This store is filled to the brim with elegant vintage couture and ready to wear clothes with a good helping of handbags and jewelry. Be sure to ask the store clerk to help you to look at items in bags, as some are delicate and on the verge of museum pieces. The fashions are well curated and deserve a look behind the front one in the garment bag. These are real treasures, and the prices reflect it. read more

In this disheartening episode at the store, Mitchell's actions paint a troubling picture. I personally experienced persistent stares and discomfort, echoing another customer's claim of racial profiling. Mitchell's defensive response, stating, 'As far as being racist I am not, however, I hate having to police people like yourself, so go steal somewhere else! You're not welcome here,' only deepens the concern. It's disappointing to witness such unwelcoming behavior tarnishing the supposedly inclusive Palm Springs fashion scene. I'll be emailing the better business bureau, have a nice day Michel KKK. read more

The positive about Mitchells it is beautiful to shop fabulous selection of designers and it is organized. The sad and very disappointing issue I had with Mitchells is their pricing. Yes, I know my designers and where unique design pieces. I am willing to pay the price. Unfortnately, I had a little hickup not noticing a pair of shoes were more expensive then what I thought they were and Mitchells was very nice to refund me the money. The sad and bad and angry part of this story I felt obligated to purchase a pair of Valentino shoes and I hate them. Oh well I guess I will have to put them on ebay. I doubt VERY MUCH Mitchells would take them back. Sharm Cressey read more

What a find. A little of everything and I wanted to touch and buy everything. Others call this place Bitchells but he warmed up to us and even talked to us for a while on taking care of purses. I love his shop Fendi, Dior, LV, Lots of Gucci, Chanel, and lots more. Decent luxury prices. The clothes he has packed in are wonderful and all names. Take youre time, treat the inventory with respect, and ask questions. read more

As a hobby I collect vintage clothing acquiring a decent amount, a few closets worth. After shopping in vintage stores all over the US, this is one store I'll never go back in. While the merch is great quality it is grossly overpriced that it is silly, laughable. But put that aside as the worst problem is Mitchell. What a nasty attitude presenting himself thinking he is superior to his customers. Nothing but a negative attitude making it extremely unpleasant to remain in the store. So my official review, to borrow a phrase from negative Nancy himself "not my jam", "not my jam" read more

Mitchells Palm Springs - Labels shouldn't be crooked. - Women's Clothing Near Me - Palm Springs, California

The store meant to be vintage but sell replicas. The clothes looks dusty and they all look like it belongs to goodwill. The store owner is very rude and unwelcoming. The dog id barking and running around the store. He needs to be more friendly with his customers. I will not like to buy anything here. read more

This was a really good spot for vintage and new designer clothing. I was really impressed with their stock of modern swimming trunks. With a wide range of patterns, there was really something for everyone. The vintage designer options were also very good, especially for women. Coats, shirts, pants, accessories and shoes...everything was really impressive and at decent pricing. The owner really helped me...a very sweet guy. If you're looking for something unique, stop by Mitchells! read more

Incredible designer finds at a great price plus very knowledgeable and friendly staff

Don't trust this guy! Gave him a $400 purse to sell. Asked for it back.... He said he GAVE it to another consignment store That went out of business ... never told me. Dishonest Man! Beware We never had a contract... you never told me about a contract .... we were friends at the time... Save your bull... Don't forget I know u... and have for years.... My man holds this spot down. One of the few places a good lookin' broad or two will walk in like they know fashion, and homeboy straight up goes, "I'm not a huge fan of that on you, honey. Try these." Then birds just pick up what he fronts, tries them joints on, and swipes the plastic. Genius. An' not only that, he gots 70s and 80s Penthouse and Hustlers jus' layin' around, so birds waltz in with they men, and the mens just sit and flip through some vintage porn-- you know, when that ish was good. Wait till you see the dressing rooms, man. Choice. Missoni, Pucci, Karl Lagerfeld-- my man rocks all that an' more. She-beaux came up on a Hawaiin poncho that straight slayed Palm Springs. The Internet jus' ain't been the same since. The kind of poncho that shuts down Trump rallies, for real. On top of all that, he straight big-upped his homies at OTHER vintage stores and suggested we check them out. I'm feelin' it, man. I'm feelin' it all. Get at this spot. P.S. How you' gon' leave the fridge right there in the open with vodka, mixers, an' a shaker an' not break that out on a dry Friday afternoon?! I saw the grapefruit right there! Greyhounds don't pour they'selves! Next time, homie! read more

I'm visiting Palm Springs for the first time and came across Mitchells by complete fluke. Shopping here has been one of the highlights of my trip so far. I love vintage clothing but what really made this experience memorable was the customer service. Where I come from, no one takes time to help you the way Mitchell helped me. He took a good look at my figure and brought me clothes that he thought would fit and look great. There wasn't a single piece that didn't work. And he also brought me shoes to try on with the outfits so that my boring flats wouldn't take away from the overall image. I've never been so impressed. Mitchell knows his stuff. He said he hand picks every item in the store and I believe it. Most of the clothes I tried on were vintage but he also has some beautiful, high-end clothing that you won't find anywhere else in town. I walked out of there with an inflated ego, thanks to him. That's what shopping should feel like! Mitchell put a lot of thought into other details in this store. Vintage adult magazines, cool decor that you can only appreciate if you spend some time here, a few seats for those who want or need to sit (like my spouse, who patiently waited while Mitchell and I were busy) and two dressing areas created with custom-made knitted covers. Men and women alike will be entertained in this store for one reason or another. If you walk out with a purchase that you love, bonus. I easily could have bought 5 or 6 items (a combination of new and vintage) if it would have been in my budget for this trip. I would have been disappointed if I had missed stopping in here. read more

