NimNim has become my mortal enemy. In the interest of making this a quick PSA, the summary is: they ruined this brand new ($600) dress I wanted to wear for NYE. They picked it back up, did stuff to it without my consent, said they "double checked" it to make sure the discoloration was gone, but it's still very noticeable and unwearable. So upset. It was literally brand new and they ruined it, then tried to gaslight me into saying they fixed it. Maybe hoping I wouldn't check? Idk it's super noticeable so can't even try to make sense of it. Please spare your garments and do not send your dry cleaning here. This is my first experience with them and I will never go back. The items I sent were pristine, but the buttons came back broken, cracked, and chipped. I only included three photos but nearly all of the buttons were damaged in some way. The garment bag they came back in also had an unpleasant odor that made everything feel unclean. The website does not accurately track your order, and therefore the notifications don't come as they should. The pick up and drop off is convenient, but there are far better options that do the same with competitive value. Absolutely not worth the money and sadly ruined my items. read more

Updating my previous review. The supervisor contacted me directly and provided a credit for the lost pants. He made this error right. He stated they are working on better communications. He was honest and wanted to make this situation better. I appreciated all his efforts and doing what he said he would do. We will use them again!!! Previous review: They lost a pair of my husbands pant in December and unfortunately did not want to deliver the remaining items until several text messages and calls. The current lack of communication, the avoidance of texts and calls to follow up has left me very frustrated. Therefore I need to update my first review. We used to have a laundromat across the street that closed. The next closest was several blocks away. (Try schlepping 30lbs of laundry in the cold!) So we tried the laundry service. They were prompt with pick up. We scheduled delivery for 4-6p, but they called us at 1:30p already at our door! No issues with our clothes. They did a fantastic job of folding! (I had a dress in there that was folded-I unfolded it and no wrinkles-who does that? lol) We a LOT of laundry, so we had a big bill, but it was so worth it! Definitely using NimNim again. read more

Used Nim Nim for the last time today. I don't know if they've had a change in management, but the customer service has become unacceptable over the past two years. I put in an order for dry cleaning (two day turnaround) and alterations (3 day turnaround). Both delivery days passed without a delivery. We called, emailed, and even drove out to their office because my child was leaving the country soon and needed her clothes back. NOT ONE RESPONSE. Today, the manager, Ria, said it was because it was the weekend, but their own app offered these delivery dates. She said I should have ordered RUSH service. I certainly would have, but why would I order RUSH if I didn't need it? Earlier this year, I sent 4 items for dry cleaning on February 19th. 3 items were delivered back on February 21st, but they didn't get the 4th item back to me until March 8th. November and August, similar situations where I emailed and texted them about a late delivery, but no response. For full disclosure they offered me a 50% refund on this most recent order, which I accepted because now I have to ship this clothing overseas. read more

They picked up my boots for repair and have not returned them and have ignored multiple emails from me. I just want my boots back. UPDATE- I previously wrote a 1 star review and am now editing it to 4 stars. Nim nim contacted me and apologized for the long wait and promptly returned my boots. The work done on them was excellent and they did not charge me for the work as an apology for the prolonged wait. Although in the end the pick up, work and drop off took more than 3 weeks, which I hadn't expected, the work was very good and the pick up and drop off were convenient. I would consider using them again, especially for items I wasn't in a hurry to get back. read more

I would NEVER recommend using this service. My experience started with an immediate lack of responsiveness when I called the phone number on the website 3 times over the span of an hour with no response. The chat bot on their website also does not work, so I decided to just use the online order system to place a pickup for my 2-piece suit and dress shirt to be dry cleaned before a wedding. After booking, I received no notification or confirmation before getting a phone call out of the blue at 9am the next day from someone saying they were at my door to get my laundry. Two days later I get an email of an invoice to pay accompanied by a text message (from the same number on their website that refuses to answer phone calls) asking me to pay the invoice before they can drop off my laundry. I replied asking if it was possible to see my clothes before paying the invoice as I would with any other laundry service. This is a $700 suit and I'd like to know that it was done properly before paying for the service. They then just declined to respond to multiple texts until I paid the invoice and got the response of "Thank you, we will drop off today". They did not in fact drop off that same day. Nor did they answer my texts/calls asking for any estimation of a drop-off time. I work from home and am constantly on calls or busy so having an estimated time frame at a minimum would have been nice. Instead, they dropped off my suit to the front desk of my apartment building - no phone call, email or text alert. The lack of communication and customer service from NimNim is HORRENDOUS and I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

