Order a bowl of Ramen which was a large size and very good. The broth was full of flavor and the noodles were fresh. I ofdered some steam rice and it was fresh and hot. Nice smooth taste, not fishy or any other strange taste you get at other places. I also ordered the garlic honey wings and yangyum flavored wings. The honey wings were a little to sweet for me, but fried perfectly. The breaded wings taste fantastic. The yangyum wings are a sweet & spicy flavor. These were really good. The service by Joey was great. I highly suggest stopping by for lunch or dinner.
It's like me to always order more than needed but when trying a new place family style is best and this place makes family style their style. The chicken being so crispy but juicy is probably some secret recipe lol. I got the chicken piled high with green onions, a creamy dressing, and loved it. Super casual spot, some soju is a perfect pairing. Worth the try, will need to try it again.
Honestly really disappointed with my experience here. The water I was given had food bits floating in it, which was really disgusting and immediately ruined my appetite. When I pointed it out to the waiter, she just said "Oh," got me another water, and said sorry. I understand mistakes happen, but I honestly expected a little more concern about the situation. When my wings came out, the way they were given to me felt like there was some attitude behind it, which made the experience feel even more uncomfortable and disrespectful. I still ate some of the wings, but by that point I honestly felt disgusted and disappointed and couldn't really enjoy my food. The cashier, however, was very sweet and was definitely the nicest part of my experience. Unfortunately, the dirty water and the way I was treated by the waiter really left a bad impression.
Ok... however they make the "Cr@ck Cheese" chicken... I'm addicted! To me, it's probably the best thing on the menu. I can eat that item ALL DAY. I also like the "Green Onion" item because well, I like onions! If you don't like green onions, DO NOT order this item because it's literally a big pile of it on top of chicken. Their fried chicken I thought was OK... taste like other Korean fried chicken places. I do not recommend ordering the "Oven Baked Chicken". I thought this was the worst item that we ordered. It was dry and overall didn't taste good.
This location is fantastic. I've been a very long time fan of the original location in Dallas. This one is s but roomier, staff is just as great, if not better. Truly have the best chicken. No 1 for sure.

I tried some of my friends sampler platter. The flavors are okay. I didn't find a flavor I loved. We did get a side of the cheese powder and that was good. We did enjoy the fries combo. Overall our group liked it. We'll prob come back.

The chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the portion sizes are super generous. I almost always end up with leftovers (which is a win because it tastes just as good the next day!). What makes it even more special is the owner -- she's incredibly sweet, and it was so nice getting to see her in person at this location. I've actually been a fan of this spot since middle school, so seeing her open more locations around DFW makes me genuinely happy. If you're craving Korean fried chicken, this is the place. Great food, great people, and a place that truly feels like a local gem. 10/10 recommend
Since Mike's is closed on Sundays, we went to the 2nd best in my opinion. But this time I switched up our orders. We usually get the Platter where you get to try all the flavors divided between a whole chicken. This time, we ordered the Original Fried Chicken (whole) while the crunch and tenderness of the freshly fried chicken, the chicken is lacking for me. I feel like it can't stand on its own without the sauces but I'm not expert on Korean fried chicken. This location have a more spacious feel compared to the OG location in Dallas. Service is nothing to complain about. If or when I come back I'd probably get it with sauces on the chicken again to really enjoy it.

This restaurant has such a cute and unique interior and I love how the restaurant is moderate size yet they made it spacious. We ordered the half and half (yangyum&honey garlic) and green onion chicken. The half and half chicken were super crispy and green onion chicken had one of the best marinated green onion I've ever had. To top it off, the service was great too! The servers came by in rounds to ask if we needed anything. This is definitely a good hang out place with friends!

