Great food. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were perfect on a snowy afternoon. A must try!

Terrible food. I don't write negative reviews often, but this was not good. First, the fried…read morepickles we ordered as an appetizer came out burnt. They were in the fryer so long they were practically charred. The cole slaw seemed almost puréed. My wife ordered grilled chicken tenders. They came out fried and overly cooked. She thought at first bite that they were fish because of the taste. I ordered fish, so it is obvious that everything was fried in the same basket. And the grease/oil has needed to be changed for quite a while. My fish tasted bland and mostly if burnt oil. The fries were over saturated and tasted just like the bland fish. My mother ordered a tenderloin sandwich that also looked burnt to a crisp. Lesson learned here: order NOTHING that goes into a fryer. And apparently order nothing grilled, because it will get fried, too. The wait staff was brand new and was having some trouble figuring out our order. There didn't seem to be any shadowing or training happening. It took a long time for our main dishes to arrive. We did like the unique decor and overall appearance of the restaurant, but that's about the only thing I can give them credit for.

The menu included appetizers, soup, sandwiches, and several entree options. The restaurant is decorated as if you were in a cabin at the lake. The downside was there were no more than five other parties within the restaurant, and it still took over an hour to get our food. Refills were forgotten or not offered, and the food was good but not great. It wasn't what they had initially built their reputation on.

The additional eggs was two dollars, and fifty cents, and a small pepsi was two dollars. And fifty cents. No eggs for the salad and no mushrooms for the salad. No fruit on the salad bar. No french dressing rude waitresses. And we had to pay extra ford eggs. Yet when I call them and ask them if it was a full solid bar they said, oh yes, of course. They did say that the salad bar was unlimited. What little or was. Yet, they required you to get a second small plate rather than just give you one large plate to get your food. Places like this should be shut down. Save your money go to mcdonald's at least there. They have eggs in a salad. When my wife informed them that we would not be back to have dinner here ever again. The cook basically, just shrugged your shoulders and said, whatever. It's businesses like this that give the United States a bad name.

None of the food stood out to me, or made me want to go back. There's no wow factor. French fries are crinkle cut and bland so make sure you add seasoning. Mushroom burger was just a flavorless mushroom burger. It was ok. But not worth the 40 minute drive.

I finally had to stop in this place to see for myself why this small restaurant next to a gas…read morestation was receiving 5 Star reviews. I went in at lunchtime, and it was very busy. Definitely a popular place. I noticed many construction workers but also several families with kids. The menu was fairly simple: burgers, sandwiches, burritos, chili, salad. Customers line up at the counter to place their orders. There were several cheese options for the sandwiches and burritos. There was an extensive breakfast menu. I would probably return for breakfast, but I wasn't overly impressed with the burrito I ordered for lunch. When I ordered a burrito, and was asked what I wanted on the burrito I started with asking for beans and rice. That request earned a rather puzzled look from the employee, and he said they didn't have beans. I guess I had just assumed that if they had burritos on the menu they would have beans and rice to put in them. So I just requested cheese and chopped tomatoes, lettuce, black olives, salsa, and chipotle sauce. The burrito was fine. The food quality was average to slightly below average. For example, an employee opened a large bag of shredded lettuce in front of me and dumped it into the bin. I'm guessing other ingredients were prepackaged and pre prepped. Employees were friendly and obviously this place is a local favorite. Prices are very reasonable. I would give it another try for breakfast but wouldn't order another burrito.

I found this out after I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with no bun. My burger was cooked perfectly, bacon crisp and they let you choose your toppings like subway. It shares a location with Shell. There is sometimes a line at lunch, but it moves quickly. They serve up a great breakfast, so they offer breakfast sandwiches or lunch on the cloud bread. I have also called ahead and they have had an omelette waiting for me when I got there at the drive-through window which was fabulous, it is right off of the interstate so you could totally call ahead and this could be a super quick stop.
