I have shopped at numerous stores not just inside inside the Desert Hills Outlets, and as a veteran I have been treated well and always granted a military discount with my old military ID. The Nike Outlet today rejected my military ID and pretty much said I'm not a veteran because I don't have a current ID. It's as if I didn't serve 8 years, 3 tours if I don't have a current ID to prove it. I guess I gotta carry a DD214 in my pocket. My scars, my sacrifice wasn't enough. This is how veterans are treated at this store and I would not recommend anyone who supports their vets to shop there. read more

I have owned Nike shoes for my feet for 30 plus years. Your feet take you everywhere. I have really bad feet I have arthritis in my feet and they are also flat. Many shoes out there hurt my feet. Nike have really great shoes but don't stand behind there shoes. There customer service sucks. They make 100's of millions of dollars every year. I have a big bubble in my shoes on the bottom. I have never had that happen to me before. I went the store they didn't want to do nothing about it. They told to talk to customer service at the corporate headquarters. They told me to go Cabazon outlet's. Then they put me on hold then hung up on me. I called back they said they didn't record of my call. So I had re explain my self again. Then they said another department a hold of me but they never did. They told me they might email if they feel like they can do something about it. My daughter-in-law asked the salesgal, Kathie or Kaftie. Could not read her name well. She is pregnant and was working on 1/14/20 @ 6:15 P.M. She was not willing to help, and answered my daughter-in-law in an unfriendly manner. She never bothered to ask me when I was next to her if I needed help. She looked miserable and had a resting bitch face. If she hates customer service, maybe she needs to quit. First and last time we will shop there at Nike in Cabazon. read more

***This Nike store has rude customer service (at least on this shopping experience), which probably stems from how customers occasionally and intentionally (or not intentionally) steal merchandise*** While shopping for Nike shoes today, a Nike Factory Store employee came up to me and repeatedly asked me if I was returning shoes because I had a Famous Footwear shopping bag with two pairs of Nike shoes and two pairs of dress shoes. When I said no, he asked again because I had Nike shoeboxes in my bag and the bag was not a Nike bag; therefore, the shoes must either be shoes I was returning or (as he was subtly implying) stealing. The employee eventually apologized and the apology seemed sincere. I was going to talk to the manager about it to provide some staff training tips on how to properly manage this kind of customer experience, but given that the store was busy, I did not want to be a burden. Also, apparently as I was leaving, a customer stole some merchandise by taking a merchandise bag that wasn't his. I'm not sure if he did this on purpose or not, but Nike staff got Security involved. The customer was long gone by then though. Because of this situation, the manager seemed to have his hands full. The store does not appear to have any merchandise sensors so it probably does make it easy for customers to steal merchandise so I can understand why staff members made be on the look for potential shoplifters. Still, I think there is probably a better and friendlier way to find out if a customer is shoplifting. For instance, after I informed the employee that I wasn't returning the shoes, he could have asked "It looks like you have done a lot of shoe shopping already, is there anything else you are specifically looking for..." And from that, the conversation would have resulting in me saying that I bought the shoes from Famous Footwear. In the end, he would have had to take my word for it. Or maybe being more upfront and professional by simply saying "Excuse me sir, unfortunately, we have had a lot of thefts here recently. I see you have Nike shoes from Famous Footwear. If you don't mind, could you please show me your recipt for the merchandise?" But the reality is that if the store does not have merchandise sensors, that might be the best a store employee can do to protect store merchandise without potentially creating an unpleasant customer experience. In terms of the merchandise, they did have a good selection of shoes and the prices were reasonable. I would consider shopping here again, but probably only if I bought Nike shoes beforehand from Famous Footwear just to see if I would get the same poor customer experience again (and thus cementing my decision to shop or not shop here in the future). The Nike Factory Store is located in the Desert Hills Outlets, which has its own free parking lot. It can be difficult finding open parking spaces during peak shopping periods. read more