Mitchells Palm Springs - One of many outfits Mitchell brought to me that fit like a glove. This is a vintage jumpsuit. - Women's Clothing Near Me - Palm Springs, California

I would never support this store. On September 24, 2017 I saw this store owner come out of his store to harass a mom and her two children to get off his sidewalk which mind you is public property. Within seconds the store owner lost his temper and threw the women's purse to the floor and with poise the women picked up her belongs that fell to the floor and out of her purse and walked away with her children. She did not stoop to this terrible mans level. read more

This place is ridiculous. NEVER consign your clothing here. You will never get it back and you will never get your check when you sell something. Mitchell gives you the run-a-round, tells you to pick up your check, then says he is never there. Furthermore, his stuff is crappy and overpriced. Go to the FineArtofDesign in Palm Desert. Much better! read more

I'm not sure what people are talking about here, my experience was great. The store is filled with amazing pieces and Mitchell was very nice. He is knowledgeable and so helpful. I can't wait to visit again when I'm back in Palm Springs. read more

Vintage and past season fashion, reallllllly fabulous service, and vintage reading materials for your date to read while you try on. (Note: the edition of playgirl featuring Kurt Russell on the cover doesn't actually feature him in all his playgirl glory inside.) Some really gorgous vintage pieces to check out. A little on the expensive side, but that might just be my empty wallet speaking! When I'm wealthier, I'll go back! :-) read more

Meh. Probably best named Bitch-ells. Owner was extremely rude and actually boasted about talking down to his customers. How it was okay to treat us like children because that's all we were to him. Chastised us for picking up a "museum piece" that was haphazardly hung on a metal hanger on a rack. It's really nothing more than an over priced thrift store. I'd give it one star but the collection of vintage clothing was superb, it's just too bad his customer service skills were so terrible. read more

Men's & women clothing, shoes & accessories by the top designers of the world (Armini, Brioni, Louis Vitton, Gucci and much more) are here! Reasonable prices for great quality merchandise. Mitchell is a true subject matter expert on men's clothes. Be sure to introduce yourself to this first class gentleman. I snapped up a pair of loafers (never worn) along with two dress shirts for business. One of the shirts had French cuffs which I love. The stores selection is updated 4-5 times a week. This venue is nicely decorated, very neat, cool dressing rooms. read more

I ate next door at Thai Smile and was taken by the wonderful window display- I had to stop in here the following day to check things out. Frankly, I was blown away by the selection. Vintage Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior, D&G, and more. All of this is rounded out by vintage-y contemporary clothing that complements the vintage originals to perfection. Mitchell is such a friendly guy that knows every single item in his store and makes amazing recommendations. He brought me things which I would never have picked up for myself, but when I tried them on, I fell in love. I could have spent much more time (and money) here but wanted to make sure I was respectful to my patient partner who was waiting for me :) I will definitely stop back in to shop here, not only for the amazing items, but also for the awesome, personalized service. You have to stop here if you are a fashion lover! read more

I scored 3 St. John outfits at an incredible price! Even more incredible is that the store has a bunch of St. John in size 12, 14, and 16. The owner is super nice and helpful. He has so much stock the St. Johns were in the back and he went and got them for me. Can't wait to go back. read more

This place had a lot of great clothing on sale. It was above my price range, but it was good quality clothing and accessories.

So this is a place I want to come back to when I'm skinny and either wealthy or have a Splenda daddy. The owner is a sweetheart who is quick witted and knows how to give all the world fashion. I wish I could have bought something but my budget isn't ready. I love the fact the owner tries to accommodate all even plus size chicks like me. Vintage sadly isn't for big girls of this era as the norm sizes back then were 8-10. If you want a nice step back into Studio 54 this is it. read more

Great brand name steals! The owner is so helpful and helped me find a cute top! High end vintage lots of purses and leopard print jackets!

Store isn't bad at all. Really cool stuff. If this review was on the content of the store, it would get 5 stars. The owner, however, was quite rude. We had some friends from out of town visiting and decided to check out the store. We were laughing with each other while checking out the vintage merchandise but unfortunately I think the owner took it personally and thought we must have been laughing at his items. We were NOT running around his store acting like children. We were admiring what he had in the store. When my friend held up the one piece I was considering purchasing, a leather jacket from the 80s, to look at the embellishments on it, he came over and spoke down to us. After Telling us to not touch the leather, I listened to him and made sure we were only handling the hanger that the item was on. But he didn't stop there, he ranted on with his bitchy berating attitude. For the record, if something is a "museum piece" don't put it on a hanger on a rack. Put it behind glass. Or for a cheaper way out, hand-write a sign saying "please don't touch this jacket" and cover the item in plastic so your childish and "unwanted" customers won't destroy the leather by touching it. I, personally, love cool vintage stuff but would never again step foot in this store after experiencing the incredible bitchiness and intentional degradation from whomever the guy is who runs it. read more
