This place was recommended by at least 2 people at our hotel. I have no idea what they were thinking. I have never been to a place with self centered and rude service adjacent to terrible food. If you need air conditioning, go somewhere else. We ordered a half bottle of wine that was beginning to turn. After advising the wait staff of the wine. They thought it was a good idea to share the bottle with three other people and proceed to tell me I was wrong. I've been doing this for a long time folks and I have never seen a wait staff share the bottle and try to give it back. Don't even try the food, the gnocchi was dryer than your grandfather's jokes. The muscles were decent but it might as well just have been a soup with more broth than mussels. I typically have a rule if there are three strikes out the gate I quit in an effort to save my money. Our server forgot my husband's drink. The so called lobster raviolis my daughter was looking forward to it has little to no lobsters in it so don't bother to order it, it has pumpkin purée in it. We were seated in a smaller part of the restaurant next to another table for four. The people on the other table made a reservation for 4 but showed up with 6. I appreciate the restaurant wanting to accommodate them however they just put 2 additional chairs at their table which clearly only seats 4. It was a tight squeeze for us but the staff didn't seem to care. Our server, Anna, was polite and attentive. For apps we had the Korean ribs which were tender and delicious. My main entree was the lobster ravioli in a pink cream sauce. You can tell they were homemade. The taste was very good I just wish my food was hotter instead of room temp. My husband had the mixed seafood pasta. Again fresh homemade pasta and it was delicious. My daughter had filet mignon with fries and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Fantastic!! Came here for dinner on the recommendation from our server at lunch, at First Flight, and it did not disappoint! Our server, the bartender, and the chef were great and answered any and all menu questions we had. Cocktails were creative, tasty, and on point! For appetizers we had a cheese plate and their carpaccio- both a great size and well put together plates. The cheese plate had nice portions of 3 cheese, crostini toasts, apples slices, Marcona almonds, and 4 other accompaniments to go with the cheese ( local honey comb, an aged balsamic, cherries, and fig jam). For dinner we had their lobster ravioli special and their Mongolian ribs, both of which chef, Brendan Orr, personally recommended. Both were phenomenal!! The raviolis had a delicate white wine butter sauce and sweet corn which combined for the perfect bite. The Mongolian ribs were mouth watering! The meat fell off the bone and they were served with an Asian slaw that had the perfect amount of cilantro and hint of sesame oil. The flavor combinations were all very well thought out. Brendan was so hospitable and came back to check on us and talk to us about our dining experience. Highly recommend and would give 6/5 stars if we could! read more

Amid the coronavirus pandemic the Florida Keys are opening up with certain restrictions. Restaurants and stores are opening up but require masks in order to enter. Nine One Five on Duval Street has opened with appropriately spaced tables and all staff wearing masks the entire time. The menu is great with lots of appetizers and dishes to share. We shared the grilled octopus and also had the pappardelle with Bolognese and the shrimp risotto. All of these dishes were delicious and beautifully served. We start with Burrata and the signature Chipotle Pork Tacos. We do half portions of the Shrimp Fettuccine and the Tortellini De Casa. Now that had both presentation and amazing flavors!!! For dessert we shared a chocolate panna cotta. So decadent and smooth. The best panna cotta I have had. But the croissant bread pudding....... I must preface this review by saying I normally am not too harsh on servers / bartenders. And I also must say that the food and service here is amazing. As locals my fiancé and I enjoy coming here for great food and really good drinks. They also have a reasonable corkage fee so we will often bring our own bottle of wine and enjoy the evening. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit we had to wait upstairs while our table was being prepared with the couple that was visiting us. No problem at all. A man (didn't catch his name) came to take our order. After reviewing my friends Alabama ID, he deemed it fake. Did not give us a chance to have a conversation, and tried to kick us out for asking what the issue was with the ID. When we went to the bar tender to discuss further, she also told us that "anything the security guard says, go's, and don't talk back to me." We are all 30, well of age, and no one had been drinking previous to this incident. They were incredibly rude, unpleasant, borderline hostile and honestly spoiled the entire experience. Fortunately, we spoke with the (real) manager upon receiving our table downstairs and they were super helpful. Anna, our server, was incredibly pleasant and as mentioned before, the food was unreal. Overall I highly recommend this place, just avoid the upstairs bar. read more

