I came across this clothing company originally was due to shopping at Ontario Mills Outlets. So I would play switch offs between Ontario Mills Outlets and Desert Hills Premium Outlets when there would be a long weekend. I would only usually visit Outlets during a long weekend due to reasonable and promising sales taking place. This most recent trip I took to this clothing store, Desert Hills Premium Outlets was due to seasonal changes~I most definitely needed some joggers. Surprisingly, 'American Eagle Outfitters,' did not disappoint. They were hosting jogger and sweatshirt sales. I even found they sold 'Budweiser,' sleepwear or sweatshirts for those folks who like drinking beer. Now that would just be the perfect outfits for them. I'll most likely shop here again soon. I love American Eagle and have shopped there for years. However, today I went to this outlet location and they asked if I want a bag. I said yes and they charged 10 cents for it. For years they have given me the same blue paper bag, but now they charge for it. Maybe its some law for California or something, but I went to Nike right after and they just gave me a bag. No charge. Just sad that you spend hundreds of dollars on clothing and still have to be upcharged 10 cents at the register. read more

Stopped here for some cool air and found some great deals. Love it when you walk through the door and receive a friendly welcoming. Store was well organized and items easily accessible. I was shopping around Cabazon and I remembered that I could not find online a shirt that was in their mail magazine. When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and throughout the store. Everyone was so friendly. I approached the gal regarding the shirt I was looking for and she looked for it until she isolated all her options. When she couldn't find it, she just didn't say oh well sorry. Nope she talked to her co-workers via the walkie talkie and as I was getting ready to walk out of the store. The young lady geez I wish I remembered her name because she was the BOMB.com. she walked up to me and asked me for the photo of the shirt I was looking for. She jumped onto her ipad trying to locate the shirt after a few minutes as I'm ready to give up. She says, "I found it and it's on sale and can have it shipped to your house for free." I wanted to die. The above and beyond efforts each individual took was so impressive. Great Customer Service and big shout out to the entire team who was working on Thursday, March 3rd between the hours of 3-5pm. y'all deserve a raise and more!! Keep up the good work. read more

Visiting 1/1/2016 Kids bought jeans for $30 each (buy one get the other for 50% off). I didn't think it was that great of a deal, but they thought so. One of my kids raved on and on about how it fit so well. Looks good to me, but so do her other pairs of jeans from other stores! read more

My boyfriend and I went to Capitol City Mall today shopped at many stores and I was very disappointed in the females in all these stores and it seemed like no one wanted to help us find what we were looking for and when it was time to pay every female cashier would ball my clothes up and stuff them in the bags. Finally American Eagle was the last store I myself shopped at. From the time I walked I was immediately acknowledged and greeted by a male and a female everyone was so kind and professional. A new associate Ashley catered to me with Professional care and helped me in every sense of the word she did everything for me except try my clothes on. I was trying these pijamas on and there was this lady that at first was nice but she ended up snitching me out to her manager. The manager was an asshole because supposedly I was taking too long. They were confusing me on what to do. It's all because some person that used that same fitting room before me, supposedly left their water bottle there. They were so persistent that I didn't know if I should finish trying on the pijamas or dress back up so they can check that there was no water bottle. The selections were not bad but the customer service was very very poor. I was waiting for about 10 minutes for a fitting room and kept getting skipped even when the representative kept looking at me constantly. I then saw people getting helped on the exit side so I went to that side and waited patiently just to be told rudely "I'll help you in a minute" after she had just helped 5 people before me. Who came after me.. and then she told me that I was in the exit area and I had to go to the other side after she helped 2 different people on that side and was only coming and going from that side. Not once even attempting to go to the entrance side. Very rude lady. Did not buy anything because I felt Unhelped and a bother. read more

