I went here twice in one day! We ate breakfast here in the morning, and closed it down with the wine bar at night! My pastry in the morning was amazing-very savory, and the berry muffin was moist and flaky. I had the most fun being there on Friday night. The place turned from a cute cafe into a fun, lively, wine bar. There was music and dessert. I got the special, which was a molten lava cake. Delicious! His dessert was a mousse, which was also good. We split a bottle of red wine, which was amazing. This was one of the most fun places in Eugene! read more

My two friends and I had planned the night before to get together the following morning and meet for pastries so we decided to try Noisette. We carpooled to downtown from Santa Clara area, parked and fed the meter. We walked in and were greeted, although I see that's been a common complaint from other Yelpers. We had been excited to try some pastries and coffee together before doing some shopping about town. The problem was we immediately noticed half of the pastries were sitting out, uncovered and had many flies buzzing about, sitting all over the pastries. That was a huge turn off and we decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. Really didn't want to eat pastries that had had flies crawling all over them. The problem could be remedied by installing another display case on which to store them. It seems very unsanitary to leave the food out in the open and uncovered. We all 3 were grossed out without even having had the full discussion about it yet. Disappointed we weren't able to give this place a try! read more

Noisette is a triple threat. Killer baked goods, awesome coffee and the best service. The staff at Noisette is stellar and has always taken care of me. I've seriously never had a brioche or muffin that can rival Noisette's. This is a must for anyone visiting Eugene. And for anyone living in Eugene, this needs to be part of your new morning routine. read more

Tried the brownie (made with almond flour) and it was really good. I would definitely eat here again. Their other treats also looked really tasty. read more

Pros: Good variety of pastry made in house in kitchen behind register. I don't like dessert that is too sweet or heavy. Tried their Hazelnut Grand Manier Tart, just the right sweetness. Hot chocolate is very good, I believe they make it with cocoa powder, not syrup. Cons: No Wi-fi, no good. Will come often if they have wi-fi. read more

By far the best pastries and breads in the Eugene area. A+. The espresso drinks aren't great, though, but that's more than made up for by the superb quality of the food. read more

Saw a list of local black owned businesses and it got me looking up Noisette. Once I saw the pictures I was convinced I needed to try everything lol. My husband ran and grabbed $40 worth of random deliciousness and OMG, everything from savory hand pies to macaroons, to tarts and muffins.... EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!! Even something as simple as a BlackBerry brown butter muffin was life changing. It's a bit pricey but it's absolutely worth the quality. I'm hooked and I'm sure between myself, my husband, and 2 kids, we'll be back often! read more

Stopped in for a latte after work, and it was quite nice. This place may be known for their pastries, but they make good espresso. They have pastry items in a case, both cold and room temp. Plus sandwiches and soups and breads. Service is always friendly and the food is spectacular. One side note: the air vents make this place kinda loud. Cons: takes away that wonderful bakery smell. Pros: drowns out other peoples conversations. Overall, wonderful spot. read more

It's really really really good. Nice food, service, and atmosphere. My only critique is that the espresso drinks are somewhat mediocre, but the pastries are just so good that I wouldn't dare dock a star read more

Terrible customer service. I tried to go again because it's located so close to my work but have continued to feel very unwelcome. I also found hair in the food last time ! read more

Definitely the best place for ordering really exquisite holiday pies. Any time I'm downtown in the morning I make sure to stop in just to treat myself with something from the case. Their lemon bars are amazing! Their cute little eclairs are amazing! Everything is amazing! Follow their Facebook for special holiday ordering announcements. Got my Thanksgiving pies there this year, and WOW it was worth it! read more

