I've had them several times over the past few years and they have the best tacos !! I love that they have a whole vegan menu section -- Today I had vegan: al pastor, bistec encebollado, and tinga tacos, all with cilantro, onion & salsa verde. Each taco was full of flavor but they each differed. My favorite is the al pastor just because they really nail the spicy sweetness. It's a beautiful balance of flavors. The bistec has a really meaty/savory taste and I think best fills the craving for a taco. The texture is also very nice. The tinga was quite tomato-y but was still very good. I also had the salvadorian horchata which is very refreshing and not overly sweet -- also vegan because they make it with water instead of milk. I've tried many things over the years and never had a bad experience. They're my fav tacos in the city and I love ordering from them at the the local farmers markets, too. Food was good... Ordered pupusas, the yuca fries, and empanadas. I really enjoyed the queso that came with the yuca fries. We tried a few of the pupusas and empanadas and enjoyed it all. They do offer vegan options, which is pretty unique- but can't say if it was good or not since we didn't try any. The place was clean- with plenty of tables and chairs. I popped in here last week for an order of carryout pupusas. I called in the order and everything was smooth from the call to the pickup experience, etc. You really can't go wrong with 3 in 1 Restaurant's pupusas and curtido. I always order extra curtido (and always want more). Our chicken and cheese and bean and cheese pupusas hit the spot. We also had an order of the pumpkin empanada (dessert) that come with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. The staff is friendly and it's great to see that they've expanded the space. I haven't been in 3 in 1 for a number of years. They have totally remodeled and now have a trendy vibe. TV monitors were playing HGTV and there was light music playing overhead. They serve beer and wine now! I shared the Pupusa Sampler with five assorted pupusas with my husband. The plate came with a generous portion of a sweet slaw. The five pupusa's were filled with cheese, beans/cheese, loroco/cheese, chipotle chicken/cheese and pork/beans/cheese. We loved them all, but the loroco was our favorite. Loroco is a flower that grows in El Salvador and has a wonderful flavor. Adrian our server was friendly, attentive and brought our waters quickly. The food also came out quickly. I think I've found my new favorite restaurant! From the outside, this place doesn't look like much. It's only when you walk in that you feel you've stepped into this vibrant hideaway with delicious new dishes to try. I had the skirt steak taco, queso crema tamale, and G.O.A.T. pupusa. They were all delicious but I was blown away by the tamale and the pupusa. The tamale is a deliciously sweet twist on a typical tamale! The sweet potato and cream cheese tastes like a savory dessert that took my taste buds back to my grandma's at Thanksgiving. The G.O.A.T lives up to its name and ensures my return to try the whole sampler! The people here are kind and attentive. I will definitely come back and bring more people with me! read more

I am so glad to have been reunited with this restaurant!!!! I use to go way back in the day when they were on W 56th St; so when I was driving the area I saw the name and took a gamble. They have upgraded their menu as they now have wine cocktails. They are premixed so depending on when you go they may not have all of them available. I had the passion fruit one and it was extremely tasty; a little on the sweet side but still very good. For my order I had the chicken tamales (which I missed) and a chipotle chicken pupusa. The food was amazing!!! It was just as good and perfect as I remembered it. The tamales have such a unique flavor since they are made with IN sweet corn and the flavor truly is one of a kind. Same with the pupusa, the tortilla is the perfect thickness and cooked to perfection around the meat and cheese. The service was great! I was greeted as soon I walked and and was asked if I was dining in or taking a to go order. I was there on a Friday in the later afternoon and there was plenty of seating which was great. It also was not very loud and the place is fairly larger there seemed to be two sides of dining space with table tops, high bars and bench seating available. Absolutely amazing! Adrian, the owner was our server and he was very helpful with suggesting menu items as well as explaining the history of the restaurant. They serve: Mexican Vegan Salvadoran It was incredible to find out that they have actually been open