Ok this by far is the best American Eagle I have been to! I went on Black Friday and yes it was crazy but not once did I feel I couldn't find anything or get customer service. Black Friday I was in and out the employees were amazing and constantly helping or reorganizing and even at the end of the line had someone pulling security tags off to make checkout faster! The best experience on a Black Friday. I ended up ordering two flannels online Cyber Monday and unfortunately they just would not fit my shoulders. So today I went in to exchange them for a larger size. I found similar ones and tried them on in the dressing room. I have to say the call button is amazing and the attendant was there right away to exchange my size and was so fast getting back to me. However they still don't fit my shoulders! One of the employees actually suggested trying the men's for a better fit on my shoulders but I was ok without flannel. So since they were having a BOGO 50% off jeans I decided to just get some new jeans instead. My first pairs were too big so the attendant again switched them out super fast. I ended up with one really good fitting pair so I went to the jeans to find another, because hey, why pay full price for just one when the other would be half off!? They didn't have my size in short so one of the employees offered to look in the back and if they didn't have it would ship them to my house free of charge! Like what!? Luckily they had them and I was so pleased to have someone actually care to look for me. I rarely ask for help at clothing stores but I didn't even have to ask they just offered! So onto checkout which was swift, friendly, and the exchange worked perfectly. Now I'm happy with two pairs of jeans that fit great!! This review is a bit late but I wanted to recognize Hector at this location. my daughter and I went in looking for a denim miniskirt in her size. It was very busy in there. We asked a young lady who was folding clothes at a table near the fitting rooms to check inventory. She checked inventory and said that they did not have anymore and that everything was on the floor. We thanked the young lady and my daughter and I headed towards the back of the store to look at the clearance denim. A bit later, a young man came by to tell us about the denim promotion and asked if there was anything he could help us with. I decided to tell him the situation with the denim skirt. He said "okay let me go check and if you are willing to travel to another location, I can have them hold it for you." We asked Hector to please check the Temecula store. He came back and said that the Temecula store had it and it was on hold. Hector also came back with a printout of other surrounding stores listing and how many they had in stock. We were so ecstatic. Hector went above and beyond in customer service. He is an outstanding employee who should be recognized for his hard work and great attitude. What a great experience! A big Thank You to Hector! I was in the dressing room & had someone getting me different sizes & if she couldn't find the size, she would bring something else that she thought maybe I would like. Go to see Hector in this store location. Most everyone in this location is friendly, but I must say that I've been in retailing for 40+ years, and I've NEVER witnessed such a level of professionalism from a sales associate as I have with Hector! I had a rather complicated transaction (purchased one item in the wrong style/fit, purchased several others in the wrong size, and had to return them all, and search for the correct sizes and colors in the store, and online. Hector didn't miss a beat working on the exchange...with lighting speed on the cash register/computer (the likes of which I've NEVER seen) and was incredibly courteous and patient throughout. He shared online ordering tips, and welcomed me back (as a local Palm Springs resident) anytime for assistance. Give this guy a whopping raise. Recruit him for your business if you can. Had one of the most infuriating encounters with an employee here this past weekend. Went in to find some shorts for my sister because the quality is good (unlike the service) and she needed some new ones. At the register, I wanted to use my 20% student discount because, well, saving money is great. That already put blonde boy in a mood, but only god knows why. The code ended up not working so I had to step outside to claim a new code because I didn't have service in the store (I never have service in any of the stores at the outlet). I came back in and saw my mom & sister waiting on the side as the guy was helping the next customer in line. He was very nice and chatty with them (very different demeanor like 2 min ago) and took his sweet time. Then after them, he took the next customer. The three of us are visibly annoyed, which alerted another employee who softly spoke into her radio accessory telling someone to come help us. Another girl comes over, stands at the empty register in front of us (that we had moved over to), never making eye contact with us, and then walks over to the register on the end, away from us, and ushers in the next customer in line. I almost blew my top, but before that could happen, the initial employee who called her over pointed at us and told her to help us. I honestly don't know what I/my mom/my sister could've possibly done to elicit such nasty, passive aggressive treatment from blonde boy & his coworker. My mom thinks it was racially charged (both were of a diff ethnicity than us while the helpful employee was the same), but who knows. All I know is that having to deal with that shit treatment from blonde boy, whose name I *think* was Brandon, was a very sour way to end the day. read more
