I came in here Friday evening with my husband. We had just eaten dinner at Twisted Duck and wanted dessert. We walked in and there was no employee to be found for a solid 5 minutes, and the shelves were pretty bare. But it was late in the evening, so this didn't surprise me. We picked flan and tres leches from the cooler and waited. Which we took to go and ate at home. The woman who cashed us out was warm and kind. The store itself is clean, bright pink in color, and a pretty decent size space. The food... both the flan and tres leches cake were beyond overcooked. It was like chewing on a bouncy ball in terms of texture. My flan also had almost no sauce to go with it. The flan at El Taco across the parking lot is far better. Would I return? Yes, but earlier in the day when they have more selection, and I'll skip the flan, which I can make myself at home, or get from El Taco. There was nothing egregiously wrong with this place, which is why it gets 3 stars. But sadly there wasn't anything fabulous here either, but I want to try again in the hopes I'll be more impressed on the next visit. read more

I stopped in here with my friends a few days ago and it was great. The person working the counter was busy and took a bit to get to us but we didn't mind. We got some baked goods and a couple of pina colada milkshakes. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the milkshakes! They were so fresh tasting and had shredded coconut in them which we enjoyed a lot. The space is big but not busy. There's a cabinet with baked treats on one side and a large menu on the other. No public bathroom that I could see. The prices were extremely reasonable and there was a good amount of selection to choose from. We would definitely go back! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The lady who answered the phone (I presume was the owner) was super rude. I called because I had forgotten what time I had to pick up a cake order I had place. The lady rudely replied with "well I don't who I'm speaking to, so how am I supposed to tell you what time" in a rude tone. She definitely needs to work on her customer service skills because she was definitely not acting like an owner. Very unprofessional! This place is very appealing and clean feeling. They have a few large cases full of pastries, cakes, etc. Major weird thing though is there wasn't prices on anything so I was left guessing how much everything would be . I love the bakery as it is right next to my dance studio and conveniente to get a treat at. I've tried some of their pastries and they were all so good. They aren't very sweet unless they are one with a fruit filling. I've heard their drinks and smoothies are good as well. The space is nice and clean and all the goodies are very affordable. I'm visiting the area and am so picky about Mexican food. I rather make it myself because I can't stand Americanized Mexican food. These nice folks here make their food from scratch and sauces too! They have Mexican sweet bread also known as pan dulce that is made by a local in town. The sweet tacos are a must for fruit loving dessert folks that enjoy spice and tamarindo. I came here for the tres leche and flan! They offer a large variety of baked goods and cooked food. I came on a Sunday afternoon and they were out of regular flan, but the lady helping me told me if I called 3-4 hours ahead, they can always prep it beforehand. I did manage to score a piece of tres leche cake and it was tasty. It didn't blow me away, but satisfied my craving for tres leche. I'll have to be sure to come back for the flan and maybe try a burrito or quesadilla. Service was very friendly and quick! My kids were over the moon about the delicious strawberry tres leches cake, and we plan to get future birthday cakes here. The cookies were buttery and crumbly, the service was friendly and kind, the space was clean and inviting, and we were made to feel very welcome. It's unfortunate that one family had a bad experience here once and seems intent on destroying this small family business. Perhaps the person serving them that day was going through a personal crisis and had a moment of weakness. Perhaps the customers were impatient and had unreasonable expectations. Maybe a bit of both. Never buy a cake here unless you want horrible service from the baker. The very rude customer service made my mom furious. The baker messed up the cake for my dads birthday which was a big bummer because we clearly told the baker what we wanted. We told her she messed up and the result was the baker blowing up at my mom saying that we aren't priority and she has other customers to take care of. Had a grad celebration and ordered tres leche from this joint turns out TERRIBLE " The decorations was so plain and the writing was all crooked then after serving to my guests, the filling I requested and also paid MORE for was not even what I ordered, then top it off the cake tasted like corn bread!!! I called the same day of the party and owner had the balls to tell me she wouldn't credit me unless I brought back her cake(IN WHOLE) Really??? I already served half to our guests...what an unprofessional way to treat your customers but also to keep your business going! I've got alot of mexican family members and have been treating our families parties with tres leche for 15+ yrs so kinda know how it should turn out! I ordered a half sheet tres leches cake my first time. I asked to pick it by 2 and when I got there I had to wait half an hour for them to finish decorating it. However, I chose to give it a second chance and again I was disappointed. Not only did they not go to the front when I arrived but I had to wait for them to bring out my cake twenty minutes later. The cake is really moist and filled with an excessive amount of frosting. The fruit is not fresh. The squiggly lines they drop over the cake makes it look messy.
