A legend in its own time! This place earns high marks for food, atmosphere and service. It's non-chain and been operating in the same location as a tavern for an incredible 165 years. Very historic look. Check out the tin ceiling and tiled floor when you come in. Overall it's a small place, seating is tight and it will be loud, in a boisterous jolly kind of way. It's 21 and over only, however they do not allow smoking. Typical tavern menu - burgers and hot sandwiches, chili, fries, wings - made fresh to order and very good quality tasty food. BLT is excellent, grilled chicken was moist and tender (and enormous) - the Legends Cheeseburger was a big hit, a meal in itself. The sides are small (and cheap) but the sandwiches are so generous you really don't even need to add a side. The barmaids/servers were on the ball. As busy as it was they were in constant motion waiting on the patrons. Order taking was prompt and we were checked on several times. They were knowledgeable regarding the beer choices (8 on tap I believe plus many bottle and can options). Bit of a wait for food, but acceptable considering how busy they are, and keeping in mind you're not getting a nuked frozen patty that shows up in six minutes. One caveat: at busiest times the place may be packed to capacity and there sure ain't no room for a waiting area inside! I like Legends a lot and highly recommend.

If you are looking for Burger with rich flavor, this is your place. It is seasoned well, and they don't skimp on toppings. Portions are generous. I am currently eating low-carb and they have plenty of choices for me for a side as well instead of fries. If you get the regular burger, the Parmesan fries are a must. They have great pizzas, and a full bar. This place has been around for more than 100 years and I can see why... They do everything right. If you wanna listen to music they have a jukebox. The restrooms are clean and all the food is great. You can sit at the bar if you were by yourself on lunch hour. Excellent pub food.

Great service!!! Great atmosphere, 2nd oldest bar in IN! Keto friendly Blackened Blue Burger for me with a side to share of Cheesy Balls of pepper jack and coleslaw...hubs handled those with his Frank's Buffalo Chicken pizza. Everything delish! Fascinating place!

I came here for the first time several months ago to try the food and get a picture for a food app. I decided to come back for Yelp. I ordered the One That Got Away Fish Sandwich, Sweet Potato Fries, and a Diet Coke. The sandwich was good, and it had a big piece of fish on it. One might have to cut it up. The Sweet Potato Fries were good, too. I liked the pictures on the wall, including entertainers and sports figures. I think they may have raised their prices since the last time I was here.

4 Stars for service and friendly customers. Stopped in on our way to Indy. Nice little spot. The neighborhood seemed a little sketch, but nothing I'm not used too. Service was good. We sat at the bar. They have a small selection of craft beer on draught. I had a tasty kolsch. Boyfriend liked his food. He got a chicken sammy (one of his fAvorite things, so I know his opinion is solid) I got the Santa Fe egg rolls. They weren't bad but tasted like the cheap appetizers you find in the freezer aisle at Kroger. I ate them all though ‍ The bartender and someone sitting next to us suggested some cool spots to check out while we were visiting Indy. Super nice! Would stopp back in if ever in the area.

Massively high ceilings, two stories including an elevated train platform. Parts of old train cars make up part of it and the main barroom floor comes from a basketball court! The outside is covered with cool mural paintings. On our first visit it was a little tricky to find the door. All those big TV screens and tons of sport related decor, as you'd expect for a sports bar, but the lighting is rather low, which I liked. The menu is more typical family restaurant, much more than bar food. The salads were simple and fresh and the lettuce was crispy iceberg. I had spaghetti and meatballs, requested and received a shaker of parmesan. The dish needed a little salt but was tasty and satisfying. My husband had a sirloin which he thought was cooked a little beyond the requested medium rare, but it was tender and tasty so he was a happy camper. Service was friendly, sweet and prompt. They have NFL Sunday Ticket and TouchTunes jukebox. I saw a full size shuffleboard and would like to come back to play that. There's a pool table in the other dining room. One tall beer, one shot, one soda, two entrees, 40 bucks. Recommended for an inexpensive satisfying meal, plus the historical setting.