Well, maybe it was the time of day. I got to Noisette at around 4:00pm. I got excited about the lox on a bagel sign, but there was no display model, as it turned out they were out for the day. It happens. Totally understand. The nice lady behind the counter surreptitiously removes the sign whilst I continue to peruse. She asks if I want sweet or savory (lox might have been a clue, but...) "SAVORY!" I replied enthusiastically. She asked if I was a member of the Eugene Foodies; my wife follows them on Facebook, and they've not led us astray yet, so I said yes. She says they voted the lamb sandwich the #1 sandwich in town. Well, a great sandwich is tough to find in Eugene, so I said "OK!" So she takes the display model and wraps it up for me. It was to go, so I paid my $8.75 and headed out the door. Three minutes later I get to my eating destination down the block, open that white paper and take my first bite...or tried. See, toasted bread that's been sitting on display since, I dunno, 10:30am would be my guess, it gets real hard. Like bleeding gums hard. The bread is more manageable toward the middle, but the inch-wide onion slices and tomato-halves are ejected with each bite. I'm sure it's very tasty when made fresh, but as a presumably hours old display sandwich, it was nearly inedible. Sorry Noisette. Your coffee is good, but I've had better sandwiches at Starbucks. And that is not a compliment to Starbucks.... A one star sando. Star #2 is purely for the lady who was at least being nice about selling me this savory grillmarked brick. PS- the flavor and aroma of the hours-later burps do hint at the potential for something great. Let me know when Noisette starts serving it fresh. read more

The cream cheese brioche is to die for! I usually order a mocha to go along with it-not too sweet. I enjoy sitting outside in warmer weather just like a Paris cafe' (I assume). 2 weeks ago I ordered a cake for my birthday. We will be back. I had the coconut cream tart, a strawberry and a lemon macaroon that were all delicious. The coffee itself was disappointingly in an airpot and tasted old, I expected a bolder more flavorful taste. They had live music; a violinist, which was nice but a bit loud making it difficult to hold a conversation. read more

Visited Eugene and came across this place while exploring on a rented street bike. Well I had seen it before online but was delighted to pass it. Not disappointed. They are handling covid very well and their pastries are fresh and delicious. I had a chicken handpie and a tart and got macaroons for my daughter. All very well worth the trip read more

Noisette did a great job on my grandchildren's birthday gifts. The first was the decorated cupcakes, and the next was a small birthday cake, beautifully decorated. I am from out of state so I needed it delivered, and for a small charge, they delivered it within Eugene. Overall, I am very happy with their cakes and service. I will use them again and recommend them. read more

Not sure this is the premiere spot in town for desserts and pastries but it was very good. Not a place id love to sit around for a long while, small tables amd chairs but its good for takeout dessert. They also have an array of savory pastries that looked like good lunch options. read more

AMAZING. BIRTHDAY. CAKE. Do yourself a favor and pick up one of these babies for the next time you feel the need to celebrate ANYTHING with a cake. For my recent b-day, my office mates asked if I wanted them to bring in a cake to share at work. I mentioned hearing good things about Noisette cakes and they obliged my request and called to order a small (6") coconut cake. The cake was exactly as described, "Yellow cake infused with a light touch of rum, layered with vanilla buttercream and coconut flakes", decorated beautifully and completely delicious. Everyone who sampled thought it tasted great, and said things like "I would definitely order another cake from them" or remarked how good the buttercream tasted, etc... For non-coconut fans, check the website for other cake flavor options. The Hazelnut, Rum, Gingerbread or Black and White sound intriguing. To have a 3 layer cake of this quality for only $20 is an amazing deal, in my opinion. Such a good deal that the next time I have an extra $20 to spend, I may have to order another cake to celebrate... I don't know...but I'll find a reason. read more

This review is for the chocolate challah bread. My dad came home today with a huge smile on his face. He said he just went to the best bakery and bought a loaf of chocolate challah. When he got to the car he noticed the bread was WARM. and tried a small piece and then promptly ate half of the loaf. Luckily he restrained himself enough not to polish it off, because what I had was delicious. Soft challah with melty chocolate chip chunks inside. Nice crust on the outside. Perfect for dessert, just sweet enough without being overpowering. It was amazing cold, I can only imagine how awesome it was hot. My dad might go out later today to buy another loaf! Do yourself a favor and try one too! read more

