Walked in here looking for some gift ideas. Received a really pleasant greeting right when I came in. But they weren't too pushy. In fact, the girl immediately said, "Take your time, look around, and let us know if you need assistance." Really a good start to a pleasant shopping experience. I found some good active type wear that fit the bill for an athletic friend of mine. The girl helped me get the sizes and colors I wanted to get and was smiling the whole time. Employees are no help... half of them are pretending to fold clothes and the other half are talking it up at the register while I was waiting for help. A few minutes go by and no one acknowledged me in the store even going as far as trying to not make eye contact. Don't just hire boys that wear big pants and a cropped t-shirt that are useless. Zumiez do better I've been a customer for over 10 years I'm really disappointed will be taking my service to another Zumiez location. read more

Usually I would have good service in this store. I guess today was my unlucky day because I went here in the morning shift. The two girls working there were stupid and rude. I went to the front desk and tried getting the cashiers attention but a black female responded saying "yes?" I stuttered for a couple seconds because she was walking away and I looked at her thinking "Were you answering to me or talking to someone else?" I asked about "BONES" lubricant and she just walked away without telling me something....then she gave it to me on my hand saying there you go. And walked away quickly. I tried asking for help from another employee on the cash register. She first asked "did you need something?" I said yes. Then all of a sudden she asked for my number. I was weirded out. So I asked why?? And she says "So could put it on the computer" Then I begged "couldn't I ask you about something first?" And she requested my number again and I'm like "So that's a no??" So I finally got to find out what I asked for but maaaannn. All that fuss over my number?? At first it seemed creepy but I was annoyed as shit for her to find that out first like, should I provide a number to ask a question or to get helped by an employee??? read more

I was greeted upon entering the store. This was a good start. The young girl working even asked if she could help me. This is even better. but then. I told her what I needed and she then pawned me off on another girl in the back of the store. Ok a bit rude but I'll let it go. I tell the next girl what I need. Not too friendly but not too cold either. Was halfway knowledgeable about products but only halfway. She found my merchandise, led me to the front and said she would ring me up. Then suddenly proceeded to tell me to get into the back of the line behind some other people who came after me. Now, not so cool! My 11 year old son Jake has just discovered skateboarding and i know nothing about boards or tricks. My son was given a deck by a friend of his and i needed to get everything else for it so i called around and this had the best priced stuff so we came in. They also told me they would hook it all up here so i didnt have to worry. We were lucky enough to be helped by a young man named Umar, who definitely went above and beyond to help me with choices, including my son in the building (showing him how to put together wheels/ bearings and letting him use tools) of the board and all around talked with my kid the entire time (bout 30 mins cuz the boards a lil used and striped) telling him stories and giving him advice about skating. My son was so stoked!! Umar made him feel so happy and confident! Alot of places you go nowadays you feel so rushed and ignored but not this day... I want to give Umar 10 stars, he deserves it! I appreciate the attention given to my boy and to let you know even for just 30 mins in a day, you made my son feel good and that matters in life. Sean and Dev both helped my husband in picking up broken boards in order to upcycle them. My husband does woodworking and is stoked to be able to reuse the board material in other projects. So far, he has made a vinyl weeding tool for me and a knife handle to replace a cheap one on a knife he had bought. I attached a pic of my tool--it's perfect to use with my Cricut projects. My husband is eager to add some bigger projects to his plate in the coming weeks! read more

Yesterday my daughter and niece experienced discrimination at the mall last night by a store manager named Jada at Zumiez retail store. After they tried on 5 outfits upon their return of the clothes the manager failed to pay attention to where they placed the 5th outfit on rack. After they left store this disgusting individual had the audacity to have a sales rep not only track my girl's down but she asked them to return to the store to point out where they put the 5th outfit in question. When they came back into the store the assistant manager Jada stood there with her arms crossed and a smirk on her devilish face thinking she caught them redhanded, to find she never had them to begin with. They gracefully pointed out where the merchandise was as she stood there looking pressed and pissed off that she couldn't catch them in the act. Never did she apologize or take accountability for her actions, this will be escalated to the top of the chain. read more