We each got the three piece chicken dinner. We have REALLY high chicken standards. I would give the chicken a 3 out of 5. It was cooked through, crisp and juicy, but no seasoning. I took chicken off bone with fork and dipped in ranch and that took it to a 5 out of 5. They did let us switch of sides and I got the loaded baked potato. The loaded baked was AMAZING with cheese and bacon! The peel was so good and crisp, I ate the entire thing skin and all. I tried the mashed potatoes and gravy and they were very good. The bar tender was fast and attentive. Great choice for a sports bar to watch a game. They are known for their pizza, I will try that next time.

PROS: -decent sized space between tables and hi-tops…read morethroughout dining area, a large wrap-around bar, a sun-room-esque space of the northeast corner, and an outdoor patio area -extensive menu of variety that includes sandwiches, pizza, and mexican -server was friendly and efficient throughout our meal experience -Texas Twist Pretzel ($15.95) filled out what would typically be used for a 12-14" pizza and had the height of a deep dish. Nice crunchy and salty exterior with a soft bread interior. You may select 3 from their 4 sauce offerings for dipping. We chose the beer cheese, nacho cheese, and brew pub mustard. Mustard was sweet, which was OK, but we were hoping for something leaning more into the spicy zone. The four of us ate maybe 2/3rds of it before our meals arrived. Very different from anywhere else I have seen and would definitely consider again. -Wife and I shared a 12" Veggie Pizza ($19.95 on menu, but noticed we were charged $9.25 on receipt) that looks like a Pizza King pizza, but is much heavier. It was generously loaded with cheese in addition to mushroom, onion, green pepper, and olive. We ate a little more than half of it. Absolutely would consider ordering this again. -Father-in-law ordered the Fish Sandwich (12.95), which is advertised as an 8" filet served on a hoagie bun. It looked all of that size when it came out and he seemed to enjoy it. He took half of it home. CONS: -Acoustics in the main dining area can make it difficult to have a conversation at your table. -Father-in-law asked if we could eat in the sun-room space, due to his hearing aids, but he was told it was reserved for 4 hours later that afternoon, so we were seated in the main area. (Discouraged as we saw a family seated in the sun-room space an hour later after the main area had mostly filled.) -[*I didn't learn about most of this until afterwards, otherwise I probably would have said something.]. Daughter ordered the Chicken Wrap Dinner Special ($10.95), which can be ordered grilled or breaded (she ordered grilled), came with cheddar cheese, shaken in choice of sauce (she ordered buffalo), and is served with fresh chips and cole slaw. The cole slaw is mayo-based instead of vinegar as she was hoping. Her chips, while to their credit were freshly made, were not completely finished as several of them were still raw. She said there was no buffalo flavor to her chicken and it just tasted blah. On top of that, she felt miserable the rest of the day, so we're questioning the handling of the chicken. OVERALL: -Only initial hiccup was where we were seated, so I would have leaned more towards a 4.5 star review. After learning about the multiple issues with my daughter's experience, would probably lean more 3.5 for our family as a whole. Bottom line, would return and order the pretzel, pizza, and other sandwiches, but stay away from the chicken options and perhaps make sure they finish preparing the chips if you get them.

No. Was it a darn good pizza? You bet. We went mid-afternoon and there was hardly anyone there. My wife and I came here for our anniversary and it was so relaxing, with the sun setting over the western horizon and the Barn not to packed it was a perfect night. The Brew Barn is awesome with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and that really cool modern barn vibe that we all love. With a great menu with pizza, shareable (like 10 barrel pretzel or totchos) to handhelds (cheesesteaks, shrimp tacos or pulled pork to name a few) the menu will have you licking your chops like your favorite K9 back home. All pizzas are brick oven and they do have some stadium dogs too if that the fixing you are looking for. They have happy hour Tuesday - Thursday 3pm-5pm, Friday 11am-5pm and Sunday 9am-8pm. Also on Sunday they have a buffet for lunch from 9am-noon. This location is probably my favorite because it isn't in the city, surrounded by lots of noise, it's off the beaten path and the road less traveled. The service is great and they are super welcoming. Head out to Maria Stein for a slower Saturday or Sunday afternoon and enjoy the original Moeller Brew Barn, it's a great delight.