I love the Nike outlet. I used to pass by it every time I passed that area and would never stop (thought the prices would be to high). Well, my brother shops at the outlet all the time. He is in a much higher income bracket. He bought me something for Christmas from the outlet in 2016. I took it back to exchange it, and I've been going back regularly . I love the sales. I love the Nike membership program. The customer service is Great. I have never been disappointed with the customer service. I am a Huge Discount shopper, Online and in stores. I was really surprised with this store. For some reason, I don't have a lot of NIke products in my possession. A few items here or there but not more than a handful of items. The sales they had here over the holiday weekend were great. 40% off of already marked off merchandise = GREAT deals. From golf attire to running gear, they had something for everyone. The store was a mess but I was willing to overlook it with the great savings we were getting. Nike is worth checking out when you're visiting the outlet malls. We always stop here when my son is in the car. He's 18 and we have been shopping here for over 10 years every time we drive through the area. He loves coming here because we can find shoes that are affordable and fun. He loves Nike and only wears Nike shoes, so this really a great stop. The customer service is the very best! Probably not the best thing to have a Nike outlet so close to me now! That said, it's pretty standard as far as Nike outlets go. Selection is hit or miss, as is pricing. Sometimes you score big, sometimes you don't. If you're keen on this sort of thing, it's always good to check whenever the new season of merchandise is rolling through (ie, fall to winter, winter to spring, etc.) as the previous season's merchandise is always going to be marked down considerably. So when I did go, I was floored by the level of customer service offered to me by one of the ladies working there. I mean, you're all making $10-ish an hour, so I'm not exactly expecting you to jump through hoops to help me. I took the kids to buy shoes thinking they wouldn't have what my kids wanted,and to my surprise they had shoes galore. I even brought myself a pair and one for mom. Out of all the glorious outlets at Desert Hills, this is the one store that truly feels as if it's not dealing with some bastard-outlet-child demons. It's big and well laid out and packed to the gills with tons of stuff at amazing prices. Their women's apparel section can floor shoppers. Types of shoes are easy to find. They even have tons of kids' shoes. And, more than that, they have COOL shoes. They have real Air Force Ones. They have stylish running shoes. They're not throwing crap at you and telling you to be happy about it because, hey, at least it's cheap. I got a brand new pair of runners that I am OBSESSED with. So cute, so comfortable, so light. Which means that by the time we made our way down to the Nike outlet, all shoes in my size were gone. And I was sad. Because this place was HUGE and full of cute, comfortable sneakers for every sport imaginable and I wanted in. To make myself feel better, I headed for the Air Force One men's section in search for the love of my life: the all white Nike Air Force One. Yeah, it's that white shoes thing I have, and this is the king of all white shoes in my eyes. I just wanted to hold it. Admire it. And carry it around the store with me. But this was still an outlet, and people were scrambling to get the shoes they wanted, in their size and get out. So when I saw my beloved shoe and noticed that there was a guy getting ready to take it to pair with the one he was already holding I figured I had two options: let him get his shoes and be happy or take the other half of the pair and make MYSELF happy. Found my 4th pair of lunarglide running shoes here yesterday. Since my feet overpronate, I researched a few years back and found that the lunarglides are one of the shoes that would help me. Ever since I started wearing them, my feet stopped hurting! So they are now the only walking shoes I'll buy. Normal price at any shoe store has them at around $120. When I stop at an outlet I'm looking for Nike to check out the lunarglides. Usually I'm looking at the colors and price. Here they had a cool blue pair for 70 bucks. You cannot beat that price anywhere, especially for the newest lunarglide 6s. The comfort and style is comparable to my pairs of lunarglide 4 and 5. Nike just keeps getting better. read more

