Went here for my sister's birthday for lunch time and what an experience. It felt especially elevated since we had a private room to ourselves. The cuts were rich so certainly you gotta pace yourself . I can't remember having such an amazing meal like this in a long time. I'm not too much of a fan of tartare, but this was absolutely snapped.

This place is hyped up. I have to say I was quite excited to try this place, since I've been to the sister restaurants. This one is the worst one in my opinion. The ambience is quite dark. We were seated on the first floor behind the bar. The bathrooms were disgusting. It reeked, was super hot and the floors were sticky. Not something you would have expected for this price range. The best thing about this place has to be the mid wagyu and meats. The sides were terrible. The best side was the lobster, but that needed a lot of lemon juice for flavor. All the cooked food that came from the kitchen was barely lukewarm. The server was kind enough to heat it up. The sushi/sashimi was like supermarket grade. Another turnoff was that they kept trying to sell the chubby membership. I might have considered it if the food wasn't terrible. If we tell you we will think about it, please don't ask us again and again.

I've visited the LA location before which I thoroughly enjoyed and was really excited to try their NYC location! *AMBIANCE* We came here for a special occasion and made reservations beforehand. We took an elevator up where we were seated, where they have a communal dining area as well as private rooms. Overall, the look and feel seems very similar to the LA location with its dark mood lighting. *FOOD* This is meat paradise. We tried the unlimited grand wagyu menu ($158 mon-thurs // $168 fri-sun // 100 minutes) which has a wide assortment of starters, seafood, specialty wagyu dishes, sides and desserts. Everything in the grand wagyu box was really tasty and some cuts just melt in your mouth. I also really enjoyed the lobster tail and the wagyu ribeye yakisuki. *SERVICE* Service was good and attentive. Our server also explained how the menu worked given it was our first time at this location and he also made recommendations on how many dishes and what to order. They also cooked all the meats for us in a separate area. If you are looking to indulge in a decadent meat session, this is the place to be!

Finally tried NIKU X. I've been thinking about trying the LA location for a while but never had time to. I got the Unlimited Grand Tasting Menu for $168 and went in very excited, but it quickly fell short. They ran out of several items the night I went (Sunday), including caviar, king crab legs, and wagyu tallow shishito peppers, along with a few others. The waiter explained it was the end of the week so many items were out by then. Unfortunately, I was only told after ordering. Paying $168 plus tax and tip -- easily around $225 per person -- I felt a bit cheated. The meat cuts were good, but after a couple of rounds the fatty portions became too much. I understand Wagyu is meant to be rich and fatty, but for me personally it was overwhelming after a while. The ambiance is cool and gives off a speakeasy vibe. Service was good as well -- they were attentive throughout. Would I return? Maybe not. Would I recommend it? Yes, if it's your first time and you want to try Wagyu. However, I would likely recommend the regular tasting menu instead of the Unlimited Grand Tasting. At that price point, and with the possibility of missing items, it didn't feel worth it.

Lets get RIGHT into it: Niku X is the kind of place that makes you stop halfway through dinner and wonder if you somehow wandered into a luxury food fever dream. We did the unlimited Wagyu and Seafood, and it was completely absurd in the best possible way. I have not eaten a ton of wagyu in my life, but this meal absolutely changed that. Every round felt like a new flex: multiple lobster tails, rich wagyu tartare, incredible sea bass for someone who does not even usually eat fish, and cut after cut of wagyu so buttery and tender it practically vanished on my tongue. I am not exaggerating when I say I felt like I was chasing the flavor of the meat before it dissolved. That is how melt THROUGH your mouth this whole experience was. The drinks were out of this world, the meal was wildly memorable, and the service pushed everything over the top. Our server was AMAZING, and not just in the standard polite, attentive way. He genuinely guided the experience and made ordering feel effortless, which turned a huge unlimited menu into something exciting instead of overwhelming. It felt like he was helping craft the meal in real time, and that made the whole night even more special. This is the kind of place I already know I will come back to for another special occasion. Truly one of those dinners that stays with you. 11/10. Literally: steak too juicy, lobster too buttery.

