The former Steinmart which I've never been as well. A massive storefront that house amazing vintage pieces, both apparel and furniture. There's plenty of parking out front. Right at the front is the cashier which the gentleman working was a massive gem. The sweetest and friendliest. The layout of the place is an open storefront. Different vendors I believe that house their goods. Just walking through will take some time as there's literally something that will catch your eyes. Also located right at the front, a charcuterie mini truck. How cute to have something like that. Next to that is a specialty market which offers amazing wine options and cocktail mixes and liquor. Treats and more treats to accompany what you like to drink. A cute place with the vibe of a world market and specialty store. Walking through, there's so much to see. One of a kind art pieces to art deco, MCM, traditional and so much more. But if you're looking for clothes, it's heaven here. The options are endless. If you're a vintage lover, look no further. Racks and racks of amazing pieces. Just browsing the area took a while as something constantly was catching my eyes. I believe it's both local designer that have a storefront there as well. And then--cue the dramatic music--a 50-foot mannequin greeted me at the entrance like some fabulous fashion goddess welcoming me into another dimension. I was in a state of pure fashion bliss. And then I entered PSBS. And that, my friends, is where the novela began. I was browsing, looking at merchandise, minding my own business, when I approached the counter because I had a question. Suddenly, the cashier, "Chris," began shouting: "DON'T SOLICIT ME! DON'T SOLICIT ME!" Excuse me? I wasn't soliciting anyone. I was literally trying to ask a question. The entire interaction escalated so quickly that I found myself standing there thinking, What just happened? Did I accidentally walk into the season finale of a very dramatic telenovela? Chris became visibly red-faced and extremely agitated, and the intensity of the interaction was completely disproportionate to what was actually happening. I was simply a customer trying to ask a question, and suddenly I was on the receiving end of a level of anger I absolutely did not expect. At that point, the fashion fantasy was officially over. I did not feel comfortable or safe, so I left. And honestly? The 50-foot mannequin was the highlight of the entire experience. Market Market had me at Jeremy Scott and lost me somewhere around PSBS. If you're looking for liquor, I'd shop elsewhere and compare prices. But if you're looking for an unforgettable retail drama involving fashion, a giant mannequin, and an unexpected cashier confrontation... Well. Welcome to the novela.

The selection is seriously unmatched, with so many unique pieces, including designer finds and vintage Levis at prices that felt like an absolute steal. The shopkeeper was incredible. She went above and beyond, helping style looks, bringing pieces over, and giving me the full VIP treatment. On top of that, everything in the store was clean, fresh, and beautifully curated. The real reason this place stands out is what happened after I left. I realized I had lost my very expensive Meta sunglasses and was so upset because we searched everywhere and could not find them. Later that week, the shop owner reached out to me on Instagram to let me know she had found them and even offered to mail them back to me. That level of care is rare. Truly one of the best vintage shops I have ever been to. I will be coming back every time I am in Palm Springs.

Certain pieces in the racks of "too much print and color" were quite pretty, but having so much stuffed into the shop was a mistake. It made reviewing the pieces difficult, and gave an overall sense of gauche to the room. Service was non-existent during my time in the store, and the price was laughable. One piece in particular, a super cute wooden bracelet, reminded me of something my grandmother owned in the 80's and had purchased at a garage sale. Nothing I would ever pay $38 for, ever. I wouldn't return to Frippery.