The customer service for this company is an absolute joke. I sent in a few items to get dry cleaned and when the items returned, one of my items was missing. When I submitted a request to inquire about what happened, turns out the item was lost when it was being delivered. I tried repeatedly to see if they would replace the item or simply respond to an email but have gotten the run around. After Akshay, the co-founder, explicitly said they would provide a refund for the price of my item, I haven't received neither a refund nor have I been able to get in contact with anyone. My item was initially lost in December, it is now June and the issue still hasn't been resolved. If you can find an alternative to NimNim, I highly recommend it. Yes - spelling your own company name correctly in emails is a pretty basic requirement for a "professional service". In brief: I have used NimNim once and will never use them again. I'd strongly discourage anyone reading this from patronizing their business. In long: Having just moved to a new building I wanted a shirt, suit, and a few other items dry-cleaned. NimNim was on our concierge's recommended sheet and I went with them because they were cheap. Ah, what an error. In my order I stated that my suit jacket had a large crease on the back due to a previous dry cleaning fiasco. My order was picked up and returned quickly. All was well. Then I saw the results. First, the suit jacket had not been ironed at all - it was as creased upon return as when it was sent. See attached picture and decide for yourself if this was perhaps easily missed. Second, and much worse, a brand-new $100 white shirt was returned with what I can only describe as a burn (picture attached, perhaps someone else can label it better!) and is ruined after being worn once. Though I can afford dry-cleaning I can't afford to throw away single-use $100 shirts. I was headed to a wedding and went ahead and risked ironing the jacket myself but contacted NimNim about both issues. This was where I learned about their reply-to error, which I brought up to them and they have not corrected. (Note that in a separate issue their app does not use universal links and instead of defaulting to your phone's mail application it will always redirect to Apple Mail. Hopefully after spelling their business' name correctly NimNim will also learn to use 'mailto:') I sent my email on August 23 and was promised a swift reply. I submitted another ticket on August 27. Finally, on August 29, NimNim replied and asked me when they could pick up the goods to relaunder them. Yes, their solution for my already-ironed jacket and ruined shirt was to relaunder them. On August 31 I replied and described the situation again. It is now September 23 and I have heard nothing from them. Based on my experience, I do not recommend the NimNim service for any purpose in any capacity. read more