Not bad. We did the unlimited experience. My husband liked the meat - I thought it was only ok and most of it was too fatty (just a personal thing ). I did really enjoy the hand rolls - and the sea bass wasn't bad. The Norwegian king crab was pretty poor quality so I didn't have much but it is king crab so my husband got a refill. The second batch was admittedly better than the first. I loved the free kimchi to start so much so I kept getting refills and then they ran out - it was helpful to cut against the fat of the meat. Agedashi tofu and shisito peppers weren't bad - would pass on the asparagus. Yuzu and matcha cheesecake were also both decent. Service was ok. My water was constantly empty but they did stop a decent amount of times asking if we wanted to order more. They must have improved from other older reviews bc we didn't find an issue with timing for asking for more food. Also the inside was unbearably hot, even for me and I always run cold. Overall, glad we tried it but not sure I'd return.

I was really looking forward to dining at Niku X. While there were many things that I enjoyed, the overall experience left me disappointed. We went for a weekday dinner, which made it a little less pricey. The food itself was excellent. I enjoyed the A5 Wagyu Nigiri, Wagyu Box, A5 Ribeye Thick Cut, Grilled Lobster Tail, Toro with Ikura, and the sashimi. It was high quality and nicely presented. The location is also a plus since it was right in Herald Square. However, my experience would have been much better if I hadn't felt so rushed. When I made the reservation, it wasn't stated that our dining time would be limited due to the kitchen closing at a certain hour. Had I known in advance, I would have planned accordingly. Instead I felt pressured to eat quickly so I wouldn't miss out. At one point, I was eating so fast that I felt like I was in one of those Coney Island Contests where you have to stuff your face before the time runs out. I didn't get to fully relax and enjoy everything. On top of that, they knew it was my partner's birthday, and there wasn't even a small acknowledgement- no candle on a dessert, no complimentary treat, not even a simple happy birthday from the waitstaff. For a restaurant of this standard, I was very disappointed. Overall, clearer communication about time constraints and a little more attention to special occasions would have made a big difference. Any small gesture would've gone a long way in creating a better experience.

It was my 2nd time here. Food was good, and service was friendly. The menu changed and is smaller. They removed the fried rice, yaki udon, and other items. On Saturday, AYCE is $168 for 100 minutes, which was worth it for the variety and quality. This time they showed us the ingredients and took them away to cook rather than in front of us where the meat smell would permeate. Everything was tasty, fresh, and rich from the wagyu to the seafood. They have yakiniku sauce, ponzu, and seasoned salt. They cut the crab leg shells so it's easier to take the meat out. The wagyu box and lobster tail were the most memorable. Cocktails were strong and good at $20 and up. There's a coat check. The servers forgot some items but to be fair a lot was ordered and they fixed it if we asked them to check on it.

Great food and great drinks. I ordered the Unlimited Seafood & A5 Yakiniku BBQ Experience. Both the seafood and meat options were great, and each item came out promptly upon ordering.

Had an amazing experience at Niku X. From the moment we sat down, everything felt elevated and well thought out. The food was incredible--high quality, perfectly prepared, and worth every bite. Big shoutout to Server Kay and Server Mikey. Both of them were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the experience even better. They struck that perfect balance of being present without hovering, and their recommendations were spot on. If you're coming here, definitely ask for Kay or Mikey you'll be in great hands. I'll definitely be back.

Went to NIKU X at the beginning of this month for boyfriend's mom birthday. I must say this dinner was incredible and the customer service was beyond impressive. Alex was our server the night that we had dinner, he literally answered all of our questions ( there were a lot of questions too) and served us the entire night legit never left our side. Alex was the best server I have ever had in my life at a restaurant! The food was incredibly fast to come to our table and insanely fresh. We loved everything that was served to us that night. Oh gosh I forgot to mention, they served incredible drink!!!! No need for me to say this but this restaurant is beautiful but you may already know that from social media. Legit a 10/10 when it comes to service, ambience and food. I definitely will go again when I'm in NYC!

