from each other, judging by the fam's reaction. I mean, if a picture is worth a thousand words, their expressions were a Shakespearean tragedy. In conclusion, Noodle Kitchen, you've earned a one-way ticket to the "DO NOT EAT" list for 2024. May your culinary adventures be more delightful than mine. STAY FED, my friends! We know food! Cumin Beef
Jacquelyn C.

Food here is good, although service is a bit lackluster. There's only one waiter and he does not understand much English--but you can get by with pointing. We ordered the pork xiao long bao which was super juicy and came out hot. They did not have soup spoons though, so we were struggling a bit to eat it. The spicy lan zhou beef noodle was not anything great and seemed to be missing some flavors. The cumin beef was super yummy and had lots of flavor. The beef was tender and the portion size was large. My favorite was definitely the lamb mixed noodle. It was an interesting combination of sweet, savory, and tomatoey but I loved it. Definitely the best dish we ordered.

Do they offer Lunch specials?

Their prices are quite reasonable. Generous portions. I just looked at the Menu. No “ Lunch Specials” meaning reduced price. Terrific Service. Very attentive waitstaff. Huge selection of very good Chinese food. Give it a GO!

Do they serve Dims sum?

They have a few dumplings that you would find at dim sum but they do nit have a full Dim Sum menu.

When does this place open?

It's opened already. We went tonight. 7-28-22

While the service at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is friendly the food itself is not fairly average. We ordered the Triple delight and eggrolls to share as we tend to order too much food when trying a new spot -- a major disappointment absolutely no taste, meat, rice bland. if you are looking for authentic flavor profiles, distinct savory sauces, or consistent spice levels, this is just standard, run-of-the-mill takeout quality. It is not decent for a quick, budget-friendly lunch special, but it is certainly not the best in town. Don't let the parking lot fool you as it was full but definitely not patrons of this restaurant.

It was all AMAZINGGGG The small rice is way bigger than we expected, so glad we only got 2. The hot honey chicken was my fave with the crispy beef being a close second. The first time, I simply made do with what I received. This time, I contacted the company because several items were incorrect. The gentleman who initially answered the phone was sweet as pie and tried to assist, but unfortunately, he didn't have a resolution for my issue. Shortly after we hung up, I received a call from someone who stated that he was the owner. He was initially very apologetic, and I sent him pictures showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. He explained that DoorDash posts the pictures of the food, not his company. He offered to refund me for two items, but I explained that I still wasn't satisfied because the one item I did receive was room temperature at best. At that point, the entire order was essentially a loss. When I asked for a full refund, I was told that I needed to return the food. I explained that the food had already been delivered, so I wasn't sure how I was expected to return it. That's when the conversation completely changed. The owner accused me of trying to get money from his company, said I was manipulating them, continued making disrespectful comments, and ultimately hung up in my face. That part bothered me more than the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. Food gets mixed up. Orders can be prepared incorrectly. I can understand all of that. What I don't understand is making a customer feel as though they are dishonest or trying to take advantage of your business simply because they are asking for a resolution to a problem. At the end of the day, my family still didn't have dinner, I paid for an order that was not properly fulfilled, and the biggest concern seemed to be defending the business rather than providing customer service. I genuinely wish the outcome had been different because I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But customer service matters especially when something goes wrong. How you handle the mistake can leave a much bigger impression than the mistake itself.

Unfortunately, I shouldn't have ignored the average reviews, as this is what it turned out to be. I had lunch at Bambi House this last Friday for the first time. I was disappointed for a couple of reasons: my Orange chicken was basically mostly tempura and very thin slices of chicken. I had purchased the orange chicken, which was $9.85, with egg fried rice. The chicken was average in flavor, but as I mentioned before, the chicken was in thin slices; therefore, I mostly had tempura drowned in the orange chicken sauce. The fried rice was bland in flavor. Honestly, I agree: half and the re w the rest away. Admittedly, all of the 5-star reviews I read praised the duck, so perhaps that's what they're really good at. Unfortunately, I will probably never be back, because thin slices of chicken don't meet my expectations.
