Service was attentive, and on a Saturday afternoon there was no wait and we were seated promptly. Ambience is very chill, a lot of acoustic covers of popular pop songs, and the restaurant was nice and bright. Onto food, the salad with peanut sauce had a bit of a coconut flavor to it, which I liked. For the lunch special I chose the spring rolls and crispy duck pineapple fried rice. The rice had a nice subtle smokiness. The crispy duck was very filling (though it was a bit dry, but overall good) I tried the pad Thai and it was saucy and flavorful (which I felt is a better pairing with the crispy duck compared to the fried rice). Came here for Saturday lunch and the restaurant was decently busy. We were seated immediately and the lunch specials caught our eyes. I ordered the Massaman Curry with Chicken for my main entree and the Thai dumplings for my appetizer. The peanut sauce was very fragrant from the salad and the curry was nicely seasoned and very creamy from the coconut, pairing great with the potatoes. The staff were friendly and the interior was nice and clean! I would say the food here is on the sweeter side for Thai but still delicious nonetheless. Horrible service!!! This place cares only about making money instead of being honest to customers. I called to order lunch for this place and they never told us why it would take like 30+. When I went to this place, they said it would take like another 15 minutes because they have some health inspection. It is our go-to Thai restaurant when we are in the mood for That food. The food is really good, especially their crab fried rice and all of their specialty drinks. My favorite has the be ginger drink. Yum! I order it all the time. The restaurant is modern with great atmosphere. Unfortunately there is only one bathroom, and several times I had to wait for a while to use it. The waitstaff is a hit or miss. Although we come here often, I don't feel it is a hospitable place to eat every time. Maybe that is why I am not giving it 5 stars. Some of the staff can be a bit mean and rude, like they would rush you with your food or side eye you and don't want to even bother dealing with you. The appetizer platter is definitely worth getting in order to sample lots of the offerings. I love the dumplings and the curry puffs. I got the lunch special with pork belly and peanut sauce. Only downside is that there is nothing that hints that you are in a Thai restaurant ... could have just as easily been a Greek restaurant. Staff was super friendly. We ordered: Curry Puffs - puff pastry stuffed with curry chicken. 5/5 Peanut Dumpling - steamed dumplings filled with peanuts. Contrast of crunchy sweet peanuts and gooey purple dumpling wrap. 3/5 Duck Tamarind - this was the biggest disappointment of the meal. The duck was very dry and overcooked. 2/5 Fried Chicken Basket - is this a Thai version of General Tso's chicken? The pieces of chicken were dry and the pungent sweet and sour sauce was a little overpowering 3/5 Coconut Sticky Rice with Ice Cream - beautiful presentation of green ice cream on a bed of blue coconut rice. I had flashbacks of the Avatar food court at Disney. 5/5 Fried Ice Cream - a scoop of fried vanilla ice cream with a raspberry drizzle 5/5 TL/DR: liberal use of food coloring elevates the desserts. Water came out fast as well as menus and we were left with plenty of time to look it over. We went for the vegetarian app combo and it was great. Tofu that was cooked decently, great dumplings that didn't fall apart, crispy spring rolls and truly exceptional chive pancakes. Walked back in around the 45 minute mark. she said 15 more minutes. Waited a little longer. Walked in after the hour mark and she said i'm sorry, we can't make your food right now. She even said she would call us but never did and I had to walk in. I asked to cancel my order. All she said was she was sorry and at the same time was picking up orders on the phone. The fact I had to wait an hour for my food and cancelled it because they couldn't be honest. Always passed by but never went in until today! Heard they had a great lunch special deal so i definitely have to come back to try. We came in for a really early dinner which was great because we had the whole restaurant to ourselves until the very end. The inside was so chewy and full of chives, the accompanying sauce was tangy Curry puffs - the puff pastry was very flaky and the puff was filled to the brim Zap wings - very saucy and tasted like buffalo with a tangy sweetness like soy garlic wings. It had a nice kick to it Crispy Duck over rice - the duck was surprisingly dry. It came with a rice and a heap of veggies which were very good Soft shell crab casserole - layered from bottom to top was pork belly, cabbage, glass noodles, deep fried soft shelled crab. I'm not sure if this was meant to be a dry dish or if the noodles absorbed all the liquid, it was very good but just needed some more liquid to it since the noodles were super dry. Thai iced tea and coco mango - Thai iced tea was normal but the coco mango was delicious!! It was coco cream/water blended with chunks of mango and lime Mango sticky rice - mango was not in season but the tartness was nice and complemented the sticky rice really well. Food: Good (4 out of 5 stars); standard, well-executed interpretations. We ordered: - Duck Pineapple Curry: $22. Roast duck with canned pineapple chunks, cherry tomatoes, sliced jalapeño peppers, and curry. Niyom didn't separate the duck and curry, so the duck skin wasn't crispy but a bit soggy. - Pad See-Ew with Chicken, Lunch Special: $12. We chose Thai dumplings, which resembled lean Chinese siu mai, as our appetizer. The dumplings and their dipping sauce seemed to be house made and were both were amazing. I called my order in, they were pleasant on the phone, let me know the total cost without me having to ask (love this; I believe you should let your customer know without them asking before the call ends) and told me 15 minutes. And when I showed up in 14 minutes it was ready to go; thumbs up! I engaged in conversation with the guy in the bar area, who let me know they've been open about 1.5 months. The inside has a clean cut, sleek thai design. You can eat in, they have about 15 or so tables, or you can order for takeout. Their prices align with every local thai restaurant I've ordered from. I decided to go with the thai dumplings from the appetizers and the drunken noodles with chicken. The noodles come with spice but I requested it to be spicier . The food was packaged nicely and the lid for the noodles had a sticker of their name, nice touch. They also included utensils without me having to ask. You'd be surprised how many spots don't give utensils in to go orders nowadays. $8 for the dumplings and $15 for the drunken noodles. First time I've had thai dumplings and I will say, I will be ordering again! Four dumplings with steamed chicken and shrimp on top of a little salad and house soy sauce. Dumplings had a great flavor and you can taste fresh shrimp and chicken for sure. The soy sauce, what a nice surprise with a little hit of spice. The drunken noodles, another homerun. Loaded with chicken, noodles done just right, and delicious vegetables. The spice level was right where I needed it to be. For those with less tolerance for spice, I'd recommend either sticking with their regular spice level for this dish or ask for less spice. Another item I will absolutely be ordering again. Great new Thai restaurant in Auburndale! Delicious food and awesome staff. We came here as a group of 16 people on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to arrange for all of us to sit together. They were very accommodating throughout. They have a great lunch special menu that you can order from everyday including the weekends, just excluding holidays. The prices are reasonable and you get an appetizer, salad and entree. They have a variety of options including noodles, fried rice, curry and sautéed dishes. I tried a number of dishes and really enjoyed the flavor for everything. My favorites: 1.