The selection was a shame. A complete and utter shame. They had 1, and I mean 1, long sports bra. One color of 1 type. The rest were all short. The prices aren't that reduced either, so you're better off going to the Nike Store and getting a better selection for sale. The service was even worse than the selection. Dare I even say abysmal. What type of service is deserving of such a fancy word? The kind where when you ask an associate if they have any more sports bras, and their response is "Oh, we only have one? That's weird." Then she proceeded to walk away without looking for more or even trying to find an alternative. Zero. Nothing. Just a "That's weird." WTF? I asked another associate for help, thinking hey, maybe it's just one bad apple. She was just as useless, and said "We should have more." but then didn't help me find any. Just said they should have more. Second WTF! I circled the store. Combed through the racks. Looked like a lost puppy while doing so, and all the while the associates stood together, and chatted amongst themselves, and not about work. I even saw one associate staring at a clothes rack for maybe 10 minutes, and pushed the hangers back and forth. That's it. That's all. My son found a pair of shorts and after all that bad service, I left pretty pissed but reluctantly bought the shorts. When I got home, I noticed that they actually overcharged me $7 for the shorts! $7!!! I was so pissed when I left that I didn't even notice until I got home and had already cut the tags off. Since I don't live anywhere near a Nike outlet, it isn't even worth trying to get the $7. Complete and utter fail! read more

This is by far the best Nike outlet store I have ever visited. I searched far and wide for a quality Nike store, and this was by FAR the best. Not only did they have multiple styles of shoes with my size, (14; which is very difficult to find outside of the internet) but they had many clothing products on sale! I couldn't believe how many sales they had going on when I stopped by on my way home from Palm Springs. I ended up walking out with 2 pairs of shoes, and 3 pairs of Nike golf shorts. On top of it all, the employees were very helpful, but not too overbearing. I had multiple employees check on me during my visit, even though the store was packed! At checkout, the employees greeted me with a smile, and were extremely friendly. Great visit, great service, and great products! I would definitely encourage others to stop by, and even living an hour and a half away, I will definitely be back to shop here! read more

Unfortunately, i got my hopes up a little too high thinking I was going to come out with some decent priced shoes, but i didn't find a single thing I liked. I like to think that I actually am pretty good at finding shoes that work for me, but for some reason, this outlet seemed dry of that. They did have some flyknights for around $110, but with my brotherinlaw as a manager at champs - I can get that a lot cheaper than it already is. *sigh - I cant really give this place 1 star, because i absolutely adore nike - but this particular outlet needs to step up its game. read more

I don't see how hard it is to greet someone as they walk in, and then when you see me struggling to find a size, stop talking about whatever personal nonsense you're talking out and do your job! By far some of the rudest employees I've ever seen, and I used to work at Walmart! And the selection was super lacking compared to the ones in Cabazon or Lake Elsinore! Now shoes are moderately priced and to be honest I'm picky with shoes and I don't like buying liquidated priced shoes because the shoes at outlets are usually shoes that don't sell. They are the shoes that don't fly and are not the best of the lot. So I usually end up buying socks, shorts, warmups, bags, gloves. It seems that there is a high stock in those things. The golf section always has plenty of shirts in plenty of sizes. So what a great place to purchase a polo for Dad. If you want to buy in bulk gifts, this is the place to do it. I find the process of shopping for running shoes completely daunting. I personally think running shoes look terrible on everyone: big, hulky, overly-colored and we all look like we've got club feet when wearing them. But I've been in desperate need of a good pair that provides arch support and I've spent years trying to get used to the idea of wearing those ridiculous contraptions on my feet, running up and down shoe aisles trying to find something that works... I was feeling a bit distressed while examining the shoes, complaining to my friend how the shoes fitting my purpose were visually disarming, and a salesman approached me, introducing himself as Javier. Javier was really nice, and proceeded to explain to me the structure of the shoes, without pretention, and in a truly informative matter. He took me down the shoe aisle that provided the support I need for my feet and went through each shoe, pointing out details I hadn't noticed, explain differences in tread, and told me how to tell if the shoe is fitting me properly. And then he left me alone to make my decision, not pushing me towards purchase or beating into my head any rehearsed sales tactics. Needless to say, I left with a pair of shoes that are working for me, aren't hideously overly decorated, and are providing the structure and support for my foot so I can train at the gym or on the trail as I need. It was such a positive shopping experience, in the end, that I also went ahead and filled out Nike's online store survey, giving Javier a shout out in case that means extra perks for him. One of the more popular stores at the outlets, but items seem to be out of place at times. The prices for men's basketball shorts aren't that much lower than your local footlocker/champs sports. But you can find some great stuff at their sales section. read more
