Service was fine. Food was terrible. Tea tasted like dishwater. The wings had no sauce and no flavor. Pretzel "loaves" were 2 pretzel sticks. Cold fries and chicken tenders that looks like the off brand from Walmart. But it was expensive. read more

Stumbled on this restaurant off I-70 while traveling. What a great find!! Food was great (wings were homemade) service was pleasant and best of all it was cheap! We came here during a school trip and were honestly disappointed. We had a big group, and while we understand that takes time, the service was slow even after the food was ready. We could literally see the food sitting there, but it took forever for it to actually be brought to our tables. On top of that, they mixed up several orders and didn't seem to know who got what. Some of us got our food late, and others were still waiting while everyone else was almost done eating. There was no clear system, and the staff looked confused most of the time. We were excited to eat here, but the long wait and disorganized service took away from the experience. The food itself was decent once we got it, but the management really needs to step it up if they want to handle large groups--especially school trips where timing matters. Great COLD BEER. Decent service. Not the most beautiful place and the food is adequate but BEER!

We were traveling through the area and they did not look busy so we thought we would give them a try. Next time we will save our money and stomachs. I ordered the pretzels with nacho cheese and the only saving grace was the cheese which was good. The pretzels were hard, tasteless, sáltelas balls of yuck. My mother got a chicken sandwich and specifically asked for no onion add tomato. The sandwich came with onion and no tomato. We let the waitress know and she did correct this but also took the time to let us know she did her job right and someone else made the mistake which was tactless one my opinion. A side of bbq was sixty nine cents, an addition we were not told we would be billed. Now the waitress rolled her eyes so many times I lost count. She made it clear we were bothering her and really did nothing to deserve the top left for her. The only reason she received a tip was I realize there is a pandemic going on and waitresses don't make much.... but there needs to be more effort made to at least be welcoming and not make visitors seem like a bother. read more

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. Staff was practicing COVID-19 precautions. We were seated very quickly. It appeared that they were practicing social distancing with customers. We're giving paper menus. Our drink order was taking very quickly. We gave the server our order for appetizer and meal selection. Appetizer was served hot and as we are ordered. Mills are also served hot and as we had ordered. Our appetizer was fried pickles. That seems to be a go to for us anywhere we go they were very good. We both ordered the bourbon molasses chicken wings. Our sides were french fries and baked beans. The chicken wings in my opinion we're out of this world. Dipping sauce was an option I probably did about half. These are delicious without the sauce. We will definitely go back to Fricker's. Not bad at all and a great price half slab of ribs and 6 wings for 17 with fries, slaw and a roll. The ribs had a good char from grill but fell off the bone but had a slight funky flavor from the fat. The wings were perfectly but need a little more sauce. Service was good. read more

First time eating here. We were staying at a nearby campground and was told about this place. The wings were okay. The ribs were the best thing that we had. The white chicken chili was kinda flavorless. Kids 10 and under eat free all day everyday. Our daughter's corn nuggets were undercooked, they did make new ones for us to take back to the camper. I originally fell in love with this wings & suds joint in Toledo on South Reynolds Road 30 years ago and have grown more addicted over the years. Let's just say that trips to Van Wert, Richmond & Dayton are almost always accompanied by a chance to grab some wings and a sandwich from the local watering hole. The food is always consistently good, the menu is straightforward, the beer is cold, the selection is varied and the service is always quick, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend! Ridiculous argument with manager over comping $3 (on $40 order). Their nachos less cheesy than any -my entire life- (about as dry as cardboard). I asked for extra cheese, was charged $3, then asked for that to be comped. She said impossible. I suggested splitting the diff, she responded $1. We went back and forth over $0.50, I was obviously unhappy... I finally said whatever that they were losing a customer over a few dollars. We over heard her complaining about people being seated in her area. When we asked her if our son could get a refill, her immediate response "take the lid off". She wasn't pleasant at all. I ordered the Chicken wrap with medium sauce. It didn't come with anything and was mainly filled with lettuce. My chicken was missing the medium buffalo sauce, so my husband gave me his side of buffalo that he got with his chicken tenders and asked the server for BBQ sauce. My husband got his extremely small side of BBQ sauce, which we found out on the check there was a .79 cent charge for. The buffalo sauce tasted like there was a fish oil mixed in with it and the bbq sauce had a strong vinegar taste. I do not recommend this place. read more

We stopped in here while driving through Richmond on the way home. We found the food to be very good and very affordable. We both ordered the rib and wing basket. We'll definitely stop in here again another time. Love their Charbroiled Chicken Pizza! With chunks of chicken and banana peppers.... It's amazing! We normally just do take out at Fricker's mostly because it's often crowded and pretty loud when games or fights are on TV. We will dine in, however, during lunch. Kids eat free when dining in, too. We've not ever been disappointed with the good with one exception: the smores dessert. It's not that great. But we rarely do dessert anyway so it's ok. Prices are fairly decent; the pizza is roughly $8, sandwiches are about $6+. They've got plenty of parking and are easy to find. Tonight, we try their fried pickles for the first time! The burger is a 1, while the sports bar atmosphere and service is a 4. The burger was absolutely one of the worst blue cheese and bacon burgers ever! First the bun was hard and inedible. No way I was eating that brick. I decided to eat the burger with fork and knife but the hockey puck of a patti was too tough for consuming and I have no idea where the blue cheese was...there was some white creamy substance but not a piece of blue cheese. Thew wings were crispy and decent size but very remote flavor and sparse coating of Chipotle. Credit to the waitress at the bar for offering to made it right and got me an order of wings. Well, when you think of your country bumpkin-style bars serving up greasy food from the movies, you're actually picturing Fricker's in Richmond, Indiana. I have nothing wrong with these type of establishments. I just found it quite "interesting" that, let's call him Mr.B, chose this for our first date. Wings are the name of the game at Fricker's. So, we each ordered a hefty pile. My slow eating habits couldn't seem to keep up with Mr.B's sauce-covered jowls. "You gonna eat that?" -gesturing to my few remaining wings (internally: are you f**king kidding me? Of course, I'm going to eat it. Back off hot caveman.) The combination of his eating habits and meathead ways (eating as if it was The Last Supper) and Fricker's dark/not-so-cozy/dirty? interior left me wondering, "what the hell are you doing here? why does the general female population think this guy shits gold?" I do not feel i made a bad choice but i am going to tell you how the 4 star experience gets knocked down to 2 stars. when we first walked in the place smelled weird. not pleasant, but i can not tell you exactly what it smelled like. the lady at the hostess stand very nice told us to sit where ever we wanted. we ordered 2 sweet teas and a soda. the waitress placed my sweet tea in the middle of the table. I did not realize it was there and apparently someone the nephew knocked it over. 1 star lost for the smell and who puts a persons drink in the middle of the table. Now what really gets my goat. My nephew ordered the chipotle boneless wings. He did not like them and we were told that we would be charged for another order of the wings. That always ticks me off because I work for a fast food giant and would not charge someone for not liking something. I paid 69 cents for 1 ounce of ranch dressing for my chicken chunks. the food otherwise was pretty good. the chicken soup tasted 60 % homemade. the fries were hot. The chipotle chicken chunks had more of a chipotle sauce than a chipotle bbq sauce that we are used to at our usual hauntss. The service was ok. i just don't think i will be back. read more
