Nobelhart & Schmutzig is currently the No. 45 best restaurant on The World's 50 Best List, and a Michelin Guide Michelin Star restaurant. The only photos I took during the entire meal, which was a first for me. They have an old school photo ban. You're not allowed to take photos during service. Honestly, it was super relaxing and the food was incredible. An absolute amazing experience.

170+ EUR per person for disgusting experience

Touristic trap, shame of our lovely Berlin, parody on Michelin-style restaurant, the lowest price-to-value experience in my whole life. You should be banned from practice cooking. 1. We've informed about gluten-free preference of my wife. You mentioned that you noticed, but didn't bother even to propose gluten-free bread. 2. This guy, who drinks wine from my bottle... Who is he? Sous-chef? Sommelier? Does he have drinking problems? Have you ever been to any haute cuisine restaurants? Have you ever seen there that a waiter drinks not only after opening the bottle, but also in the middle of the dinner? Does he suspect that the wine became worse in last 20 minutes? And even after cork opening, he must smell, not drink!! 3. But let me go to the most important thing - food. The art of cuisine includes plating, combining sour/sweet/bitter/spicy tastes to build a unique experience. It is also a wonderful play with texture, a combination of soft and crunchy ingredients. Shouldn't I say that both plain out-of-season carrot and under-cooked pumpkin with egg yolk have nothing to do with that? Our whole experience was disgusting. The only question I have - are you ashamed or is it intentional scam? I feel that this review must go to police and not here. It is not only a parody on a restaurant, it is a fraud.

You must eat here. The end. Jk not the end! We sat at the long u-shaped counter and had an incredible experience and by the end of the night my friend and I were best friends with the three groups next to us (a couple and two solo ladies). FUN. The guy in charge has such a fun, sassy attitude. The staff are all friendly and professional. And the food. Yeah, incredible. Something I especially liked was the no photo rule. Also that to start they ask you if you prefer something bitter or sweet to start. Bitter! They gave me the best vermouth I've ever had. There's a beverage pairing but it's the most flexible I've ever seen. It get organic and customized. Not stuffy or set in any way. We did ALL the recommended beverages and it was a fun adventure. People around us were more selective and drank way less. The staff were good at accommodating all the different preferences and personalities. AND the entrance is a unlabeled door with humorous stickers in it. I love that one of the top 50 restaurants in the world has a sticker that says anal on its front door. Perhaps that summarizes the experience in of itself.

We came here after having been turned away by an Indonesian restaurant that was "full for the night". We are so glad that fate brought us here instead of that Indonesian restaurant!! What were we even thinking anyway -- forget the Indonesian food, get the local specialities!! Ordered the schnitzel as well as the meatballs and both were executed perfectly. Schnitzel was hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside -- not overly salty either. Meatballs were juicy and packed with flavor from the minced onions that they had mixed in. The beer (we ordered a Pilsner) was the best that we had tried in all of the Berlin and Dresden restaurants that we visited. I believe it is from some small private brewery affiliated with the restaurant somehow. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, so definitely order the house beer. Super cozy seating (you'll probably be sharing a table with other guests) and packed all night long but amazing vibes and casual comfort food. Would come back if I ever visit Berlin again!

We tried to go to a nearby Greek place but they were full and kind of rude too. We walked over here and the place was empty at 6:30 pm so a bit worried. No need. The draft Pilsner was very excellent and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. We got pork schnitzel and meatballs and it was really very tasty. Would recommend!

The asparagus came with a great butter and breadcrumbs sauce which drizzled on the potatoes was amazing. As silly as it sounds the boiled potatoes were the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked through but not mushy and they kept their shape. Pretzel was excellent as was the pork schnitzel, pounded thin and perfectly fried. We finished with apple strudel with ice cream, which was just ok, maybe a 3 for me. The waitress was quite surly and we had to chase her down to order after sitting there for 15 minutes without anyone coming to the table. That was the only real downside, though I noticed other tables were getting served quickly, so maybe it's a one-off thing only. Restaurant is quite big with lots of seating, many beer options and nice clean bathrooms downstairs as well.

Walking in the door gives you the feeling of dining in a Bavarian beer hall where there are plenty of locals enjoying the atmosphere. For us tourists, photos are included for most of the menu selections. I tried their signature dish: knuckle with cabbage and a potato dumpling. Even the half portion was huge! The veal schnitzel and steak entrees were also delicious. My server spoke little English, so knowledge of German would be a plus if dining here. The restaurant seems to be known for their beer and has quite a selection, however, a smaller wine menu is also available. I would definitely recommend making a reservation or coming early. As my friends and I were leaving, the line for entry was out the door.

The first thing I wanted to ensure was that this restaurant accepted Apple Pay. I asked one of the waiters inside if they took Apple Pay, and he looked annoyed. When it was confirmed they took Apple Pay, I said, "Okay, I'd like to dine here then." I was a solo diner, and he said, "Okay, well, sit wherever you want." Once I sat down, I began to peruse the menu. Another waiter came over to take my order and began speaking German to me. I told him that I unfortunately don't speak German, and he got annoyed and kept speaking German. I ended up pointing to the items I wanted to order, but already wasn't feeling great about my experience. I ordered the Pork Vienna Schnitzel, and it was the most disappointing meal I have ever had. To be frank, I've had better Vienna Schnitzel in the United States at German-themed restaurants. The breading on the Vienna schnitzel was very puffy and fell off. There was no flavor to the food at all, and it was very bland. I simply ate the food out of sheer hunger, since I hadn't eaten since 7 AM that morning, and it was almost 2 PM by then. I finally paid and left, but I did not feel welcomed in the facility, and the food was a bust. Hopefully, other American tourists have better experiences here than I did.