I would give a negative star if possible. My daughter and I were visiting a friend in Eugene and we are from Portland. We decided to take a walk around town and found this cute little place to get a bite to eat. I chose a mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich on a baguette. It looked awesome however, the bread was so incredibly hard I literally could not eat it. I picked the tomatoes off and some cheese and ate them, but the bread was like a rock. My daughter's friend got a simple brownie. It was so hard and dry, he couldn't eat it either. One bite is all he took. My daughter got the spiced pulled pork sandwich. It was just plain awful. Also, it was room temperature and just sitting behind the counter on a tray, no refrigeration or anything. Surprised about that when we're talking about pork. I took my sandwich to the girl at the counter and told her about the bread and she said it's meant to be that way. I said, inedible?? She just nodded and said sorry. I told her about the brownie too and just got another sorry. About 5 minutes later, she brought a small plate with a few cookies on it to say sorry. The cookies were the only thing I can say were good in my experience. So disappointed. read more

This is my favorite pastry place in Eugene. There are sweet and savory options with everything in between. It's not just a death-by-chocolate place, there is a large variety of options to please anyone's palate. I love splitting a couple different options with whoever I go with. The quality is superb. The coffee is great as well read more

My husband and I were down in Eugene around lunchtime last Sunday and all reviews pointed our way to Noisette. Sadly, I didn't just skip straight to dessert, and instead got the soup, Soup that deserved a singular honor in my book. That honor is the worst soup I have ever been served. It was so bad, we kept laughing all day that someone actually charged us money for it. I should have known when my husband set it in front of me. A bowl of tea colored water with two brown/grey meatballs set in the middle, and vague bits of carrot and chicken surrounding, perhaps six bits total. What? I should have picked it up and walked up to the counter, to say "What? In what world is this Chicken and Dumplings?" I love Chicken and Dumplings, Once I saw it on the soup board, I had to have it. It brings back warm memories of my mom's recipe and while I too have a kick-butt recipe, it is very time consuming, so I was excited to enjoy the love without the effort. Sadly, that tea colored broth tasted like nothing. So basically I was served a bowl of bitter water that not even copious amounts of salt and pepper could rescue. The stingy bits of chicken and carrots were extremely dry and flavorless and the meatball-esque dumplings were dense and chewy and while not terrible, I think they were mostly only good in comparison to the other sad, sad elements of this disaster. I was planning on ordering some of the beautiful look pastry for dessert, but couldn't bring myself to give them more money when they would be wiling to serve something so bad. If you don't know how to make soup, then stick to baking. read more

I've been to Noisette at least a dozen times over the last year. The consistent quality and pleasant, bright atmosphere keeps me coming back. They have regular items daily (like the yummy goat cheese biscuit), but they usually surprise me with a new twist on a brioche or scone or muffin. The roasted lamb sandwich is delicious. Their savory vegetable tart (like quiche but less eggy) is always amazing. The crust is flaky, and the variety of veggies is seasoned perfectly. A few of their regular wait staff aren't overly friendly, but the owner is warm and attentive. Great to have spots like this in Eugene! read more

Always tasty baked goods. And non-traditional ones too like goat cheese biscuit. Excellent quiches for a savory tasty minimalist breakfast. Good coffee, well-made lattes (harder to find then it should be). Open and airy space and free wifi make it a great spot to work. Outside seating on a nice day a bonus. read more

Noisette Pastry Kitchen - Leek tomato kale gruyere feta quiche - who knew? Tasty. Plus a goat cheese biscuit. - Bakeries Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

I always love coming into this shop! The smell of the bakery yum. Seating is a little uncomfortable but great food

