Wow! I only wished we lived closer to this gem of a restaurant, I would frequent it regularly. Our family of 5 enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Service was excellent but it's the food that stood out. Portions were huge and fresh. We really could have just shared 2-3 plates for all of us. We especially liked the cinnamon toast pancakes and the berry crepes. Nina's Brunch was a decent brunch place located in Forney. It was a pleasant experience with some former coworkers of mine. We ordered quite a few items from their menu: Southwest Chicken Wrap - the expectation was a miss as the wrap was served cold. Patty Melt - she enjoyed it for the most part. The salad was yummy. Chicken Fried Steak was great... just wish there was a mashed potato options to dig in to. I'm a grits girl, and theirs was nice. You will rarely catch me this far east of Dallas but Nina's Brunch may just be the reason I come back. First, I love that they have a 'Join the Waitlist' feature on their website so my friend and I knew exactly when to head that way instead of crowding up the lobby. The inside was bustling and busy and seems like they're like this most days, as they are truly just a brunch spot. The extensive menu made it hard to choose what to eat because everything sounded so good and my friend told me she's never had a bad dish here. I opted for the Cinnamon Roll French toast with a side of bacon and my friend got the Loaded Hash Browns which was massive with a side of buttermilk pancakes. We enjoyed every bite and endorse both menu items. Food came out at a decent rate considering how busy they were and service was phenomenal. Our server Amanda was so sweet and attentive and gave great suggestions when it was time to order. Everyone that came to our table was friendly and polite. Found this Extremely busy breakfast/brunch while hanging out with my friend last week. Unfortunately we couldn't get take or place online orders because they were short staffed. So this past Sunday I made it my business to make sure my daughter and I got to experience Nina's cafe style dishes. First things first: the restaurant is only open until 2:30p.m. Secondly: we waited to be seated almost an hour but we'd be told it'll be 35 minutes. Thirdly:they had the perfect high-chairs that supported my Glam baby's backside. These modern chairs are garbage. Thanks Nina's we've eaten at a lot of fine restaurants and the high chairs for infants or toddlers are horribly crafted. Lastly: our breakfast plates were GREAT! read more

Found this cute Lil place thanks to Yelp! So I figured I would give it a try. All I have to say is thank you Yelp! Let me begin by saying it is super cute inside and inviting and the staff are nice. The first time we came it was at lunch during the week and we didn't have a wait even though they were moderately full. Then the second time we came it was on the weekend around 11am and it was packed so packed it was an hour wait. The third time we came it was on a Sunday at 830am and it was already pretty full but we were able to park in front of the door and get booth seating. Now onto the food! My husband and I went here a couple days ago for breakfast. The wait was about 35 min for two on a Sunday around 10 am. Honestly, it was alright. The service was decent. Our waitress (didn't catch her name) was attentive. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and it was all breading with very thin bongy meat and was hard to chew (very disappointing) I got the chicken fajitas with no egg, but of course when our server placed it on the table there was eggs all over on top. If you're in Forney, this is THE PLACE to stop in and have brunch. They serve mimosas (with all kinds of juices) and have an extensive menu. In addition to great drinks and food, the staff is awesome! We had called prior to coming about making a reservation. They said that they don't take reservations but had open tables. We were sat in just a few minutes after we arrived. At the end of the meal, the owner and her son stopped by to ask us how we liked our meal and service. They really take a lot of pride in their restaurant. Nina (the owner) is so cute and adorable. It was nice that they took the time to make sure we were happy. Restaurant is huge and super clean! We were looking for brunch places near us & found this little cute restaurant. It was super packed when we arrived & they immediately added us to the waiting list. It took about 25 mins so that we could get seated. My French toast was delicious & they are not stingy at all with their fruit. I loved how pretty my plate looked. My husbands plate was the Tex-Mex he said it was good but that the hash browns needed to be cooked a little extra. I agree with him because my extra sides were the eggs & the hash browns. The champagne was good and the juice was chilled. I was off to a good start. I took my mother and we decided to try and share a few things. First we ordered the stuffed cream cheese French Toast. It was delicious and more like a dessert. It had a good amount of fresh strawberries. My mouth was very happy as it was tasty, rich and yummy. Next we shared a skillet. I ordered the house one. It was loaded with chicken apple sausage, cheese, mushrooms, spinach, red peppers and hash browns. It's topped off with an egg cooked to your choice. I like scrambled eggs, but mother wanted hard fried. She enjoyed the egg so it was worth the compromise. It was definitely enough to share. We both enjoyed the dish. The pancakes are fantastic. Once you add butter and syrup you will be in heaven. The pancake was cooked perfectly and was fluffy and soft. I was pleased with the food. Overall we had a great experience. We left happy and full. The prices and amount of food are definitely worth it. The pricing is very fair. I will be going back soon to try some other things. Nina's Brunch does a body GOOD! You can even catch Nina walking around making sure that things are running as they should. She stopped and chatted with us for a bit and I love her! We eyed this place a few weeks before trying it. I'm glad we did. Nina's has exceed all of my expectation. The food and service is consistent. My usual is the Buttermilk Pancakes and Chicken. The pancakes are light and fluffy, the chicken breast is golden brown with a light crispy crust and juicy inside. The inside is a country chic cafe style. Is welcoming and cozy. The are tables and booth seating. When you walk in you are greeted by the host. The wait is at least an hour or more on the weekend depending on the time you go. I prefer earlier in the morning dining when there is little to no wait time.. The service has been outstanding. Your food arrives quickly and is always hot and freshly prepared.