for 7 years and they also go to some local Farmers markets. I had the Pupusa steak and cheese and chipotle, chicken and cheese and they both were delicious! I preferred the chicken over the steak. I also had Tostone's and Vegan queso Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for something authentic. I've been here a couple times and it's always been fabulous. I'm a carnivore but have tried their vegan items my first time and I was impressed. This most recent trip I ordered the Sheep's Dream and the Smoking Bandit pupusas. Both were 10/10. In addition, we got the pumpkinadas for dessert. I ordered takeout of a smoking bandit pupusa for $7 and a steak & cheese taco for $3.99. I do not know which one (maybe the corn tortillas) was smelling so delicious even after I got home. Oh, the brisket was made inside the pupusa. I was given diced onions, sauces, and I think cilantro. I enjoyed my selections but may not pay for another pricey pupusa. So happy to see they have a full vegan menu. The chorizo is my favorite vegan option. The pupusa with vegan cheese and chorizo had a great flavor. I like that the pupusa dough was thin. They also have a huge vegan selection if that interests you. I also tried their horchata, I have always wanted to try horchata and my friend says theirs was slightly different since it is Salvadorian horchata (my friend is Mexican & Salvadorian), she's more used to Mexican horchata. It was my second time at 3 in 1 and wow, they made a major change inside! The walls were bright yellow before but now the entire dining area is brown-based and they have added new tables and chairs. Looks almost like a whole new place- I actually like it this way. They did a great iob! It is more cozy. I ordered two empanadas and one taco. This steak taco is amazing, it came with a lot of meat. Empanadas were great too, but I felt there was too much cheese in it that I taste it more than the meat. ooohhh man, get in here! i'll get right into it: i got an al pastor burrito and the "save the cows" empanada that was on special. the table split loaded vegan fries both ways -- with potatoes and with yucca, and chips and vegan queso. the burrito i honestly barely touched because i was so full i ate it as leftovers the next morning.. cold in my hand. it was delicious and i'd eat one every day if i could. those taro balls were doing it for me, and the amount of pineapple (only a bit) was perfect for my liking. at $10 it was a perfectly fair price, too. the empanada was.... okay. i loved the crispy shell on it, but the inside was kind of just a cheesy goop with no discernible texture outside of that. the flavor was okay, but i was hoping for more depth. the chipotle sauce on top didn't add as much "oomph" as i was expecting. definitely the low-light of the meal. the fries were tasty, but not $16 and $21 tasty -- i don't know why they're prices so wildly for such an individual-ish sized portion, but hey. everybody really liked the yucca fries -- me included -- but you can't go wrong flavor-wise with either option. the price was just shocking. the chips and queso were *it* though. the double layer crunch on the chips and that classic hot white queso flavor. most other people at the table were glad it "wasn't trying" to taste like queso...? but i feel like it was, and it did a good job of it. you can tell it's not real breast milk, but i'm cool with that. the table sauces were.. okay. i enjoyed the tomatillo and mild sauces, but the hot one just tasted like heat to me. which was fine when i mixed it with the mild. awesome stuff. the service was very attentive, the food came out super fast, and it was all-around a great experience, but between the mushy goo on the interior of the empanada and wild price on the fries.. i'm tempted to give a 4/5. buuut since this place was so incredibly helpful for my girlfriend (who has celiac) and took it very seriously, that makes 3-in-1 a 5 and VERY STUPIDLY EASY must-visit recommendation for anybody in or around Indianapolis. read more

They served it with coleslaw and salsa which gave it a nice balance. Beef empanada - I recently went to Argentina, the land of empanadas, and this was right up there with the best of them. I was surprised it was served with lettuce and sour cream but nicely filled and with so much flavor. Fried corn poppers - the sweetness of the corn tamale made into bite sized pieces served with powered sugar. Dreams really can come true. Service: The people working at the counter were so sweet! It felt like a family business. Price: Super affordable. I think I paid less than $10 for the empanada and pupusa. I am so glad my friend suggested we try 3 in 1.