I think this place is good value if you're interested in tasting a lot of different things at a set price. But our experience wasn't so good, and after the meal we did not feel so well for 2 days. The place was pretty quiet when we went there. However, we waited 10 mins to be seated as our server was not ready. Then when we ordered, we were told the unlimited options do not include sides, which contradicts with the menu itself, but I didn't press coz it's not important to me, but it's strange. The meat box was supposed to be the highlight but the cuts were not so good. The skirt steak was very chewy, and the short ribs super fatty. The beef tongue was super thin even though it's described as "premium thick cut" on the menu. The dessert choices were matcha and yuzu cheesecakes, but only matcha cheesecake was available. We were given a crepe cake choice and we accepted it. We waited a long time for the desserts, and when they finally arrived, the crepe cake was still FROZEN. I understand that these restaurants get their desserts delivered frozen, but that's not how you're supposed to serve it. We commented on it and the server nonchalantly said "Yeah, coz it was in the fridge". Oh thanks, I didn't know that. Like I said both of us did not feel well for 2 days after the meal. It wasn't exactly food poisoning but I know I won't be rushing back.

What an amazing experience!! It was truly an unforgettable memory. I came with a total of 4 people to celebrate a friend's birthday. We chose the unlimited wagyu and seafood option. The servers were super friendly and walked is through all the food. The place is very well decorated and pretty. The food quality were superb and top notch. For the unlimited wagyu, they have to serve every cut first and then we can order more. Since it was wagyu, I got full pretty quick. The wagyu melts in your mouth and it tastes amazing. The seafood were delicious such as the lobster tail and sashimi. We told our server that we were celebrating our friend's b'day and they came in with a slice of cake and sang the bday song. It was a fantastic night and meal. We are definitely coming back!

We didn't take the receipt but the credit card transactions showing the amount we paid for the dinner.

Jeanine was excellent; she quickly understood our time constraint, guided us to the right dishes, and kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu. Thank you to our phenomenal server Shamim. Your service was really over the top stellar. Soon as you sit at the table, menus are placed. Complimentary delicious bread, water, and warm hand towels are provided to clean your hands. The seafood buffet is $168 and you can order everything, as many times as you like. The buffet is contactless. The food is served to you at your table. Because the food is served in a manner that is based on a shared dining experience. All guests at the table have to order either buffet or Prix Fix menu. My order of Rockefeller oysters, and clams were simply the best I ever tasted. The way they were prepared is the only way I want to taste them. The next dishes they brought out were fried shrimp, sizzling shrimp scampi. Soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce. At this point, my body was in a foodie coma! After a brief clean up of our table. I left our dining room, and went to the ladies room. When you walk in the ladies room, between the floral scent, and decor you are in awe of the details, the bathroom was dreamy. Back at the table our two servers set up a Picasso style dessert with hand drawn chocolate with the ice cream and a delicious cheesecake. Thank you for the birthday wishes, and celebration for my friend. José out did his self with his talented art skills. Special thanks to the Manager Sam for stopping by every table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It was beyond our satisfaction. Tip: Make reservations even if your a party of two. Be sure all guests arrive at the same time. Tip#2: The upstairs level is perfect for large gatherings, corporate events, holiday events, bridal, baby showers, bar/bat mitvah's, and industry events.

LOVE the rococo inspiration. The opulent decor made me feel like I'm dining in a palace. Most of the tables are set up in private rooms too so you can have your own space for your feast. The all-you-can-eat menu is made fresh to order, not sitting out like a typical buffet, which makes a huge difference in quality. I loved the seafood selection: lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, octopus, fish, calamari ... you name it. What really stood out to me was how much variety there is. Even the steak, fried rice, noodles, lamb, and veggies were delicious. The service was super attentive and quick with bringing out dishes. The price is definitely a splurge, but worth it for the experience and high qualit. It's not just a meal, it's a whole vibe. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, over-the-top dining experience in Times Square!
