I recently had what I can only describe as a "Pretty Woman" moment at the Tod's store in the Cabazon outlets. I strutted in confidently.... no hesitation, no second-guessing... straight to the men's shoe section. I know Tod's makes a quality product, and that's exactly why I was there. I spotted the sneaker I wanted right away... real leather with suede accents, super sleek, exactly my vibe. I turned to the male salesperson and said, "I need a size 7 in this one," pointing right at the shelf. And then... he paused. Like, hard pause. "Oh! Is this for yourself?" he asked. "Yes, it is," I replied--still calm, cool, collected. He looked confused and immediately tried to redirect me... pointing me toward the women's section. Nonplussed, I told him, "No, this is for me. Yes, I'm shopping in the men's section. Is there a problem here? ." And that's when his whole vibe shifted. He went into this high-and-mighty, better-than-thou mode, and honestly, it threw me. I've never experienced that kind of energy before--not even in high-end stores. you already know you're spending $250 and up on a pair of shoes, easily. The pair I wanted was actually marked down to $279 from $600, so yes.. I saw that as a win and was ready to buy. He reluctantly brought me the size 7, and surprise--it was too big. Turns out Tod's shoes run large, and I actually needed a men's size 6. (Good thing I tried it on.) His attitude didn't change much the entire time. Huffing, puffing, acting like I didn't belong there. Only toward the end did he finally soften a bit--but by that point, it was too late. And unfortunately, the size I needed in the color I wanted wasn't available after all. So no shoes for me, and a whole lot of attitude I didn't sign up for. Bottom line: Product? 10/10. Customer service? 3 out of 10. And that's exactly why my overall rating for this store experience drops to a 3 stars. A shame, really--because I wanted to buy. read more

went into try on some boots that I had seen previously and was going to make my purchase, I saw two colors that I liked. I asked to try them on. The sales asked me my size... I told her, she said this floor sample is my size and to try it on. So from there I thought ok that's fine. I sat one of the boots I had interest in next to some shoes my Girlfriend was trying.i see a person than take that boot and asked another sales person to try on. So that person ended up purchasing the boots I wanted in my size...and they checked after which was to late that was the only pair in my size...just because the sales person didn't want to be attentive to customers request and get the items requested. I got a pair of summer sandals at this location, not even a month after and only wearing them twice, one of the buckle already fell off after a night out and missing only to find out the next day. I contacted their customer service immediately requesting a repair. A month later still no response from them after multiple emails and phone calls. I'm in love. Tod's has always been my mom's favorite and I never really understood it. I went in looking for something nice to wear for work and wasn't expecting much since I already knew the style. I found a pair of grey loafers that happened to be my size, tried it on and was amazed about the fit and its comfiness. They look great and suitable for most of my outfit. The service was fair. When I went inside, there were a lot of customers and the staff was making their rounds to make sure everyone was helped. Great investment because these are my new favorite work shoes. Great customer service. Attentive but not pushy. We actually went back twice--first purchasing one item. Then, returning...just on the off chance they might have a very difficult to find size for my father-in-law. The salesperson actually went to the back and pulled all the available loafers in the smallest size. And then explained their features. I felt he really did a bang up job...and I hope he's working on commission. The rest of the mall is pretty meh. But if I'm passing through, I'll stop by and see if there's something interesting. There weren't many men's Tods selections here or sizes. Service was also really mediocre. I felt the sales associates weren't very accommodating and seemed almost a bit condescending when we were making selections and requests. Prices also weren't as low as I were expecting them to be. Averaged around $345 before tax for men's drivers. You can pickup Tods in the mid $250 ranges if you just buy on sale at department stores. Makes no sense to drive all the way out to this outlet for bad selections, barely any available sizes, and higher prices. read more

This review is for their non-existent customer service. This is not hyperbole. I literally cannot get a hold of anyone to help me. I have an odd situation: my brother was at Tods and purchased a bag for our mother just after Xmas. He had it shipped to me in San Francisco b/c mom is coming to visit this month. When the shipment arrived, I got someone else's order. A Susan in Portland, OR. Based on her invoice, which was included in the box, and our original receipt from the store, we both had the same sales associate. I won't call him out because mistakes happen. I'm guessing he just mixed up our orders and now Susan in Portland has my mom's bag. Here's the problem: I can't get a hold of ANYONE at Tods to help me! I tried calling the Tods store several times over the last 3 days, at different times of the day, and they NEVER picked up. I called the store 6 times just today, a random Thursday. Nothing. It just goes straight to VM after 2 1/2 rings. I've left 2 messages and my brother left a couple. I also emailed the store based on the email they provide in that voicemail message. Nothing. I looked up Tods corporate and called the customer service number. Turns out that's only for online and I was instead given corporate's CS email. I emailed them this morning and am waiting to hear back. Seriously people, no customer should have to jump through so many hoops! For such a premium brand, they have the crappiest customer service pipeline I've ever known! I'm in San Francisco, 468.8 miles away from Desert Hills so I can't physically walk into their store and speak with a manager to get this fixed. My brother lives no where near Desert Hills either, and was only in the area right after Xmas, so he can't go. Is that seriously what it takes? For someone to physically walk into their store to get help? This is their mistake and I can't get a hold of anyone at Tods to fix it. It's ludicrous. I finally thought to call Guest Services at Desert Hills and Richard helped me. He took down my info and said someone would walk over there and give it to a manager and make sure they get back to me. Fingers crossed they do Richard. Thank YOU at least for trying to help. In the meantime, if you shop at Tods (which I clearly don't recommend), DO NOT get anything shipped. Amazing customer service by Valdir Lopes, He went out of the way to bring all the options available in my size. Had all the patience to answer our questions. Valdir made sure he allocated his team member to attend to us when we had to come back and bill the shoes after an hour. Got the best two pairs in-spite of my extra large feet. My wife and I have lots and lots of Tod's driving shoes but recently we bought 4 pairs for me and two for my wife at outlet in Cabazon. The very first time I wore one of them the front and back scuffed badly. I wrote to Tod's but they don't even have the professional courtesy to respond so we will not be buying any more ever. Be aware that the merchandise in their outlet store is sold As-Is. For years this hasn't been a problem since the quality was so good, but recently I bought I pair of sneakers from their outlet in Switzerland which completely disintegrated after only a few months of lite wear. When I started to notice the wear, I also noticed that they were not marked "Made in Italy" as all of my other Tod's shoes are so I'm now left to wonder if they are selling 2nd tier goods through the outlets. U.S. customer service said according to their "global brand policy" I must deal with the store in Switzerland directly. Looks like I'm out a few hundred dollars unfortunately. read more

I have been to this Tod's several times over the last few years. I always end up purchasing 2-3 pairs of shoes. Yesterday's trip was no exception. The minute I entered the store I was properly greeted in a non-pushy way.. The salesman was extremely helpful and patient as I looked at 20 different shoes. I was fortunate that they had 2 pairs in my size; one that was marked 60% off ! the sales person followed through making sure both pairs were unmarked, the same size, etc. It could not have been a better expeience... the only negative is that there is a small supply in my size. It would be great if their selections and availability were on-line. I'd be very willing to pay the shipping, rather than the gas from the OC. read more

First time to a Tod's outlet. I thought the selection they were going to have was going to be limited and sparse. I was pleasantly surprised. They had tons of shoes for men and women along with their leather goods. We had to FaceTime family back home to see if they wanted anything. The salespeople were very nice about letting us show our family what they had in stock and let us take our time in deciding what we were going to purchase. Unfortunately, we didn't plan on buying so much and wish we had come better prepared. But, there's always next time! read more
