I was so happy to find Whatever Betty on my last visit to the mission galleria in Riverside. I…read moreunderstand there is one in Redlands too, and they just opened up Whatever Betty for the fellas. The store is AMAZING: quality, selection, variety and all at a reasonable price for beautiful vintage swag and gear. And on top of that, *incredible* customer service. On my visit I had taken two gorgeous caftans to purchase, but then had a moment at the register because of all the other things I'd picked up and out one of the items back. I know you know what's coming. Hint: I made a YUGE mistake. I ended up regretting that IMMEDIATELY. I live 60 miles away, so I was really in angst over the item. A couple of days later, I thought I'd take a long shot and see if it was still there. Azenath answered the phone and was so incredibly sweet - tracking down the piece and putting it on an extended hold for me to pick up. I was so in love and obsessed (and also lucky to have amazing friends in Riverside) who went and picked it up for me. From this point on, consider me a loyal customer! I can't wait to go back next time I'm in the IE. OH, and if you go, please give Azenath and Mariam my best!

Whateverbetty is located inside the Mission Galleria structure in Downtown Riverside. Specifically,…read moreit is located on the fourth floor. What you will find here is a whole lot of clothing. That's basically what they focus on, and they have a lot of it. Virtually all of the clothing they offer is used. My guess is what they do is go to thrift stores and other such locations and pick out the best of the best and then present it for sale. Meaning, yes, you could find what is being offered here at the various thrift stores but what they have done is pick out the best of the best for you to choose from. This is not a criticism, this is just something to give you an understanding of what to expect when you walk in to this business. The prices here are moderate, with a few items that I would consider as fairly high. But, if you want to look through an interesting collection of high-end used clothing, this is the shop for you.

Vintage Alley is a beautiful and special local small business located in the heart of Riverside…read more From the moment you walk in you are instantly absorbed and in awe of all the beautiful and unique items. The store is a good size and is divided up into different rooms with privately owned antiques and homemade works of art. They have everything from kitchen, bedroom and garden decor. Each special item is priced reasonably for its uniqueness and timeless style. The shop owner (I think) was at the register and so nice and answered all my questions. What I truly love about this place is the care they take in each transaction. Wrapping each item and placing them in a cute brown gift bag with black tissue paper. When I got home, I felt as though I was opening a gift. A special gift from me to me! All I can say is this place is a local gem and I hope the current pandemic doesn't get the best of them. I will be back again and again and again and again!

The way the owner displays her items are beautiful but be prepared to overspend ($$$$$). I personally enjoy finding treasures for a reasonable price - even if it means going to a few other antique stores or thrift stores. Enjoy the hunt. Since the move, it feels like a totally different store. Sad to see what used to be a great store, turn into something for teens/instagram-hungry-folk to find "vintage/farmhouse" clothes. Needs more space for furniture & such, like what it was before.

I can't speak for the quality of the clothes, but I was surprised that the prices were actually affordable. The quality felt good when I searched though the racks.
