The salad they brought out was so fresh and they give 3 different vinaigrette's to choose from. All 3 were very good. We had a beef carpaccio appetizer and the main dish was pork knuckle. It is a place you could bring a date and get a little dressed up for or a place you can dress casually. The staff didn't speak much English but they spoke enough. They also have English menus which made ordering easier. Another fun fact is apparently you receive a draught beer on the house when ordering because they brought me one without ordering and I noticed after that they did the same for others who sat after I did. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and left full. If you are in the area I highly recommend checking this wonderful tasting restaurant out.

When I arrived, I was surprised to find it tucked away at the back of a small shopping plaza. And just my luck--the hostess informed me the kitchen had just closed. As I turned to leave, she came running after me (I suspect the boss gave the nod) and said they'd be happy to serve me anyway. That small act of kindness set the tone for the whole experience. Inside, the restaurant felt warm and cozy, with the kind of unpretentious atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. I ordered the mixed grill platter, which included schnitzel, a meatball, and currywurst, served with potatoes and salad. The beer (we ordered a Pilsner) was the best that we had tried in all of the Berlin and Dresden restaurants that we visited. I believe it is from some small private brewery affiliated with the restaurant somehow. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, so definitely order the house beer. Schnapps offered and refused, One Beer and Two Soups removed from Bill. Staff were not rude, but not really apologetic either- it's just how it is in Berlin. Food was excellent but no communication and ridiculous timescale. Not Exactly cheap either- €54 after starters and a Beer comped.