Wanted to try a new Korean wing spot after frequenting the usual chains like Pelicana and .BBQ. I really enjoyed the wings they were equal parts crispy and and saucy . We also tried their pork dumplings and Cajun fries which were excellent as well.
Food (3.5): we got the 20 piece wing combo breaded with yangyum and soy sauces on the side. We liked the yangyum sauce the most! It wasn't too sweet and was slightly spicy... I think it would even be better if it were more spicy. The wings itself had a nice crisp, but I expected it to be a bit more crispy for Korean fried chicken. Pickled rashes were a complementary side that I really appreciated and loved! Service (5/5): we dined in and it was a lovely experience! Our server explained the menu to us and answered all our questions! When you're ready to order or need assistance, there are buttons located on the back of the booth which makes service fast and efficient. The food came out in a timely manner. Ambiance: we went for a late lunch so it wasn't too busy. There were a few tables occupied which gave for a nice and chill vibe. Would I visit again? Maybe. Although the food was good and the service was great, there's more Korean fried chicken spots to give a shot! read more

Excellent place for Korean fried chicken - crispy yet not greasy. The platter comes with all their flavors so I recommend getting this if you are here for the first time. My favorite flavors were the soy and yangyum. Make sure to ask for radish as it pairs extremely well and helps cut the richness of the chicken. Be aware that the platter is a whole chicken, not just the wings. Another great option is the green onion chicken. Fried boneless nuggets are topped with a slaw of green onions and the topping itself is quite addictive! The curly fries were also very good and comes in a huge portion of fried crispy goodness. read more
We usually have to drive to one of the other locations but thankfully now we have one closer to home! Food here is always solid and service is great. This new location is a little bit brighter than the other two but seems smaller. We came a little bit later at night so it was quiet but staff was super friendly and tentative. Place a little small, but accommodated my large party of 11. Everything came out fresh, hot and crispy! That's what we all come for is the crispy chicken! Everything was flavorful and came out in a fair amount of time with a full house. Nice vibe with good music. read more
Solid chicken place. Their tteokbokki is fire as well. I asked for gloves to eat the chicken with and honestly it just made the experience so much better. Nothing beats eating chicken with your hands but still feeling clean. They also have tanghulu! I got the strawberry tanghulu but I believe they also have orange, grape, and a mix. Only sad thing is there aren't many tables so try not coming during the rush hours. read more

The food is freshly made to order every time and comes out steaming hot. Taste of chicken is very flavorful and bold. My favorite were the lemon pepper and soy wings! The service is great, very quick and attentive. Each employee is prompt and responds to the bell. The atmosphere is small but cozy and has a warm vibe to it. read more

Been wanting to try No. 1 plus chicken for a while, glad we finally went! We got the platter, the onion chicken, and the fried rice cake with cheese. Everything was so tasty, it was fried fresh, and flavors were delicious. Service was fast, and it wasn't that crowded around 1pm on a Saturday. Cute restaurant with even better food! Would definitely come back, one of the best Korean fried chicken places we've tried in DFW. read more

This Joint is just ok, mediocre at best. The chicken is good, not great. We made the mistake of ordering their bulgogi beef, which was more of a stir-fri with way to many veggies. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. There are much better KFCs in DFW. read more

The food itself was pretty standard for a Korean restaurant/pocha in Carrollton. The rose tteokbokki was really soft and chewy, and the sauce itself was pretty good. We got curly fries that were average, but we destroyed them since we were so hungry. The highballs were surprisingly good. Passion fruit was definitely the best flavor, which is one I don't normally go for. I think our least favorite flavor was the watermelon since it wasn't strong in taste. Beers were as expected. Service was normal. The place wasn't very busy when our large party of 10+ people came, so they didn't seem overwhelmed at all. The place was decently clean and the bathroom was normal. Overall, an ok place for the price. read more

date visited: 09.13.2024 ordered: soy garlic wings quantity was good but the sauce was so thick and gritty that it made the wings soggy. the batter was also too wet in my opinion, but the quantity is decent for the price. service took forever even though we were one of the only groups seated. radish cost extra and also the kimchi banchan was watery and a bit bland. their dry wings (the yangyum in particular) looked a lot better. fries were fine. would go somewhere else esp if you're in the carrollton area! read more
Really good Korean Fried Chicken! Everything is made to order, so it may take at least 20 mins to get your order, but it is worth the wait! I ordered onion rings and a whole chicken platter. So happy, they opened up a location in Carrollton! My favorite Korean chicken spot in DFW. This place lives up to the high standards they've established at the other locations. The platter is a great dish to start with since it includes every specialty flavor. Every piece was flavorful, nice crispy batter, and fresh & hot. My favorite flavor is the sweet garlic, a wonderful glaze and garlic flavor make it perfect. The boneless onion chicken is amazing too - generous amounts of onion and the sauce they top it with is the best part. Also don't forget to try their tang hulu, also a hit. read more
