I had such a great experience here 3 weeks ago. My associate was JP. He was attentive, hospitable, and accommodating. The shoes were the pair I loved and the price was great! There are comments about them being mean to brown people, well I am brown and didn't have that experience at all. I was in line 10 minutes at the most, was greeted upon entering and assigned my associate. I told JP what I was looking for, they had my size, I purchased and then left the store. Even the associates not assigned to me were super nice. I had gone to the CL red bottom store a few minutes prior and was not greeted at all, they looked at me as if I was Casper the ghost. I usually deal with Tammy there and she was scheduled to work the night shift and was not there at the time I went to the mall. Went to Gucci and had a good experience. read more

Lantz was really a great asset and help to us during our 2 visits to Gucci on a recent President's Day weekend. To be honest, we came back a 2nd time in hopes he would be there when we would make our purchases and thankfully he was. His customer service was excellent from our first visit to the second. It didnt change, he was the same... helpful and engaging. He even encouraged us to shop around at the other stores and to come back if we didnt find anything there. We appreciated him... He was a factor in why we we returned. Located in the Desert Hills Premium Outlets section near Nike and next to Saint Laurent. You cant miss it. You may have to wait to enter but the line should move rather quickly as it did both times for us. All the employees were friendly but Lantz is the person you have to see. Great personality and deserving of your time, you will see. We purchased a zipper around Luce wallet for my mother and a messenger bag I've had my eye on for a while. The wallet she will really like as it looks like an archival piece similar to what she's had in the past and ones that have been handed down to her by my grandmother. Very happy with our purchases. Went to the Cabazon Outlet with my wife to purchase some shoes for her. Stopped at the Gucci Store and Y'Dira (spelling her name is probably wrong) was very helpful. Walked out the store with some Gucci loafers for my wife, a pair of Gucci sneakers for me, a full body purse for my wife and a Gucci bag for myself. Came in here looking for ties. We actually did find one but wanted to browse more. Our initial interaction with customer service was actually great and friendly. It was upon our return that the customer service switched. There seems to be inconsistency across the staff and I didn't personally like the lack of hospitality. It also felt very cold-shoulder-like. I would say generally for the men's ties I found the value to be worth it. I wasn't really a fan of their current selection for other things and the value. Maybe when they get new stock possibly but this was just my observations. I'd return-- we only did come in because for once there wasn't a super long line lol. read more

