Awful service. They will refuse to give you money back if they're not able to properly clean dress shirts. You are guaranteed condescending service and that's about it. I've been other cleaners in NYC for 8 years and they have always been able to remove similar collar stains on my dress shirts and this place tried telling me that it's not possible to clean. read more

I brought a pair of terribly stained suede sneakers to Noble Cleaners. Three other dry cleaners had turned me away and told me they would not even attempt to clean them. I don't blame them - it was a large, very prominent oil stain.. I thought they were doomed. Noble didn't turn me away - they told me it would be $35 and they would do their "best"......I picked them up today, and the sneakers look brand new! would highly recommend, and will definitely return the next time I stain my shoes. read more

If you are ready to drop a lot of money replacing your wardrobe destroyed by a dry cleaner, well, this is place has your name written all over it. If not, STAY AWAY! I was "lucky" enough to have them ruin three practically new dress shirts in the span of 3 months or so. I switched cleaners and began using Noble simply because they are a stone's throw away from my apartment. A few months back I invested in several new dress shirts for work. I began taking them to Noble's to have them pressed. The first shirt to succumb to the destructive ways of these incompetent folks came back with a large tear in the elbow area of my left sleeve. I thought, "What a cheap shirt (not cost-wise mind you). I just bought this thing and it's torn." Perhaps the fabric was defective. Perhaps my washing machine committed this heinous crime. I held the proper services, sadly folded the shirt, dropped it in the garbage and gave it its proper send off. A couple of weeks later, another shirt came back. Again, the unknown killer struck again. My left sleeve was shredded around the elbow. "Oh I see, it must be my stiletto-like elbow that imparted the carnage on the unsuspecting garment." The last time I took my shirts, I explicitly asked them to hand press my shirts as their work was not only sloppy, but they had wrecked two expensive shirts of mine. I got a shoulder shrug and that was about it. I inspected the shirts before handing them over. They looked fine. Nay! They looked pristine. Guess what? You got it. Another gash in my left elbow area of my shirt. I had a figurative mental bowel movement and lost it on the owner of the store. She looked at me, shrugged her shoulders, said it was not their fault. I must have damaged them in my washing machine. If it was not that, it was my stiletto elbows. But it was not them. She did not offer my money back. She did not offer a free cleaning - not that I would ever go back again. She didn't even offer me a free set of collar stays. A lint roller? NOTHING! After arguing with her in circles for about 10 minutes, I suggested the physiologically impossible! I strongly suggested they somehow take the entire store with all it's equipment and shove it where the sun does not shine. In all seriousness, not only were my shirts poorly pressed. But they had been brutalized. I have had to replace my shirts and have since moved on to another cleaner. If you like your clothes and you do not want or cannot waste money constantly buying new garments, I recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

Took a fairly new pair of cotton pants in to have them hemmed. Returned with the seat having small rips where the top of the pockets are sewn. They denied doing anything wrong and proceeded to tell me I didn't see it and its because I put both my hands in my back pockets and pull down?! I love it when people try to tell me how I stand. I switched to this dry cleaner about 10 years ago and find them outstanding. They are meticulous, provide excellent service and the woman who does the tailoring is a true talent. If you bring something for alterations she understands why something isn't fitting properly and makes it perfect. As someone who shops vintage this is particularly helpful. I love them! The only 2 times I've written a review its been only to complain, too bad I know. That's why I thought to give some positive feedback to Noble Cleaners. I brought around 6 or 7 delicate sweaters, wool, cashmere, alpaca etc., to get stitched since I had moths leaving little wholes in them from a past winter and they did a wonderful job! It was hard to see where the stitch was and that's when you know they did a great job. I highly recommend them! read more

Nothing "Noble" about them Totally useless - just brought back a whole bag of my infant's clothes which were completely dirty - apparently folded but not washed at all! Wouldn't even redo them; just smiled stupidly and saying "Baby clothes don't always come clean." But an ENTIRE BAG??? No answer. I told them to give me back the bag I had just brought in, and from now on we go elsewhere. And they know me - I'm the one always bringing in/picking up, and I drop $50 a week in there easily! Useless - incompetent work, incompetent customer service. Go elsewhere. read more

I randomly walked by here with a pair of leather pants when another tailor wouldn't do them. I needed the waist taken in and when I got them back they were PERFECT. Noble Cleaners did an amazing job in only two days and only charged me 30 dollars. I had no idea what I was going to get when I picked them up but they fit like a glove now and I'm so happy. Overpriced and erroneous tailoring. Take everything out of the bag and check it before you leave. Their lack of understanding English has led to multiple incomplete tailoring jobs. They confirm what I show them to do and we agree on a price. Then they only do a portion of the job and tell me it will be more money to do what I initially asked. I gave them a few chances but now I will never go back again. Go anywhere else in the neighborhood. read more

I have taken my grandmother's Irish linen tablecloth to this place for years to have pressed after big holiday celebrations (I wash it myself). Always good service for a reasonable price. But this year after Christmas, when I did the same, I discovered tire track marks on the cloth--folded on the inside so i couldn't see them at a glance--after i picked the cloth up. It looked like a cart had rolled over part of the tablecloth while it was being pressed. I took it back to them, showed the track marks to them and told them I wanted them to re-do it (after I re-washed it), at no additional cost. They grudgingly agreed, while insisting they couldn't possibly have created the tracks on the tablecloth. They accused my babysitter, who had picked it up, of rolling over it with a stroller. But my child is too old for a stroller, and my sitter has been with us for years and is utterly reliable and honest. She says no such thing happened. I washed it and took it back, and when my sitter went to pick it up, the women behind the counter were very nasty to her and, again, accused her of doing the damage. The killer was this: when it came home a second time, I was putting it away and AGAIN found some track marks on it. I spotted the cloth with a damp rag and was able to get the marks off. But i will never again go back to this place. I don't know if they've changed owners or not, but this experience, and particularly how ugly they were to my sitter, means they're not a business i want to deal with. read more

I have had my wardrobe tailored here. Suits, shirts, everything. As with any tailor, you need to be very careful when marking the upcoming adjustments. Don't hesitate to do a couple rounds of incremental changes, and sometimes you need to ask for a correction to something that came back imbalanced. Learn to ask for specific options you like. Expect most pieces to work out fine, with the odd exception. Overall, I think the prices are great, the quality of the work is great, and I've enjoyed building a relationship with the tailor over several years. read more

My $500 coat came back totally ruined. Bleach stains all over it. They claimed that the laundry dry cleaning instructions on the coat were written incorrectly but I read them myself and they are very clear about not using bleach. Noble will not compensate me for ruining my property. I will say, they are very nice people but their offering is terrible and overpriced, to boot. Seems like many people on yelp agree, I wish I had checked here before using them. read more

Very unsatisfied with the service here. My work shirts always come back wrinkled and they never get the stains out of the collars. There's also something weird going on with their press machine which damages the fabric of my shirts. Its too bad because they have such a good location. I miss my old cleaner in Windsor Terrace who would do such a better job. read more