Noisette is a little gem that I hope will help revive Eugene's downtown. Their baked goods, like the goat cheese biscuits and milk chocolate tarts, are unexpectedly fabulous! And they know how to make a good London Fog, mmm. My only complaint is that their food selection seems quite limited/random, which seems odd considering the huge size of that kitchen... I'm not sure if it's a place I would sit at for hours either, but I certainly stop by whenever I'm in the area to pick up pastries, coffee, or tea! If only I lived closer!! Edit: They need WiFi! Another reviewer says she's happy this place doesn't have people staring at their screens like at Starbucks, because she prefers to just look at other people in the cafe, but I have news for you honey, some of us actually have jobs! read more

Meh, this place wasn't even close to what I was expecting. After reading all of the good reviews, I was excited to have a hot cup of coffee with some fresh pastries. Despite the somewhat peaceful atmosphere and decor, the service was very rude. The woman seemed annoyed that we were even there. Don't even think about pausing to make a decision- she'll act even more impatient with eye-rolling and grunts. There were flies on the pastries (ick), and the coffee wasn't good. At places like those, I expect a nice, delicious cup of coffee-- not so much. I took a few sips of mine and was done. The scones were also very, very dry. The cheesecake cupcake was good though, and so was the eclair. Overpriced for how small they were though. Love the concept of the whole thing- it has potential- but i won't be going back. read more

I've come to Noisette a couple times in the morning before work. I really like what they've done with this space, it's open and you can see the folks behind the register making pastries. I really like open kitchens because it really shows you have nothing to hide. I've had only their savory pastries, including the sausage brioche, croissants and the goat cheese biscuit. Let's talk about that for a second: Goat cheese in a biscuit. Really stinking good. It was still slightly warm when I got there right at 8am, I wish it had still been piping hot, but it was still fantastic, but I'm a really, really big fan of goat cheese. I wish they opened a little earlier, considering a lot of people have to be at work at 8am, it would be nice if they opened at 7 or 7:30am. I usually get there around 7:50 and have to wait like an addict outside the methadone clinic all twitchy and paranoid. Don't take my biscuit! read more

Amazing pastries! The menu provides lots of bakery choices, from sugary sweet to savory. My husband and I both ordered "hand pies," which were excellent - The crust was buttery and flaky and totally delicious. For dessert, we had creme brûlée (my favorite). The tables are small, with uncomfortable chairs, so this isn't a place I would come if I just wanted to "hang out." However, the outdoor seating area is dog-friendly, which is always a plus for me. The quality of the food outweighs any negative aspects of the dining experience, so I definitely plan to come here again and sample more tasty menu selections. read more

Ermagerd. I love this place! What a wonderful addition to DTE. Admittedly the service was rough in the beginning, but ever since spring I have been very pleased with the attentiveness of the counter staff. My new favorite lunch is the small romaine salad with the sun-dried tomato vinaigrette and a sausage roll. Best $6 lunch in town, for sure. I love their macaroons and meringues too which, at an extra quarter or two, are easy to say 'yes,' to. Gourmet, competitively priced, and a prime location. I had the Salted Caramel Cupcake which was very good. The (what tasted like) whip cream frosted balanced out the richness of the salted caramel center. I did find the prices of the food items too high for my liking. This is when size really does matter... Because I felt that I paid too much for such little rations. The ambiance was fine. I was more excited to exit. Even though it was a larger space, it felt tight and hectic even though it wasn't terribly busy. All and all...I'd go back, but it's not on the top of my list. read more

Chocolate Ganache Heaven. Ok starting with dessert is ok in a Pastry Kitchen. We are all fans of the darkest chocolate but a great ganache is such a fabulously French thing the reason we love France and her desserts. Let Tobi Reign with eclairs or profiteroles or even a cupcake as long as the dark chocolate lasts. Homemade bread is good. Housemade Bread by fine dining chefs who live to do nothing else is as good as it gets. Let there be sandwiches all you want but it all starts with the housemade bread. Great sandwiches great bread.
