The place is very small. Every time i came, there were not alot of people dinning, so the lack of space was not an issue. Bread service is not complentary. When I think of authentic Italian, I think of seasonal, comforting, flavorful meals. I DID NOT taste anything of the sort while visiting here or ordering take out. Every dish that I have tasted was bland and disappointing. Presentation is nice and pasta is freshly made. Italian is actually one of my favorite cuisines. However, if this was my first introduction to Italian food, I would probably never eat it again. After all, this is Atlanta and there are a melting pot of cutures, which gives Atlanta natives and visitors a variety of restaurant selections (e.g different cuisine options, and better Italian options). The wine is good, as is the Gelato (but you do not need to visit this particular restaurant to get those items). Overall, I do NOT recommend.

I came here in July. I did not realize how casual it is. It is a very casual spot next to Willy's and Publix. I was initially seated, but no one acknowledged me for at least 15 mins. The place was packed, but no one even brought me water. The chairs bump into each other from different tables bc it's so cramped so I decided to order to go instead when the waiter finally came. I took my food home and was hopeful bc the Arancini was delicious. The pasta was harder than al dente, and the tomato sauce tasted like something from a grocery store. The tiramisu was a little dry. I will not be back, but other people seemed to really like it.

This is a very cute restaurant you walk in and it feels calm relaxed and peaceful a great place to go for early dinner or Lunch . While the restaurant is small there are a lot of seating options for party of 2/4 including the bar . I ordered to go the Maccheroni Vodka with an add on of Meatball . The order was ready for pick up when I arrived and the cashier was very nice and welcoming . When I arrived home I was excited to dig in because it smelled so good but unfortunately after the first bite I was extremely underwhelmed . It looked wonderful but the pasta was very mushy in texture (I'd probably suggest cooking To-go pasta closer to al dente because with the type of container which is great and keeps the food warm it also has a lot of condensation when I opened the lid creating it to probably cook down more . Sadly the sauce was all but tasteless (while again I acknowledge it can easily be that it probably due to the extra moisture of the container ) I just expected more flavor everything just lacked seasoning even the meatball . The vodka sauce imo was more of a strong tomato sauce in flavor than the creamy lifted taste I'm use to in a vodka sauce and the meatball lacked seasoning. While I'm definitely open to trying other things on the menu it will probably be better to try it Dining in rather than ordering to - go.

Service was perfect, one server taking good care of everyone. She let us switch out pastas, diavolo sauce was great, pesto spaghetti with green beans and potatoes. too, meatballs better than most. The Sicilian red was delicious. All the pastas are homemade. A find!

So this is a nice and small little eatery kind of situation. It's not a overly large chain, it's actually located in a strip mall so we only have so much space to work with. But it's still solid though. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If it's nice outside, I would suggest definitely sitting out while you dying. It's in an area that has a lot of businesses so you may come across the business crowd if you aren't going for lunch. But it's shopping center area and a street parking. So just keep that in mind too. You'll walk in and you can sit at the table bar area, which is only about four seats, or I'll grab one of us for the smaller tables. Since it's so small they don't really have a whole full staff, so the person who takes your order will probably be the person that serves your food as well. Last time I was there a lady who served us, wish I remember her name, but she was super nice. She explained the menu in great detail and gave her thoughts on the favorites and helped me customize my meal. Polpette - So the meatballs were good. There were about five of them and the ricotta cheese was at the bottom and everything was covered in sauce. Collectively. It had a really good flavor. She offered bread, so I used the bread to sop up some of the sauce as well because no flavor should be wasted. But the meatballs by themselves sounded really good flavor. Also to note, if they offer bread, the bread is not free. You know how some places will give you complimentary bread, no, this is bread service that you're getting. It'll come and a small loaf cut into pieces and come with oil. The bread is very hard and crisp on the outside but very flaky on the inside. Caesar salad - The Caesar salad was pretty good. Nothing special, probably wouldn't get it again honestly, but it was okay. Some of the lettuce wasn't as fresh that I thought it should have been but they had a lot of croutons and a lot of cheese so I guess it balanced out. It didn't have a lot of dressing on there so if you want dressing, you may have to ask for more or extra. Spaghetti fra Diavolo - now this was the star of the show for me. It was full of shrimp, and I can appreciate that. You know how some places will give you four shrimp for the meal. You just got to cut it into pieces, no I got at least ate shrimp in my dish. It was good, but it was supposed to be spicy. I asked her can I pick it up a little bit and she made it more spicy when she brought it to the table. And man let me tell you you can smell the spice when she put the plate down LOL. But it was good and it had a nice amount of pasta, sauce, and shrimp. Very good balance. Overall, it's a pretty cool spot. There are a couple of the things that I wanted to try, so I will probably stop by for lunch on another day!

Close your eyes and you're in a cozy Manhattan neighborhood Italian eatery. Service was excellent, food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Highly recommend and we'll be back again soon.

Came in for lunch over the weekend and was blown away by all the delicious dishes we tried! My 6 year old loved the meatballs and the lasagna (so did I) and I had the chicken ravioli and caprese salad! I can't remember the name of them but the fried Mac and cheese balls are amazing and a great snack to share amongst the table. Great spot and can't wait to come back to try more of their food and desserts!

We had been back from a 3 week trip in Italy a few months and were craving an authentic Italian experience. Nonna Dora was just that. The atmosphere was small and cute but operated similar to places we had been in Rome and Florence. The staff were all amazing, very prompt and helpful. We had a glass of red and a Lemonchello Spritz with Cacio & Pepe fritters (amazing!!) and arancini (good but basic). For mains we had Chicken Ravioli in Crema sauce (packed with flavor in each little bite) and the Ragu. The Ragu tasted exactly like the many times we had throughout Italy. We will be back everything was delizioso!

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

I opted for the blackberry fiz mocktail, which was super sweet at first, but with a good mix, it was super refreshing. For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

Finally got around to trying this place after it was recommended to me multiple times since 2021. I…read moredon't know why it took me so long to this place is worth it. The service was 10/10. The ambiance is cute. The bread service is some of the best I've ever had. And the cocktails are fire. Had the lemon chicken at the advice of our waitress and it was incredible. The pasta was great. Cesar salad solid. Wine list strong. Can't say enough.

I was wondering why so many people had either recently left poor reviews or had downgraded their…read moreprevious reviews, and after my most recent visit I unfortunately understand why. Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
