Steak. Broccoli and a sweet potato
    Ross S.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a coworker for a long time. One of my other coworkers and I were close and decided to give it a try. It is a very nice location and very clean and a nice vibe. We both ordered steaks and our food came out I. A timely manner. My steak was under cooked and I e cold. I did send it back and it came out better. It did taste good. The sides of broccoli and a sweet potato were also cold and I did not eat them my coworker got brocade and didn't eat his either. The waitress was very good and kept our drinks filled. My coworker ordered a pie to go and it looked amazing but he didn't try it there.

Chocolate cake, spicy cheese curds and artichoke dip

Great service. We came as party of two and decided to split everything so we could have appetizer and dessert. We started with spinach artichoke dip for appetizer and perfect size for sharing. Get the jalapeño crunch burger with jalepenos on side (then you can decide how hot you can handle. We opted for wedge fries and didn't know it was an option to get them loaded with cheese and bacon. So glad we did, we got an order of sour cream, and it was like loaded potato skins. Excellent choice for a side with your burger. We finished off with my favorite. The chocolate cake. It has a caramel macchiato icing and is the most moist chocolate cake you will ever have. It's worth celebrating any special occasion or just life in general. But don't skip the cake. We both left full and completely satisfied and we had food left over. Excellent lunch stop during antiquiting in Cambridge City.

I wish this place was closer to home! That was the mantra we were repeating again and again throughout our dining experience. Food was excellent, service was great, atmosphere was lively, staff members were working hard with cheerful attitudes, seating was comfortable, bar was attractive and well stocked, and prices were right. It was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Big dining room, brick walls, high open ceiling, lots of wood. Plenty of booths. We got really lucky and were seated in one of the three booths actually in the bar...you know in Indiana that's the no children zone so we were happy. Our waitress was Natasha and she was on the ball and quite helpful. I told her I like a true medium rare but I usually order rare due to frequent issues with the steak being overcooked. I noticed their menu has the descriptions of the steak doneness so I felt more confident they would get it right. Natasha suggested I try it "Pittsburgh Rare" which is seared and charred outside with rare middle. I had to try it and glad I did! My husband ordered the twin North Atlantic lobster tails- how could he not. Expectations were cautious since we are quite a ways from the coast, but wow! They were big, firm and sweet, served with melted butter. Amazing and for $30. Easy five stars and man do I wish they were a little closer to home.

    BLT with wedges

I ended up on Cambridge City during my travels and wanted to try something new. No 9 Grill had good reviews and a cool building so I thought this would be a good choice. I parked on the street directly in front of the front doors, but they also have a parking lot. Easy parking makes me want to give them stars for that alone. Honestly, the entire town has open parking spots everywhere along the main street. I went in and was sat down right away add a nice cool table which was very much welcomed after being outside in the 96° heat. I ordered a BLT and potato wedges from the lunch menu for $8.99. My question is why don't we have potato wedges more in Indianapolis? They're so delicious and they stay hot for longer because they're THICC. The bacon tasted like it was smoked outback and it was served on perfectly thick, toasted bread. It was really good. The wedges were served piping hot, crispy and seasoned. I just wish we had one of these closer to home because I would be a regular.

Strawberry cake and chocolate Carmel cake

First time here and we will definitely make it back in the near future. The steaks were cooked perfectly and had good juicy flavor. The BBQ salad was a good portion and had good flavor, a little spicy but not too much heat. We also had the onion straw appetizer which is very addicting! We threw some on our salads for a extra crunch. Then we finished with dessert. Our server mentioned the cake was made from a local baker and since we couldn't make up our mind, why not try both the strawberry and the chocolate Carmel cake. Very delicious and fresh!! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Delicious loaded waffle fries. Burger was a little overdone, but overall it was a great price for good food.

