It's more of a grab at your ice cream and sit outside or hang out outside type of place. I mean their seats, but we took our ice cream outside. First time trying a Falooda sweet drink/shake/dessert. I ordered the Badshadi Falooda, which comes with rose water shake topped with basil seeds, falooda (vermicelli) noodle segments, and a scoop of kulfi (pistachio) ice cream in a 12oz cup size for $7.99 The rose water shake was really fragrant, refreshing and flavorful. The basil seeds soak up liquid and emulsify like chia seeds in water, so it gave the drink/shake, a nice added texture. Pistachio ice cream also had some chopped pistachio nuts. Having faloodi (vermicelli) noodles in the drink made it interesting and unique for me as I'm used to this ingredient being used in savory dishes. This Indian or Persian shake/dessert Reminds me of other Asian desserts like Vietnamese Chè (which also utilizes basil seeds in some of their Chè desserts/tonics), Taiwanese Baobing, and Korean Bingsu. They also have so many interesting ice cream flavors - so I'll be back to try their other flavors. read more

This is not your average ice cream shop with the basic vanilla and chocolate. This is an Indian ice cream shop with so many flavors to choose from you'd have to get 2 flavors minimum! I got the rajbhog, an Indian dessert that consists of cottage cheese, dried fruit, and saffron. I also got the sitaphal, soursop. The rajbhog was super fragrant and you could really taste the blend of dried fruits within the ice cream. The sweetness tastes different than the regular run of the mill sugar, the dried fruit sweetness was brought out in ice cream form. The saffron also elevated the aroma of the ice cream as well. You can never go wrong with soursop. It was sweet, tangy, and creamy at the same time in ice cream form. Nirvanaah offers many nostalgic Southeast Asian ice cream flavors. The falooda is one of my favorite here, and when the chicco is available, its delicious, with real chunks of the fruit. The pistachio cardamom is also nice for those who like nuts in their ice cream. The store is usually not crowded, but the parking lot can get tricky. But me loving the traditional flavors of my homeland, I returned with my girl friends. But this time I had a few friends who wore a scarf. Did this change the quality of customer service. Totally disappointed, and sadden I have to post this review. it's a shame such business that is in the heart of Fremont populate by Indian and Pakistani community that you feel stereotype and racism. My negative stars are was based on asking for a sample tasting and the attitude and response. We were not intending to sample and leave. We came to order and enjoy our ice cream. Yes, It's complementary to offer samples. And they did offer sample to the other group ordering. Yes I understand during covid such perks were taken away but many business function are offering same services as before. I can't recall if a sign was posted but seeing the other group sampling we asked as well. I'm not going to single out the person who served us but seeing a Muslim aka hijabi the attitude is totally different. I'm not one to rant but basic customer service and ethics should be a practice of any business. Yes nirvana offers amazing ice cream but if a person can't feel welcome safe and honored as human it's not fair. I mentioned this experience to a few people and sadly some had same experience. Added some rose water and some caramel sauce that the server out on top and it was excellent. They can have five star if they cleaned up more often and kept the area cooler. It was warm inside. Went to the Indian ice cream joint awhile back and I...have problems with it. The ice cream less so. I ordered the Alphonse mango flavor ice cream and I will admit that it's probably one of the best mango ice creams I've had. The problem was that while my boyfriend ordered the Pistachio and Saffron flavored ice cream, it came out slightly melted? Not sure if it was stored properly but that was his one complaint. So just a star off for that. The second star off is a big one. When I went in to order, there were two customers ahead of me who came in together. Both were trying to get their order but I guess some misunderstanding happened and things were delayed. Mind you this was close to closing so it shouldn't have taken as long as it did. When I went up to order, I told the lady who was working that I needed two orders. One for myself and one for my boyfriend. But she kept insisting on wanting to put all our 3 flavors into one cup. I understood what she was trying to get at but I needed two cups due to having two people. This went on for about five minute too long for her to figure out. Her English wasn't bad but communication wise definitely needs help. Then when I told her I needed the saffron and pistachio flavor which was clearly listed (SF+P) she told me that wasn't the right flavor. Like pretty sure SF+P meant what I meant but then she pointed me to the correct one under a different name. All before giving me a foreign language lesson on why it was renamed. Cool fun fact but honestly should be relabeled. There shouldn't be 2 saffron flavors that are the same yet the one with a foreign name is the correct one? Otherwise just one label would be enough. Anyways, all in all, after I finally got my ice cream, I was slightly frustrated with how long things took. Literally took me 15 minutes just to get my order. Such a unique ice cream shop! Tons of flavors I've never even heard of before (Indian influence) and it was amazing to try everything! Everything is creamy and fragrant (the mango one is BOOM in your mouth!!), but I settled for the Falooda Kulfa, which is a light rose flavored ice cream, as well as another that I can't remember the name of (check pictures), but has tons of herbs that aid in digestion after a meal. The ice cream is very creamy and lightly sweetened, though the richness can get a bit too much if you eat it all at once. My two scoops was fit for probably 4 people, or two hungry ice cream hippos, and I had to take it home!