I used NimNim for the first time only bc my apartment was promoting it and it sounds convenient. I put in an order for dry cleaning a comforter which was $30 (I had a first order discount so I paid $20). There's a delivery fee of $4 with each order I didn't know about until after I paid. After NimNim picked up my order, I placed another order for my jacket.. but then I started to read the yelp reviews which were pretty bad...and I don't want my jacket destroyed or lost so I quickly canceled the order which they were good about. I just received my comforter and it be smellin funnnky. It smells like my college dorm laundry machine basement. I've used other laundry services in the area but I was on a time crunch and NimNim delivers the next day so that's why I chose NimNim. The app is really easy to use and its definitely convenient as they pickup/deliver to wherever you are.. on time too. But I don't think I'll be giving this another chance. No clue where my stuff is, why it hasn't been delivered, or when it's getting delivered. To "save time" not walking to a from the dry cleaners..... by the time you get set up on the app, send multiple messages about the late pickup, and now sending multiple messages about a delivery for yesterday that hasn't been delivered plus the mental aggravation of managing this unreliability.... I ordered dry cleaning and the shirts look like the were washed and steamed instead of dry cleaned. I'm VERY disappointed with this poor service here are some pictures!! When I get shirts dry cleaned they should arrive crisp and well folded and cleaned. Instead then looked kinda mangled no crisp lines!!! This is not my level of service. I tried to give this business the benefit of the doubt because they are friendly. But they are consistently unreliable. I don't think they've ever arrived on time for pickup. Their prices are competitive, so I thought it might be worth it to pay less. But it's just not. They often arrive several hours late for pickup. Sometimes they never show up at all (which is surprisingly stressful) and then show up randomly the next day. I don't know what their issue is, but I hope they figure it out. This place is absolutely godsent, I cannot emphasize enough how great and communicative their owners are. I have been using them since early November 2020 for laundry services and it's been amazing. The app is SUPER user friendly, and it updates your order in real time, very smooth interaction and allows you to pick every detail from machine temp to detergent, they have UNSCENTED detergent as a choice for my fellow allergic friends out here. The services itself is super well done from washing to folding, my clothes return properly folded and organized and they even treat my Muay Thai boxing gear as it should, they even roll my hand wraps (if you fight you got tears in your eyes with that one). I also love the range for drop off and pick up times, very accommodating if you have a crazy schedule. I live in a building without a lobby so it's a bit tricky for the drivers but they are friendly, patient and accommodating, they always confirm your service at drop off and pick up. All the times I've had minor issues, the owner called/texted and addressed immediately and checked in several times to make sure I was a happy costumer. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I put in an order for pick up and they are usually at your home for pick up within a couple hours and your clothes are returned to you usually in 24 hours or less! Clothes are always in perfect condition. Never had any kind of shrinkage or damage. Folding looks like they could be put on a stores shelf. Could not recommend anything better than NimNim. I am completely tired of hiring Nim Nim services and end up my night with a headache. Every time I do laundry with them something happens when I get my clothes back. First they lost a bege sweater, second some white socks, panties and pijamas got back dark grey instead of clean white, and now they lost a skin color push-up bra and my white pieces look dirtier - again grey. I think they do not take the proper care with their customers. The service is fast and not very expensive however, getting headache and spending hours complaining about their services is not worthy at all. I'm attaching a photo of two white piece that look darker - like light grey - and you can see that in one of them is also missing a button from the back pocket. Plus a black shorts that I've been washing for over a year myself and nothing happened. Concierge pickup/drop off dry clean. I wasn't able to find my dry clean with my concierge so I reached out to all their means of communication to follow up (this is after NimNim took my payment via app and claimed that dryclean is dropped off at the front desk). The way I reached out to business include Facebook, in-app help, call, and email. I didn't hear back from them until the next night when I texted the owner. He talked to me and promised to get me the information I need (which is when and to whom the dry clean was dropped off to), but I didn't hear back since. It turns out my dry clean was delivered with no problem so i am lucky (the temp front desk didn't find them at the right place the night before). But I wouldn't trust them if I really run into an issue. Because thru all modes of communication, I didn't hear any answer/solution back from the business. I had to do the investigation while at work during the day by calling both my front desk manager and the business. And the app charges your card regardless whether or not you, the customer, actually received your dry clean. If I am using any service, not only they need to do their core business well, the customer service piece needs to step up. And frankly, the latter is what makes the difference in the end. read more

I used NimNim regularly for close to 2 years. I began using NimNim for my families laundry needs when we lived in Downtown Boston. We continued to use NimNim when we moved to Brookline Village. They were always professional and prompt. They washed our regular laundry, pressed my dress shirts, got the stains out of my daughters play clothes (including a dress or three), and even dry cleaned my wife's dresses and work clothes. We never had an issue with their service or with their delivery/pick up. I highly recommend their service. I have since moved out of their service area and can't find anything like them where I live now. So my only critique is that they need to expand further South of Boston! read more

Very pleased with the service from NimNim. I use them almost weekly. Turn around time is usually one business day for basic dry cleaning or launder and press shirt service. Shoe repair service is a bit longer; I think they are sent out. NimNim team is great at alterations too. I've sent in many items to have the sleeves or legs shortened. They are normally back in 2-3 days and are very well tailored. Prices are competitive for the market and the app is easy to use. My only suggestion for improvement is that the crew write back the estimated return date for the order if it will take longer than the requested return date in the app. But after a few orders - you get the hang of the turn around time.
