Came in it was packed mind you it's 9:46PM. I saw past the lines and saw this worker with a smile on his face. I approached him at the counter and said I need two tubs of their amazing mango ice cream (kulfi). He said he was busy but I mentioned I was in a huge rush. He understood because I was also rushing to go home like he was. We had common ground now. Fabulous ice creams with Indian flavor. My kids love it.

The guy who helped me was infinitely patient with me trying flavors out since Indian flavored ice cream was new to me. I had the mango alphonso (which I just learned is a special variety of mango), and the indian sweets (a variation of pistachio) and they were delicious. My husband LOVED the tender coconut flavor, because it had soft bits of fluffy coconut in it. The go-to place for ice cream without eggs. Yeah, I always wondered why would ice cream need egg in it. I'm no chef, I don't know but think its weird. Each and every flavor available at nirvana is true to its name. I get the native Indian fruit flavors more than chocolate or vanilla. Even those are great too. I've heard some great things about Nirvanaah and stopped by after dinner in Sfo. Amazing Indian flavors! I tasted a ton of them - Sitaphal - The fruit taste wasn't predominant, sigh :( Malai kulfi - rich and amazing! Lychee - love! Mango -not super sweet and tasted quite natural Chocolate chip - I should've just stuck to Indian flavors. Saffron pistachio - A great combination and it totally works! I don't remember seeing Tender coconut flavor but look forward to eating that next time. Also, the Mitha paan one too. Used to visit this place for their decent tasting ice creams but I highly repent my last visit . Wanted to get a pistachio sundae but the employee working there advised against it saying that that's a "bad" one , asked for butterscotch and received this response - either eat the tutti fruiti sundae ot nothing else . Well , i am paying for it and I think I have the right to order what I want . Walked out saying if that's the case I'll walk out and he was ok with it too . 3.5 stars Great ice cream, but over priced. Lots of fun/tasty flavors, but we got two ice creams (2 scoops each) and it came to about $12! Even in SF you don't expect to pay this much for ice cream. i've only tried the badshai kulfi drink and the badshai kulfi ice cream faloda. both are ridiculously good. if you want something more with drinking consistency, go with the drink. the ice cream version well, has ice cream in it so its a bit thicker. for the ice cream version: pink kulfi flavored ice cream + falooda (noodles) + syrup +milk = amazing concoction and a party in my mouth. its the closest thing i've had to the real thing. read more

After a good dinner, we were craving for an ice cream. When I searched for ice cream parlors in and around Fremont area on Yelp most of them were closed. Nirvanaah was the only place which was going to be open till 10:30 pm so I drove there to have some ice cream. We got single scoops of Black current and Chocolate. The person who served us gave a little over one scoop. Both the flavors were pretty good. The place is of decent size for an Ice cream parlor. It was clean and bright and there are good number of bar chairs if you wish to have your ice cream there. We will definitely visit this place again to try out other flavors they offer! read more

The icecream is great. The Falooda kulfi is the best and my personal favorite! Disappointed that they can't simply split the cup bcz it comes in a large size and its a lot of icecream to eat. They did it once but now they always have an excuse. Its just a waste because I through the other half out. It won't last long enough to take home and keep in fridge. I always drive by this place and one night decided to try it. The parking is horrible and it seems like no one knows what they are doing. Once I parked I walked into Nirvanaah. It was pretty busy for a Friday night but the line was bearable. It's was pretty dirty and distracting when entering. The Ice cream flavors have the names of the ice cream on a written piece of paper half way falling off. They only had two people working so getting my ice cream took longer. The ice cream was pretty good but not the best I've had. They don't really give good customer service because they didn't even tell me my total or smile. They just wanted to give me my ice cream and have me leave. I don't think I would be returning to this place. read more

My family and I came here for my dad's birthday, and I've gotta be honest, the ice cream is awesome (specifically the Alphonso Mango which is my personal favorite) BUT it's very expensive. The regular flavors like chocolate are $2.99/scoop while the special flavors like the Alphonso Mango are $3.79/scoop. At that rate, you can get a whole pint of Ben and Jerry's. Their service is quick which is nice and it's never too crowded. It's pretty difficult to get a parking spot though and the seats at this place are uncomfortable (for me at least). read more

ewwww, ewwww, ewww.... so late last Friday my son and I decided to go for a froyo run and to our much dismay our local spot closed at 10 pm and we had to check around what was open a bit later. Using my handy and always trustworthy yelp app I came across this place. Well, I have been to and around indian restaurants and I have to say none of them smelled as strong as the restaurant next to this frozen yogurt place. It seemed like it was a local hangout place for the Indian community in Fremont because it was packed!!! Well my son and I walked in here and oh my lord... this place smelled like curry too!!! What ever happened to chocolate and strawberry scents!! Customer service completely sucks... we were not greeted for a good 5-10 minutes so we were able to check out all the flavors they had BEFORE they even came to us. Well, this must definitely be the busiest indian froyo spot around because they hardly had anything left and boy... was I GLAD! Ordinarily I would have been mad but not this time! This way i was able to tell the guy helping me... oh, you are all out of chocolate... my luck! have a great night and walked out. I'm sorry... You're at the right place for Indian flavored ice cream that's creamy and tasty, not freezer-burned, hard or dried-out. They've got super friendly service, too. The first time I stopped by, I didn't know what most of the flavors were. And they were real sweet about describing each flavor and giving out samples! The ice creams sourced from Kwality are made with real Indian fruit and nuts. My favorite flavor is Kulfi. I could eat pints of that stuff! Originally, they were located on the second level of Newpark Mall, next to Jamba Juice, with no dedicated seating. Now they have their very own shop next to Chaat Bhavan, so you can have your ice cream and eat it too! The current location does has its pros and cons - the main entrance to the parking lot is right before the 880 N and S entrances on Mowry Ave, Fremont side, which gets backed up super easily from people going to Tri-Cities favorites Country Way diner and Chaat Bhavan. You can get to the parking lot from the back as well, if you drive around the corner on Blacow, then take the first left. Parking itself is terrible. The small lot fills up fast. Logistics aside, it's worth a trip because of the quality and variety of ice cream flavors. Definitely try it out if you are looking for a wide range of high-"Kwality" exotic Indian ice cream off of 880! read more

Ice creams are very tasty but the service is really bad. They don't handle the customers well. They don't have any rules and policies for the customers. They have the option to taste the ice cream before purchasing which is a good thing. But people take advantage of that. A family of more than 2 people which sometimes ranges to group of 8-10 keep asking for tasting different ice creams and make decisions next to ice cream counter. Other people just keep waiting for the turn. The shop should have some policy of maximum 2-3 tasting and if the customer want some time to decide then leave the ice cream aisle at least and go to the payment counter( they can choose from the list on the wall or from the options which they already checked in the ice cream aisle), so that other people can decide. I don't understand why this mess happens only at Indian shops in US, otherwise same people behave differently at other stores. The store people are responsible to manage this. If they make strict rules for the customers, no one will behave like this. People will still come to their place... because ice creams are really tasty. read more

I'm not sure how this place has a lot of stars, but it was terrible. I ordered a brownie sundae and the brownie was hard as a rock. It was supposed to come with hot fudge, but they scratched it out on the menu-board and didn't have any in the shop. Needless to say, the sundae did not taste good at all. read more
