When i first got there, it wasn't very busy so i got seated immediately. My waitress was very good and attentive. She checked my table a good amount to make sure we were okay. The reason i gave this restaurant 3 stars is because I personally believe the food does not match the pricing. The pancakes were really dry (even with syrup) and hash browns were overcooked. Yes! Count me in with the great reviews of this place. Was very busy when we came in on a Sunday.....who on earth would think of having brunch on a Sunday?!?! Either way, we had a party of 11 and they were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. They accommodated us within the hour, and even let us take the table next to ours once that party left, in order to give us more room. Food was pretty goood. I got the Californian eggs Benedict with hash browns. I gotta say I wasn't expecting much in terms of portion size, since most brunch places feed customers like they're little tweety birds. I'm a man and need to be fed like one, and they succeeded!! As far as taste, I enjoyed my dish, as did the rest of my party. My brother and his family chose Nina's to have breakfast at based on reviews and location. My husband and I met them on Sunday morning and surprisingly we did not have to wait to be seated! This seems like a very popular place to have brunch since it was extremely packed! We were seated in the back and even though we had our own booth, we felt very close to the family beside and behind us. My husband and I decided to share the Two By Four breakfast. It came with two pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips, and two sausage patties. I also ordered a caramel latte. The eggs, pancakes, and bacon were good, but nothing to rave about. The sausage patties were not good in my opinion. They were a little too crispy and dry for my liking. The caramel latte was strong, so that's a bonus! Our waitress was very fast and friendly. The food is amazing, highly recommend the French Toast, the crepes, and or pancakes, they also have a great gluten free option for the pancakes. The coffee is amazing, grab a cup, the menu has some great options. If you want a big breakfast go with the 2x4, for a smaller option go with Cowgirl. For something sweet do the French Toast with all the berries or crepe. For lunch go with the Ruben or the monte cristo. If you come to Forney this is the place. read more

Just happened to be in Forney and we always look for unique places to try. It was a Sunday, so had to wait 45mins, was fine with that. Open space, nice decor, clean, and comfortable. I had coffee, really good and refilled promptly. I ordered the Monte Cristo and my husband the Breakfast Skillet with a pancake. I have noticed a trend in food arriving cold. The skillet cheese wasn't melted nor was mine on the sandwich. The waffle fries were seasoned but hardly warm, real bummer. To be honest I find it hard to critique cold food. read more

My wife and I have been to Nina's numerous times and they have NEVER disappointed! The menu is large and varied with a variety of eggs Benedict's, different types of French toasts, breakfast skillets, and even a nice selection of mimosa's as well. They also serve all the standard breakfast fare. We have tried several different items on the menu and all have been delicious and plentiful. Nina, the owner, is almost always there. She is engaging with her customers, especially the regulars. My wife and I have been there many times but I would not consider us "regulars". Nevertheless, she always recognizes us and comes over to say "hi"! We will happily return to enjoy great food and service and to support a local entrepreneur. Way to go Nina! read more

As Nina's is running at just 50% capacity we got super fortunate when one of the worker ladies was kind enough to snag us from the entrance after the first person we checked in with said the wait may be an hour to 1:45 minutes!!! We did already put our names on the wait list about 10 minutes prior but she whispers "hey if people aren't here when they're called I'm just seating those who walk-in" SMART, from what I see in previous reviews they may need to get their online/walk-in system together before they upset a lot of people. Side note: We got distracted by some girl scouts just beforehand so beware they are around and sold out of thin mints lol! Long story short this place is clean and well kept, it was lovely to have the option of a paper menu and not have to always deal with a QR code (believe it or not, some of us don't enjoy being glued to a mobile device 24/7). Nina herself stopped by to greet customers and have a chat, she was lovely, unfortunately the waiter who served us was one of those guys who never scans the room (an easy way to check tables: especially if you don't have a full dining room) and he was forgetful (had to remind him several times about simple things like water, wave him down to get what we needed etc... so I hope next time we go- if we have him this issue might have been addressed. We were mindful of not lingering too long so others could get a table and enjoy what was a classically tasty brunch. We enjoyed a scrambled skillet and my Californian eggs Benedict with tomato, avocado was perfectly prepared and presented. I did ask for very well done hash browns so he told me they would take a bit longer as he made the call to send them back before they came to me first; keep that same energy when you follow up on your tables too bro! New place in town and has very good brunch food. Nina herself seems to always be there and always helping out busting tables and going around greeting everybody. Only bad thing I can say is, they don't seem to have down there to go orders. I've personally seen people bring back in there food because it was not there, or something was left out of their order. So if you order to go, be careful. You also can't substitute crepes or French toast for the pancakes on the entrees which is a bummer. read more
