Desert Hills Premium Outlets lives up to the name, and the Converse Factory Store is by far the finest example I've ever seen. Today my lifelong relationship with the brand hit a new high point, yielded a motherload, and cost less than one pair of the John Varvatos Converse X did originally at MSRP! First, I want to acknowledge three outstanding and friendly employees who served me above and beyond, and had fantastic demeanor and personality. Adrian took note of my preference for the more expensive, but significantly more comfortable Converse X shoes that receive that something extra verve by Varvatos. Their pimp looks, goatskin glove leather, shoe bags, choice of laces and luxurious leather insole make them worth their weight in gold. He offered to check the back for any more my size not on display. It was a good day to go because they offered an additional 40% off for select models and closeouts. Mariah and Yolanda also contributed to the experience of selection and price checking. Thank you all for that! Bottomline: I landed four pair of the elite Converse X in different styles and colors for under $150, including tax! Consider that MSRP was $150 for one pair originally, and at full price they would have been $510 before tax. Why pay more?! My highest praise for the coolest shoes ever made, and even though some thieving rat stole my first pair of low tops back in seventh grade from my gym locker, I didn't stay away. read more

Yelp 2015 Challenge #7 Wow. This place was kinda big! :D Well not huge but...merp This place was in the Eastern Desert Hills outlet mall. This is actually one of the first stores you see if you're coming in from the Cabazon area. When we went in, there was a 40% sale off CLEARANCE items. I got a pair of shoes that was originally $60, and on sale at $30. Yep. $17 shoes. Aw yes. The staff was very knowledgeable and knew where everything was :) I had asked where the boots were. They're in the center haha, and you can see if it's men's, women's, or unisex. Check the box and see what it says. :) They have a LOT of variety here haha. There were tons of shoes here for guys :D Aw yes. :P Unfortunately, the line is long and does take some time to get through. They do offer a $5 gift card with a survey online haha. CONVERSE CHUCKS HEAVEN! They also have some very simple t-shirts and button ups for guys and girls! Amazing prices and great quality! I'm going to resist from having an entire Converse Chucks shoe collection.. $40 for adult sizes and $30 for kids. Lucky for me I am a size 4 in kids so I get it for $30 which makes me 1 happy shopper :D Did I mention the employees here are so down to earth? For a desert, it was super cold and windy. I went in to buy a jacket. For a great deal on a decent one! Total came out to $21.57. Yippee.

Fair variety of chucks and apparel. Found it to crowded to really try on anything. All the seats were mostly taken by people sitting around playing on their phones or talking with people rather than actually trying on stuff. Though I did manage to find a $8 scarf for my wife. read more

Complete disregard for customer service. They have a sign that says 10% discount for students and they won't take a digital version. What's worse is my kids are in grade school. They have attend school by law! What if my kids were home schooled? They don't get the discount either? The employee wouldn't ask her manager and said I should call corporate. We had custom shoes printed at the customize station. First off, they had iPads but not an app, you just had to go to pictures to see the options. They "take your order" at the customize desk and then have you take your shoes and the invoice to the cashier and you have to pay upfront. I am glad they didn't mess up, would have been horrible I am sure. They said it would take 30-45 minutes. About 30-35 minutes, we went back but they had not started on my shoes at all. She was taking orders from other people and no one could help with that. She quoted 1 more hour. We had already walked the whole mall and sat down and ate so walked around again (a tad too chilly just to sit outside) it took her 1.5 hours not including the first 30 or so minutes. We paid for both sides of each shoe to print and she only printed one side per shoe. During the "order" portion, she kept seeming to push the half side since its $40 cheaper. We had to wait another 20 minutes for her to finish. By now she was closed and still had at least 1 more order...that poor person. the shoes look alright (not fantastic, and the tongue and backtab are just a solid color) but she left ink on the sidewall of the sole and got ink on the new white laces and didn't replace them. they did apologize for the wait but did not offer anything above that. All in all, never get the shoes printed in store if you are short on time. all in all, I likely wouldn't get shoes printed again and stick to custom from the converse website or custom shoes that may come out from time to time. read more

I was there at 4/19/2019 around 6pm. The manager was really rude. Someone working at there told me I can use coupons for the shoes I want. So I went all the way to the service center to get the coupon and got back. When I get back the Asian girl at the cashier told me I can use the coupon. Then this manager comes and tell me I can't use the coupon and explain the reason why it's because she is the manager.Just ask me if I still want the shoes or not. And the shoes cost 236.96, she asked me for 266.96. So I gave her 267.When I get the receipt I asked for the change, and she told me I gave her 237. After all she gave me the 30 dollars back. It's a very very bad experience. I think if I can speak fluent English she will never treat me like that. read more

We had a coupon book from the concierge and every store we shopped at honored their discount coupon regardless of sales or promotions. Converse did not. Told them the coupon is what got me in the store and was disappointed to hear that they did not accept my coupon. The worst shopping experience ever. System Failure, spraying the compressed gas duster in the machine, infront of me (infront of the customer) without saying "excuse me". I have to stand up in the line for more than 1 hour due to inefficient machine/cashier register, on top of that they charged my debit card and asked me to pay cash. Really this store is a nightmare. I heard one customer complaining too, that she was there 2 weeks ago and it did happened to her. Obviously, they have not doing anything with the past issues. I will never shop in this store ever, especially this location. It's a waste of time going to this store. read more
