Being able to pop into a bakery and find so many delightful gluten free and dairy free treats is absolutely fantastic. No Label is a walk in, take out type bakery with no frills but plenty of tasty treats. I popped in recently and had this amazing gf/df coconut cake with lemon curd that was so moist and the lemon curd was perfectly tart. The snickerdoodle cupcake was cinnamony and perfect with a cup of hot tea. The price for the baked goods are right what I'd expected, and make coming in on a whim easy as pie. I had No Label make my birthday cake a few years ago, too, and enjoyed it! Full cakes can be a bit pricey, but for a cake that fits dietary restrictions on a special occasion, it worked. :) Looking forward to my next visit when I'm in Carmel! read more

Still loving this place! My family continues to order birthday cakes from here, since they're all dairy free. I will note that not all are nut free so if that's a concern, you can email them and they will respond pretty quickly. Also when ordering a cake, do it in advance and give them at least a few days advance notice. It's worth it! I finally got to try their lemon cake this time around and holy cow! You would not guess that it was gluten free and dairy free. The cake is so moist and flavorful. Very strong lemon flavor and I'm in love!!! The roses on top are beautifully done. The cookie dough cake is a family favorite and I honestly feel like they've somehow improved it since it tastes even better than I remember it. Highly recommend. I will also note that all of their cakes that I've tried thus far freeze well, so if you want to buy a big cake and then freeze half of it, go wild! I found No Label At The Table in 2018 and visited for the first time in 6 years. Nothing has changed (in the best possible way)! There are so many things that I love about this bakery. Firstly, the shop has stayed relatively the same since I last saw it. You walk in and see clean counters, blue walls, a baking area, and a case full of sweets. I have never felt rushed by the staff and they are always friendly. Another thing I appreciate is that No Label At The Table employs people on the Autism Spectrum. This bakery also has some of the most clearly labeled items I have come across regarding gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Every baked good in the case has a clearly labeled tag and every take-home good has all ingredients listed. Finally, the sweets are delicious! The sweets are flavorful and have not made me sick once (win!). This is a must-visit bakery if you are visiting the Indianapolis Metro area! read more

By far the best gluten free and dairy free treats I have eaten since switching to a no gluten diet. The oatmeal pie is amazing. The red velvet cupcake is amazing. The english muffins are amazing. The owner is providing a much needed product. I had wanted to visit No Label at the Table ever since I heard about it about a year ago. A bakery that employs people on the autism spectrum? Heck yes! I love this idea and the heart behind the place. Plus, they seem super conscientious about offering quality baked goods for people looking for vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. I preordered a whole vegan apple pie for some people who are vegan, and the pie is beautiful. I haven't actually eaten it (it's not for me, it's a gift), so I'm hoping they enjoy it. But I couldn't just walk out of the store without something to eat, so I ordered a mini cherry pie for myself. There were lots of different baked goods in the display case: mini pies, cookie sandwiches called Oatmeal Dreams, cupcakes and more. All were gluten-free and dairy-free. I'm so glad that gluten-free and dairy-free baked goods exist for people with diets that don't allow them to have those things. But as for me, I think I'll stick with traditional pie. I've learned that gluten and dairy are the two things I love about pie! That said, if you're looking for a place that takes food intolerances seriously, this is your place. My granddaughter has celiac disease. We wanted to celebrate her 6th birthday and get her a delicious cake that she could eat and everyone would enjoy. No Label At The Table did not disappoint. We got 2 delicious cakes. One for her friend's party and one for her family party. She wanted it in the shape of an emoji. I wasn't a fan of the giant cookie (a little dry) but my daughter liked hers. The English muffins were amazing. I'm not supposed to eat a lot of sweets because I'm a post-op bariatric patient, but it's been a year and half so... treat yo self in moderation. I had been looking for an oatmeal cream pie for my husband and heard about their Oatmeal Dream pies. Walking in the shop, it's very clean and the display case has a lot of goodies. The worker asked immediately if I had any allergies when I walked in and I informed her no. All the food is dairy and gluten free AND prepared by individuals on the autism spectrum. That's what got me in the door. My husband is on the spectrum and I'm so glad that this option is available. The Oatmeal Dream pies were amazing. I ate half of one. The cookie part was chewy, very cinnamon-forward, and thick. The icing inside was sweet and fluffy. It was one of the best desserts I've ever had! They were already down to 3 boxes (one dozen) of apple cider donuts. Everyone coming in had preordered them. So of course I had to get a box. Amazing apple cider donuts. I also got a cake pop, oatmeal dream, carrot cake cupcake, and snickerdoodles. Yea, we lost control. I took the donuts to work and everyone loved them. That carrot cake cupcake is one of the best cupcakes I have had. They have so many products. They post their menu on their site each day. The founder, Shelly, was behind the counter when we went. Located on Main Street in Downtown Carmel, this bakery employ people on the autistic spectrum and provide job training skills. How absolutely amazing is that?! It's truly a wonderful place to support. They're also a gluten and dairy free food company with an ever-changing menu. From reading other reviews, I've learned that it's best to order ahead. I personally came in on a Saturday afternoon and there was only oatmeal cream pies left, so I didn't have much to choose from (I'll order online or call ahead next time!). The oatmeal cream pie was amazing though and I would definitely come back for it. Looking at their menu today, it looks like they have donuts, sandwiches, dinner rolls, lemon blueberry muffins, brownies, cereal treats and more. I'll have to try some of that! read more