It's been years since we've returned to KW due to the circus called covid and we finally had the opportunity to visit 915. This restaurant is located inside what once was a wonderful Victorian house right on Duval. Reservations are highly recommended although we were fortunate to have been seated without one. Natashia was our server, she is delightfully welcoming and well informed on the menu. Although the 2nd floor was full she easily managed and we never waited for our food or drinks, She seems to be a proficient pro. We ordered the grilled octopus, burrata, Ahi Tuna and the Kurabuta pork along with a mojito and strawberry lemonade cocktails. The octopus is grilled, although on the lighter side, it still was flavorful and came atop a chickpea ragout and accompanied with an amazing arugula pesto sauce that's a must try. The refreshing and creamy burrata cheese comes with thinly sliced, refreshing apples atop arugala greens and sparce orange segments with a wonderful balsamic dressing. The Ahi tuna was amazing. it is prepared in thin slices with thinly sliced jalapenos and comes with an amazing aioli sauce that is both spicy and refreshing. This dish is a must. The cocktails were both amazing, yes we always share tatses, we find it compliments the experience of dinning. The mojito was one of the best I've ever had. We sat on the second floor balcony overlooking Duval street listening to DJ "Ridiculous" George, play some wonderful 80' & 90's tracks that the group of ladies at the bar just loved and we did too!! We picked this restaurant because of its two James Beard Foundation Invitations and overall reviews. Honestly, we were somewhat sadly underwhelmed. I really wish that Yelp allowed you to give half-stars. Were this the case, I would have given it 3.5 stars. Having said this, the quality of the food was a pretty solid 5, so if that's all you're after you can quit reading at this point. The problem was more with the service. There's a slight caveat however. The earliest reservation we could get was for 9:30 so we showed up early to see if we could sit at the bar and maybe snag a table a little earlier. When we went upstairs to the bar itself we were informed that the tables up there were first come-first served and that they offered the same menu as the main dining area downstairs. There were plenty of open tables upstairs so we decided to eat there instead. Consequently, I don't know if the level of service is any better downstairs or if its the same. Like a lot of Key West's finer restaurants, this place is sort of "laid back fancy." In other words, you could show up in a three-piece suit or shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops and not feel out of place either way - which is really nice. But despite the easy-going vibe, a good restaurant should still maintain high service standards. We were attended to right away by the gentleman who explained how the upstairs worked. We ordered our drinks from him and they came out relatively quickly and were absolutely fantastic. So far so good... and then it started slipping. We ordered our appetizers as share plates which came out shortly after we got our drinks. It would have been nice to let us sit for a few minutes so we could unwind and enjoy our cocktails, but whatever, it was fine. What was not so fine was that they forgot to bring out the little plates for the appetizers so we sort of sat there staring at them. We eventually flagged someone down who provided them. There was also no silverware. In keeping with the overall chill atmosphere, the tables are not set rather the silverware (fork and knife) is kept rolled up in paper napkins in a little decorative bucket on the table, which is great, but whoever was in charge of re-filling the little bucket of silverware sort of dropped the ball and let it run down to one set which I offered to my wife. Not a big deal, I'll just ask for more. No one came back to check on our table for a while so I ended up wandering over to another table and swiping a set. Again, no big deal. While we were still n the middle of the appetizers, the mains came out. Now all our various items were sitting there at once. While we ate one thing, everything else sat getting cold. It was more like our appetizers and mains just became four tapas. One of the mains, a seafood soup, came out without a spoon. It took a while to find someone who could give me one. By now, our original drinks had run dry and we were hoping for a second round before finishing our meal. That didn't happen. Our server was pretty much MIA. A busser would occasionally swing by and randomly take away a dirty plate or empty glass but leave other used stuff behind. There didn't seem to be any real method to it. When we finished our meal our server finally came back so our second drink order became our "desert drinks" instead (which were again outstanding). In a nutshell, the food and cocktails were excellent but the service, on the other hand, was lackluster and didn't measure up to the food. As most people know, great service coupled with even average food can still result in a great overall dining experience. But poor service coupled with great food often results in a poor overall dining experience and leaves one feeling let down - which is sometimes what a diner remembers most about a place. That was the case here. I hope this is not their usual standard of service because the food is truly wonderful. The bottom line: The food here is excellent. The location on Duval is awesome. The house the restaurant is located in could use some TLC but it's otherwise nice. The service, at least upstairs, needs some work. read more

It was good, not great. The butternut squash was exceptional. The brussel sprouts were good, but we get better routinely near our home at SIP85, so I am spoiled. The Caesar salad was served in a deconstructed form, pretty but ok flavor wise. Son had the burger which was excellent. Wife had the filet with au poivre sauce and fries. The filet was very tender, the sauce was ok. I had the shrimp pasta. It was very heavy on the pepper an the pasta was over cooked. I ate half of it. We had one glass of sauvignon blanc as well. We had a lot of really memorable meals in Key West. This one was memorable for the price, not the food. I would not go back here, especially when there are so many great options in Key west. We shared the Tuna App. & Beet Salad to start which were also good. My only complaint was that we had to sit at a high top table behind the bar area, but we made the best of it.
