My friend and I decided to check out Niles as it's been a long time that we explored the area. Upon parking we saw this ice cream place that reminded us both of the Creamery in Fremont where we both grew up. There was a line but it moved fast, we were able to taste and I went for the Marble Black Raspberry with a waffle cone. It was quite delicious and was the staff favorite, the offer favorite that the staff recommended was the Coffee Almond Fudge. I can't wait to come back and try their other flavors.

Plastic strings.

Is everyone used to eating plastic? I guess microplastics are common and we cannot see them. However, visual plastic strings are just not acceptable. The employee shrugged it off as normal because the scoop slices plastic off the container; he already knew. No apologies and acted as though it's acceptable. Said. "I'll let my manager know." My wife and mother-in-law left thinking what kind of place is that. Never to return.

Very cute and delicious little ice cream shop! The setting is cute because it's in the historic part of town and it has nice outdoor seating. The decorations inside are nice but I didn't like the smell of the place, could be whatever cleaning supplies they use. I got a customized banana split and it was well made and all the flavors were great!

Today is Sunday and I decided to have ice cream at Niles down in Fremont. When I walked in, it was small and the seating area is kind of mediocre. I think that's why people prefer not to dine indoors based on what I saw. Ice cream comes in many flavors. When I wanted vanilla ice cream, I don't see it from the display section. So I had to ask and it seemed that some of the ice cream that are available are at the other end of the counter when she scooped it. Vanilla is a very popular ice cream and I think that it's better to be displayed and ones that are underrated should be at the other side. The ice cream is very good though! It's slightly expensive though. They also sell other desserts like cookies and cupcakes, but all I'm here is the ice cream. I'll be trying other flavors when I return especially Ube haha

Been coming here for years, it's small inside and could get really crowded but they have a few tables inside and some outside as well. Most people usually take it to go and walk around the nice little town. Not the friendliest staff but the ice cream is good and they have the best cookies! So buttery and the texture nice and soft, seriously these are the best cookies! The peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. Overall this is a good local ice cream parlor

Took a long time for this review. I have been going here for a couple years now, at least once a month when I want to walk around Niles and catch Pokémons lol Staff are friendly, they offer free samples, and they have plenty of flavors with some seasonal flavors available. The shop is small with only a couple of tables in the store but we are usually enjoying our ice-cream while walking. The ice-cream is Loards ice-cream which is one of the best imo. I usually rotate on the flavors I get. Their scoops are generous so I can usually only order 1 scoop on a sugar cone. Definitely try it out if you are in the area!

My husband and I visited this little hole in the wall because we wanted some genuine ice cream. They did not disappoint. He ordered a shake and I ordered a kid scoop. We also bought a s'mores brownie and they're already made cookies. The cookies were some of the best I've ever had. The place was really friendly and helpful as this was our first time. They had a couple seats that we were able to sit and enjoy our ice cream, which was really special. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their ice creams and it shows in the taste.

Such a pleasant experience! We were treated so nicely and got plenty help deciding from the many options. The banana split was amazing now it's becoming a weekly event for us!

Black & Tan

Came here on a warm night. Totally forgot they serve Loards ice cream, which for those who know, it's some of the best manufactured ice cream around. Service was friendly and fast. Wife got hot fudge Sundae and I got Black and tan. Good portions ....$19 for both which isn't bad these days. We will be back soon

Roasted Almond ice cream

Ordered Toasted Almond and black raspberry ice cream. Both flavors tasted amazing. Roasted almond is less sweet. Also This place is located in the pretty old vibe like Niles town. The place is super crowded. The staff is very friendly and have good customer service. They have wide range of ice cream flavors.

The $1.00 scoop! I love it for my son so he doesn't get pumped up with all that sugar from normal scoops.

They serve a good ice cream at a fair price. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a clean restroom.

Ask the Community - Niles Ice Cream Sweets & Eats

I would like to get ice cream, but I usually see crowds and lines not social distancing at all in front of the shop; is there a way to order online and just walk in to pick up and leave without being in that crowd?

Only one party at a time inside. Distance outside is up to you.

Do they make this ice cream?

Their supplier is Loard's since Treat closed down

Is there sorbet at this place? I can eat ice cream, but my kid is allergic to milk. Is there's an option that is not milk based?

Sherbet is both water demand milk based, they have those. They also have 1 or 2 sorbets (water based) always in stock

I hope they stick around forever!

Looking at the other photos, it appears to be a standard practice. Presentation is important. Customers want value for their money. So being skimpy on the gelato isn't a good thing. (Serving Size: 2/5). Customer service was great. I asked for 2 scoops in a cup for $7, chocolate and cappuccino chip. I told the chatty clerk it was my first time here, and she offered me a free sample. The gelato was good and creamy. Wafers and chocolate drizzle cost extra. Customer service: (4/5). The shop looks dark from the outside. The lights were low, and the AC was on. They have a few tables inside. Only 1 of the 2 gelato cases were was stocked. Ambiance: (3/5). Would I return? Maybe. There's two frozen yogurt shops nearby that will probably get my business. Free parking

Fantastic ice cream for a hot day!…read more Ordering was a breeze with the kiosk outside. There's was a slight wait due to the amount of people ordering. I ordered an Ube Shake which had a nice texture and flavor. To some, it might be considered as an artificial ube taste though. It didn't melt instantly with the hot weather outside! To me, it was a refreshing sweet treat. Only downside is the shake was pretty pricey ($9.95) for a small. Might be back but will most likely come for a ice cream cup instead.

I ordered through the tablet, though you can also order at the register. They seem efficient enough, and my order was served in a short amount of time. One of their biggest draws is their massive range of available flavors in both ice creams and sherbets. I tried their Double Fudge Brownie & Mocha Almond Fudge. While I did enjoy the ice cream, I found it a little too sweet & a little too strong on that gummy thickener texture that some ice creams have. The toppings are also kind of expensive at $1-2 for things like sprinkles or chocolate syrup. If I'm in the area and looking for dessert after dinner, I'll definitely keep this spot in mind, but I can't see myself specifically visiting for their ice cream alone, especially because there's no seating outside of two tall outside tables.

I supported them during COVID and they have such yummy flavors. I cannot complain about them at all. No feedback - if you can, get the black seaseme brittle as that one is a popular flavor!

Not sure how this place has such a high rating???…read more I got a double with Black Sesame Brittle and Blueberry Oreo, and I was especially excited for the black sesame since it's not a flavor you come across often in the area. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The ice cream had a very icy texture with noticeable ice crystals. The black sesame flavor itself was strong, which I enjoyed, but there were barely any pieces of brittle throughout. The Blueberry Oreo, on the other hand, lacked flavor, and I only got about two small pieces of Oreo in the entire scoop. The double was also $9.50, which felt pretty steep considering how small and skimpy the portion was. I literally finished it in a few minutes. Overall, this was just not worth the price for me. I really wanted to like this place, especially because of the unique flavors, but unfortunately, I left feeling pretty disappointed. Wouldn't come back or recommend it to anyone else. Ice cream: 4/10 Service: 6.5/10