I turned 40 this summer, and it happened to be a month after I switched to a plant-based, vegan lifestyle. 40 is such a special birthday that I knew I needed the perfect cake. I researched several local spots that offered vegan cakes and gave the list to my hubby and kids and go from there. I definitely put stars next to No Label at the Table, and hoped this is the bakery they'd choose. Why was this important to me? I love everything this bakery stands for, especially their mission; "We are a gluten and dairy free food company whose mission is to employ people on the autistic spectrum and provide job training skills." Let's talk taste... YUM! My kids chose the strawberry lemon cake for me and it tasted as good as it looked. The cake was moist, the icing was sweet... but not too sweet, and it was just beautiful. I even loved the personal touches of the company. When I tagged them in a picture on Instagram, one of the employees commented his name and told me he was the one who had made my cake. No Label at the Table is a dairy and gluten free bakery serving treats like cookies, donuts, muffins and cakes - but it is so much more than that. No Label started as a vendor at the Carmel Farmers' Market just a year ago. The business employs individuals on the autism spectrum, of all ability levels. The owner knew very little of operating a food business, but started No Label so her son could find meaningful employment, as could others. Additionally, they display and sell artwork from Outside the Box, an Indy non-profit that empowers adults with developmental disabilities to find and create meaning in their lives. Oh, and did I mention the treats are delicious? The blueberry muffins specifically are my favorite right now...and, they're priced affordably. I got 5 muffins and one cookie for a total of $10. We do not have allergies but we have many friends who do so finding gluten free and dairy free is awesome! I placed my order online and received a follow up text confirmation with additional questions. They communicated via text until I picked up my delivery. So smooth and easy! I requested 'little boy' cupcakes as my son was asking for a superhero theme so I wanted anything red, Blue, Black, etc. When I picked them up they were proud to tell me they did black and blue, like Star Wars! While Star Wars wasn't our theme, (they didn't have anything Star Wars to them except the colored sprinkles :)) They were so proud of what they've created! I loved it! Love having a dedicated gluten free bakery nearby! Everything here is gluten-free and dairy-free, and several items are free from other common allergens. I love getting the tea breads here. They are a great size and only $4 a piece. The ginger pumpkin, chocolate pumpkin, and vegan chocolate are a few of my faves. Okay, I'll be that guy...you know, the first one to give the place less than 5 stars. I applaud that the place is providing a need for the community and provides dairy free and gluten free products for those who have allergies or have decided they don't want those things in their food. But as a guy who has been eating baked goods for nearly 60 years, I have to admit that the taste of some items came across as kind of funky to me. I bought a chocolate chip cookie and that was crisp and tasted pretty good. I also snapped up a discounted day old lemon cupcake that had a delicious, creamy icing. The cake part was a tad dry, but that was kind of expected since the manager informed me about it being a day old before I made the purchase (hey, a cupcake for a $1 is a good deal!) The peanut butter brownie was the one that I wasn't a fan of. The brownie was very moist and gooey and the topping had large pieces of nut along with the creamier topping. But the flavor just didn't come close to what I imagined in my mind. Maybe it was an off batch, but it was probably more that some ingredients were substituted for those I like. GO HERE! I am so happy that Carmel has an Autism friendly business! Being dairy-free I always struggle to find GOOD baked goods. Most of the time vegan/gluten free/dairy free baked goods aren't anything like the "real" food. NOT THE CASE HERE- I got the banana cupcake with chocolate icing and I was blown away. It tasted just like the real thing, so much so that I actually double checked to make sure it actually was gluten free/ dairy free. Lol. If you've never been in an environment that is suited for those on the spectrum, it's a little different from the typical cafe vibe. The shop is a quiet, still space without lots of distracting clutter on tables and walls. I actually love this, because it's so rare that we encounter stillness and quiet. It was nearly meditative to enjoy my cupcake in peace and quiet. They have paired with a non-profit that uses art therapy with individuals with mental health challenges to decorate their walls and it's all for sale. We loved that! Also, you can pre-order ANYTHING from the website and go pick it up. Which is an awesome feature. read more

This place is wonderful! We found it today while looking for dedicated Gluten Free restaurants. The bakery is ran by a friendly, hard-working mother who's autistic son works there as well, and they only employ individuals on the spectrum. The items were all great. None of the foods tasted any less as gluten free, casein free desserts. The cookie dough chocolate cupcake was especially good. I really like that they have interesting options too, like jalapeño strawberry bread, and the owner said they are coming up with new ideas each week and letting people vote on them on social media. The owner went out of her way to be kind. She realized that our toddler is also on the spectrum, and she invited her to help water plants out front. The workers were perfectly accommodating and not phased by our daughter throwing a tantrum on the floor. They definitely seem supportive of the community.