On entering around 1:30 pm on a Thursday, there were two couples standing at the unattended "please wait to be seated" sign, and I observed about half the tables in the front dining room had guests; the other half were covered with dirty dishes. Not wanting to spend an excessive amount of time, I peeked around the corner and observed two open seats at the small bar, so we took them instead. We had to move a dirty plate and glass over to the end of the bar. After about six minutes of sitting there with no bartender appearing we decided to just get a drink, and go elsewhere later for food. Finally a gal approached us, and it seemed that she was the only staff member on duty for both dining rooms and the bar. She was nice enough, but it was disappointing that she couldn't have just removed the dirty dishes which were six inches from my husband's elbow, not to mention the bar wasn't wiped down. The dishes were still there when we left. We caught her passing through after a while to ask for the tab, which was $7.77. My husband put down a $20 bill and she brought back $12.00. Now I realize some places are in a state of panic hysteria over "penny shortages" but you don't just round UP a guest's tab and certainly not by almost a quarter. Some places give you a discount for cash; this one penalizes you. The decor is nice, rustic and countrified. I don't know how the food is obviously. As we were leaving I noticed the front dining room tables still hadn't been cleared and we were there about 20 minutes.

After we ordered we were asked if we needed anything, we were told we were fourth on the order board and it was ok to sit somewhere while we waited. The food is yummy, yummy. I love the club it's a salad with pulled pork, something love. Richelle said she yummy loved the brisket Mac-n-cheese. If you get it to go it will not look pretty when you get it home, see my picture, it was all mixed up but that is how Richelle would have eaten it any way. PROS: -decent sized space between tables and hi-tops…read morethroughout dining area, a large wrap-around bar, a sun-room-esque space of the northeast corner, and an outdoor patio area -extensive menu of variety that includes sandwiches, pizza, and mexican -server was friendly and efficient throughout our meal experience -Texas Twist Pretzel ($15.95) filled out what would typically be used for a 12-14" pizza and had the height of a deep dish. Nice crunchy and salty exterior with a soft bread interior. You may select 3 from their 4 sauce offerings for dipping. We chose the beer cheese, nacho cheese, and brew pub mustard. Mustard was sweet, which was OK, but we were hoping for something leaning more into the spicy zone. The four of us ate maybe 2/3rds of it before our meals arrived. Very different from anywhere else I have seen and would definitely consider again. -Wife and I shared a 12" Veggie Pizza ($19.95 on menu, but noticed we were charged $9.25 on receipt) that looks like a Pizza King pizza, but is much heavier. It was generously loaded with cheese in addition to mushroom, onion, green pepper, and olive. We ate a little more than half of it. Absolutely would consider ordering this again. -Father-in-law ordered the Fish Sandwich (12.95), which is advertised as an 8" filet served on a hoagie bun. It looked all of that size when it came out and he seemed to enjoy it. He took half of it home. CONS: -Acoustics in the main dining area can make it difficult to have a conversation at your table. -Father-in-law asked if we could eat in the sun-room space, due to his hearing aids, but he was told it was reserved for 4 hours later that afternoon, so we were seated in the main area. (Discouraged as we saw a family seated in the sun-room space an hour later after the main area had mostly filled.) -[*I didn't learn about most of this until afterwards, otherwise I probably would have said something.]. Daughter ordered the Chicken Wrap Dinner Special ($10.95), which can be ordered grilled or breaded (she ordered grilled), came with cheddar cheese, shaken in choice of sauce (she ordered buffalo), and is served with fresh chips and cole slaw. The cole slaw is mayo-based instead of vinegar as she was hoping. Her chips, while to their credit were freshly made, were not completely finished as several of them were still raw. She said there was no buffalo flavor to her chicken and it just tasted blah. On top of that, she felt miserable the rest of the day, so we're questioning the handling of the chicken. OVERALL: -Only initial hiccup was where we were seated, so I would have leaned more towards a 4.5 star review. After learning about the multiple issues with my daughter's experience, would probably lean more 3.5 for our family as a whole. Bottom line, would return and order the pretzel, pizza, and other sandwiches, but stay away from the chicken options and perhaps make sure they finish preparing the chips if you get them.

That right there told me they don't mind being different in the style of food they serve! After checking over the menu full of wraps and burgers amongst a plethora of other bar food I ended up getting some wings to try and the house made chips. I got half my wings in the BBQ flavor and the other Buffalo. Being honest the wings weren't anything special but they did hit the spot and the BBQ sauce wasn't anything special to me on the wings but if it was used in some pulled pork or ribs I believe I would enjoy it more. The buffalo sauce was really good and had just enough heat to need the ranch here and there. The house made chips were good, not overly seasoned and not over cooked either. The place is small but has a handful of high top round tables and a few bigger square tables in the front with a decent bar strip with plenty of bottles and beers on tap. The pool table in the side room looked like a great area to hang around and play some pool while enjoying some beers with the company of friends.
