What I ordered: - oat latte…read more- drip coffee - crinkle cookie - butter croissant highlights: I was very pleasantly surprised with their oat latte. It's very light, slightly acrid, and highly recommend because it didn't leave me feeling heavy in my stomach unlike some oat lattes do. I loved the croissant. It was crispy on the outside (but not crunchy), soft on the inside, with a lovely butter flavour. (Pro tip) dip your butter croissant in the last 1/4 of your latte iykyk study/work space: 4.5/5 They have seating space in the back which was bright and clean. The atmosphere is relatively quiet and super pleasant. Truth be told, I completely forgot that I was on such a busy street! Signature flaky pastry with a vibrant center of whipped matcha cream layered over tangy strawberry jam, finished with a fresh strawberry and matcha dusting. Dough was very crispy outside just like they described signature flaky pastry. And whipped matcha cream had strong matcha flavor, very creamy and not overly sweet. So, it paired with strawberry jam so well. Strawberry jam had well-balanced tangy and sweet flavors, I really liked it. I highly recommend this item! Service was very good and friendly

Best Cheesecake in Vancouver is such an impossibly high reputation to live up to, especially when…read morebestowed upon oneself. In fact, touting one's own cheesecakes as the best in Vancouver is pretty much setting your customers up for disappointment (even if it were the best cheesecake in the city, which....I hope for Vancouver's sake it is not). Personally a fan of the underpromise overdeliver approach, but this review is not about the cheesecake. It's about the amazing service I received from Aaron on the phone and in person. Aaron is super friendly and went out of his way to help me obtain a forgotten receipt, which I very much appreciate. Quick, actually helpful, and looks like he is enjoying his job--these are the people who will make a shop successful and will most likely be successful in their own lives as well. Stars for Aaron! Incidentally I did try the key lime cheesecake and chocolate raspberry (I think that's what it was), and both were fine. Was expecting more from 'Vancouver's best cheesecake', especially in relation to the crust which I found too thin and flavourless. Tea was great though, and they've got very attractive, double-walled to-go cups!

I haven't been to a Trees location in years so glad to see they are just as good as they were before! Cafe at this location was spacious but half the cafe was super warm so luckily it wasn't too busy and we were able to grab a table on the cooler side of the cafe

This place is convenient coming from Kitsilano Beach. I parked nearby, although there is a parking…read morespace available for customers. I'm a routine customer of the one on Main and 13th. It's my first time here. It's busy. Lots of seats. They have a glass covered patio, which is a nice extension. I ordered a double shot of ice espresso. It was a warm day but needed caffeine. I like they have lots of choices of sweets and donuts and their portions are big. The tables are small though, and a bit cramped inside, unlike what I'm used to at Main St. There's also minimal wall outlets for laptops or phone charging. So make sure you have your devices charged before coming here to work or study. Outside it's walking distance from other stores snd restaurants. It's a nice commercial neighborhood. I recommend visiting it after going to the beach down the hill.

I am writing this review because my email to them went unanswered…read more I am shocked and disappointed at the way I was treated after spending $40. I am a HUGE 49th fan and love their dougnuts and coffee. Whenever I have friends in town, or someone needs a suggestion on where to visit, I always say "49th has really good coffee and doughnuts". Unfortunately, my mind has changed, and I don't see myself ever recommending this location. As an avid coffee drinker, I am pretty picky on where I choose to have coffee and love the cafe culture in Vancouver. My mom loves doughnuts and we had come all the way from Langley for a day in Kits, so I recommended we go to 49th! I spent about $40 on 4 doughnuts, 2 maple sea salt lattes and a drip coffee. The maple sea salt lattes looked beautiful and my doughnut was delicious as usual (big fan of the french crueller). Unfortunately, our maple sea salt lattes were very very strong and had no maple or sea salt flavoring in my opinion. I decided to ask the girl at the register if we could please get a different drink because it was super strong and didn't taste good. I was met with SO much attitude, i was actually shocked. I went into it very friendly and politely asked for an alternate drink as i did spend $12 on these two drinks (and life gets expensive!!). She then goes "well, you probably don't like the taste of coffee then".... I actually didn't know how to respond. But i did say "I'm a huge 49th fan and love coffee!". Then I had asked how many shots are in the small and she said "2". I then had asked if we could get a new/different drink and she goes "I'll give it to you this one time, but next time you'll have to pay." This is NOT the way to treat a paying customer. It felt so rude and accusatory. I very rarely come to Kits, so she wouldn't have recognized me and am an honest girl who works hard for my money. When the customer comes up politely, you offer to make it right. I hope the next person that comes up not satisfied with their drink is treated a lot better than how I was.