The sale people in the store made a mistake with my shoe size. The size I asked for was 39.5, but they gave me 40.5 instead. This is too big. When I got home and called to request a size change, I was told that the request had been made but there was no response after a day. Even worse, they tried to hang up on my calls several times. The selection here is decent, the purses had good prices compared to the regular price stores. The styles are decent with some popular colors like nude, tan and blacks. Some of the purses looks very flimsy and not well made, the quality isn't very good. Same goes for the shoes. Hit or miss customer service. We got an older gentleman, short statured, maybe middle eastern. He was super pushy from the start, he actually bumped me and never apologized. He was not at all knowledgeable, we asked for an 11.5 shoe and he gave us an 11. I asked a young Hispanic girl to verify the size and she was super condescending, so I asked for someone else to checkout with she got even ruder. A manager happened to come out who was nice and way more professional. There were 2 other gentleman that offered help who were way more friendly but we already had the old guy helping us pick some wallets. Now while we were doing that, a blond older chick with an accent made a really inappropriate comment because my hubby had a t shirt on with a Mexican figure. If it wasn't for the fact that we were getting last minute gifts for our children we would have left with our money. Other family visited this outlet multiple times and was told they would need to wait for 2 employees to escort them. They definitely racially profile brown people which is ironic because they are right there next to the Morongo reservation. Not like it's El Paseo or Rodeo Drive. Very rude cashier. No smile no care no eye contact. Took her a while to find my profile, not sure why and she got irritated instead of me. Didn't expect this kind of service at Gucci. The salesman was very nice, helped me pick a scarf for myself and a tie for my husband. Love both items. There are many cute pieces to chose from at this outlet including kids fashion. I got the cutest shoes for my one year old niece for $85 ... they had nice summer dresses for little girls. As far as waiting in line to get in we only waited 20 minutes on a Saturday. Bring a face mask as many of the stores are mandating this again. I highly recommend making an appointment online but if you can't get one, prepare yourself for roughly an hour plus long wait time. They provide umbrellas for shade which is nice but we brought one just in case after reading the reviews. I also highly recommend making up a Gucci customer profile to speed up the purchasing process. I personally felt they had an awesome selection to choose from. My favorites though are the bamboo top handled variety and I instantly fell in love with the one I took home. There was only one option left but it was exactly the one that I wanted and had been searching for!! Fate, much? I didn't want to settle for something else, especially after the long wait to get in the store as well as the long drive to get there. Side note: I actually stopped coming here years ago because I dealt with an extremely rude, female S.A. Fast forward to today, our S.A., Michael, was amazing! Super friendly and accommodating and had no problem searching in the back for us for other handbag sizes before I decided on the Gucci Padlock Small Leather Bamboo Top-handle Shoulder Bag In Black. I originally only came in for a new wallet but of course that didn't happen, lol. Btw, Michael was actually the first and only S.A. who greeted us in the store but I will be nice and just chalk it up to the store being super busy. As I buy a decent amount of casual t-shirts , I was on the hunt for ones I don't own. I wear an XS, and that can be a challenge at both a boutique and an outlet. I picked out one from last season. Then I moved on to sneakers and slides. I wear a popular size, but again, got a pair of leather sneakers pretty much 50% off previous retail. Came in during one of their slow days and checked out some nice dresses for my wife. We decided not to buy anything but my wife couldn't get this cute white dress out of her mind. The drive is quite a bit away from where we live in LA, but I was able to get in touch with Mariana and she was so helpful in getting the dress delivered to our home. Clown shoes or high fashion? It's not a rhetorical question: some items are so garish (and overpriced) that it blurs the line between wearable fashion vs. costume design. Jim the manager at the Gucci outlet store is a terrible person and should not be a manager of a retail store representing a luxury brand. My fiancé and I came to this store and as I was trying on some shoes she unexpectedly liked one of the purses so I told her if she liked it I would buy it for her. After we went to the front counter and paid over $4,300 for our merchandise we realized the purse did not come with a small black strap that the display copy had and asked for it. The store employees looked and unfortunately said they could not find one and called the manger Jim. We told Jim that we will just return the purse then and he LAUGHED AT HER FACE and told her no and that there are no refunds, all sales are final, and are exchange only. California Code of Civil Procedure Section 1723 requires retailers to post their refund policy. There were NO POSTED SIGNAGE ABOUT THIS REFUND POLICY ANYWHERE IN THE STORE. Further, as my fiancé (who has an Asian accent) kept trying to talk, Jim kept interrupting her and would not let her finish her sentence. It was very clear he had disdain for Asian women. I had to bite my tongue not to start yelling as I have blood pressure issues. Jim told my fiancé that the only way she would get the small black strap was to buy, or exchange for, the display copy version (which was filthy) instead of the brand new one we just purchased. My fiancé showed Jim that the piece comes off and that we would take the piece happily but Jim refused. He only wanted us to exchange for the filthy version so he could keep the new one we just bought instead of just handing us the strap. Then he just disappeared while she was talking and never came out again. We were just about fed up and before we could decide what to do, one of the store employees (Lizzie) just came in and saved the day. Lizzie gave us the black strap and told us not to worry. Lizzie is an angel and in my opinion, a far better representative of Gucci than Jim, who should be reprimanded. Lizzie should be given a bonus, a thank-you letter from the higher-ups, and/or a raise. Jim needs to be demoted. Jim needs to apologize. Jim's conduct was deceptive and misleading because he could have easily given us the strap from the floor model and let us keep the newer bag we just purchased instead of forcing us to exchange for a filthy floor purse. Not to mention again that he openly laughed at my fiancé's face, would not let her speak while, at the same time, try to mansplain to my fiancé why he won't honor anything the prior representatives said. Jim's actions are the type of conduct prohibited under the Consumer Legal Remedies Act under Section 1770. He should be reprimanded, and at the very least, made to apologize to my fiancé. Who know who else Jim has offended, mistreated, and outright lied to. The strap likely cost $1 to make and we purchased a $3,200 purse. Wouldn't you, as a manager, happily take a strap off a floor model to give to the customer who spent that much??? Jim's deceitful nature, and behavior towards Asian women, belies the vision that Gucci intends to impress upon consumers, unless that vision is to treat you like a mistreated dog. We never get treated this way at the other luxury brands where we get food and treats. Jim is a monster. I could tell his employees do not respect him either. He must treat his employees just as poorly as he treats customers. read more

PSA: Don't waste your time calling, no one will pick up. Everyone is on the floor helping customers. You will just get angry & upset if you keep trying to call lol An outlet is an outlet, no matter what the brand. There will be waiting, there will be miscommunication & there will be rude employees, as with any retail location, name brand or not... If you don't like it, don't shop there? With that being said, we had a good ol' time at the Gucci outlet! Yes, there was a line, but we knew that so it wasn't a problem for us. Made the drive out from San Diego and made it into the line right at 1030AM. They open at 10 am (went Saturday, 1/23/21). It was about ~15 couples deep and took about an hour 15 to get into the store. They tell you "30 min" but it really depends on the shoppers inside the store & well, since the pandemic the capacity is at an all time low. I suggest you take as long in the store as you did waiting outside just to justify your wait time :) Anyway, our temps got checked before heading in and was greeted quickly. Let me tell you, the place looked pristine! You would have never thought it was an outlet store with the way they kept everything so nice & neat. We only looked at the bags & wallets, wasn't interested in the clothes. They have a huge collection of bags, wallets, pouches & from what I saw, a good selection on clothing along with accessories. Pricing! Every bag we looked at seemed to be half off original price. Don't quote me on that, just the bags we looked at in store vs online... Got the white (camera bag per Gucci site) purse for $600 when it was originally ~$1200. Got the black "fanny pack" for $480 when it was originally upwards of ~$800. Got the "Bree" purse (not pictured) for $620, originally I think was ~$1000. I'm sure these styles were from last season, but who cares, any style of Gucci will always be chic! The line to pay wasn't as bad either, long, but it moved quickly even if there were only 2 people in the front. I would suggest that they make a clear path to where you pay, had several people asking "where is the line to pay" or "is this the line to pay?" Again, be patient & be kind. The employees are only human and are only trying to make a living the same way you are. Miscommunication happens all the time so please ask the right questions when you're present so you don't go home confused about any of their policies.
