I love the fact that they have this kulfi place right next to chaat bhavan! I had the blue mango and it was delicious - you could really taste the mango flavor and it wasn't drowned out by sugar/milk. Also, the falooda-kulfi is pretty good and the portions for this dish are huge. The interior is spacious and cheesy in a cute way (with pictures of smiling kids plastered on the walls). Last time i went to this place was with a big group on a sat night. The place had only 3 employees, some of the ppl in the group had to wait a long time(understandable), but finding out the staff didn't know what they were doing was very disappointing, since the place is not cheap, specially the faloodas. I heard about this place and decided to try it on my way back from San Jose. They have a good selection of ice-cream but I wasn't really happy with the service I received. I was helped by a girl who didn't care to greet me or even give me a smile. I asked her to try two different flavors and felt like she was irritated by that. It would have been really nice if they cared to recommend their popular flavors or just even engage somehow with their customers. I hate going to places where there is bad customer service, it makes me feel unwelcome. They definitely need to work on their customer service skills and maybe hire employees that are a little cheerful and have passion for the work they are doing! this place has had the worst ice cream we have had. the butter scotch was stale and the chikoo flavor was nothing but cream and sugar. we had tasted ice creams at the the sunnyvale branch before and they are soooo much better. we actually requested a few friends to meet us here and later were embarrassed to recommend it as the ice creams were useless. read more

Great place to get some falooda! It isn't "real" falooda, but hey it tastes good. The prices are reasonable. Don't get the normal ice cream as the prices are a rip off. If you're going to come here, get the falooda. There are multiple locations all over the Bay Area. read more

This place is very cute. The shop is pretty big and has a lot of options on what to get. I went at around 10 o'clock on a Saturday night and it was pretty packed! I got a falooda and pista kulfi. They were both very delicious. I would like to come back and try some other flavors. read more

A food place should be kept clean and this place is far from that. The front door was dirty, gave them benefit of doubt and went in anyways. The countertops, stools, walls, and windows for ice cream display were all dirty as well. Ice cream quality was ok, nothing great. Went to get some ice cream after going to pick up some food from next door. I ordered the pistachio. The price is horrible for the amount you get! Almost $4 for a small scoop. It would be worth it if the ice cream taste good but this tasted like any other pistachio ice cream I could get at a super market. Very bummed. I was completely unaware that Nirvanaah was an Indian Ice Cream parlor but still glad that there was a decent ice cream place in Fremont. I ended up getting the Blue Mango and Black Currant which were quite delicious and satisfying. For the price, it's not quite as good as some gourmet SF ice cream brands I've had. Nirvanaah is one of those places that doesn't deliver on the interior or design, but the goods are yummy. The real highlight of Nirvanaah is that have a great amount of Indian flavors. They also have some Indian desserts that I'm not too familiar with. I had a two scoop bowl ($5.99). One scoop of blueberry cheesecake and one scoop of saffron and pistachio. For six dollars the portions are fair. The first thing I noticed was that the ice cream has a really nice creamy consistency although a touch icy. It's not as creamy as Mitchell's in SF, but still good. The blueberry and cheesecake has nice little bits of cheesecake. The color looks a little artificial but I can't tell if it's fake or not. I've had better saffron ice cream but this was still good. The pistachios soak up the ice cream so they're a soft chewy texture. The flavors are good but the cream ice creamy texture makes it worth while. ____ A solid ice cream spot with a lot of interesting flavors. I think I'll taste test all the Indian flavors that I'm unfamiliar with when Nivarnaah isn't that busy. Note: Nirvanaah! is located right before a freeway onramp so it might be hard to locate it. read more

So as an East Asian couple we got some "first time customer" looks from staff. They rolled out the red carpet for us. They let us taste like 6 types of ice cream before picking our flavors. Came in, there was only one line with one other person in front of us...10 min later, a bunch of people come in, form their own line, and get attended to before the person ahead of us (mind you, there's only one person working). After about 20 min total of waiting, the guy tells us "I'm sorry, but the line is over there" *gestures towards second line*. I would have given negative if Yelp had an option. The ice cream is the same like in any nirvanaah that doesn't matter I'll tell you why. So a bunch of us stopped by at nirvanaah after dinner for ice cream. Time we spent inside less than 10 minutes. We come out and see one of our car glasses is broken. The car was vandalized. Parked not far from nirvanaah entrance - almost opposite to the main door of nirvanaah to be precise. First thing we do check with nirvanaah guys. The answer we got next was the most irresponsible and disgusting piece of words I have heard. They said "it's quite common here. You shouldn't leave your bags visible inside your car. It happens a lot here. In fact cars parked exactly in front of our door were broken into etc" and much more. We asked if they had a camera or CCTV kind of a setup. They didn't since they didn't want to get involved in any such circumstances- then everyone who's car has been broken into would ask them for footage and help was their reason. Probably the nicer guys were the chat Bhavna guys beside nirvanaah who offered to contact us the next day after seeing the CCTV footage they had. Fine nirvanaah you are not nice enough to help or too lazy to get involved but the least you could do is to hang a board which says "keep your belongings safe.car breakins are common here!" - common sense you see? Valuables lost - a bag couple of iPhones etc. car window broken. But damage caused? A lot more. And people from nirvanaah worsened it. I love something different, and one of the things I'm am always happy to try is ice cream. Nirvanaah is a great place to go. They do have a small selection of the standard flavors you'll find in everyday ice cream shops but it's the flavors they mark as special that get your taste buds going. The group i was with tried a few different things, but I first tried a pistachio and something else (sorry, I don't recall) which was great, but decided on the Mukhwas. They have so many Indian flavours. I am always transported back to India with a mouthful of nirvanah ice cream. We(always a team) tried tuti fruti, paan , sapota, falooda kulfi. Falooda kulfi is too sweet for me but hubby loved it . Paan is different and delicious. Now sapota is fruty and tasted like sapota from our farm back in India.
