You'll find 60's & 70's mod & hippie styles mixed in with modern workwear like Dickies denim overalls. The store is designed with an ease for finding garments with little vignettes of complimentary oddities arranged in a shrine like fashion. I imagine the Coachella crowd eats up a lot of the merch here. Prices are very good for the wares; I saw a 60's faux fur tiger patterned coat for $250 that I've seen in L.A. for $800 for the exact same one. (it's killer - and I have one myself!) The woman working the counter was very friendly and was overheard recommending other vintage stores to customers which earns mad respect from me. My one piece of bitchery is due to the lack of parking; I have a car that I need to keep an eye on and I had to park far away which kept me a bit uncomfortable. Just spent about 20 minutes shopping picked out the cutest pair of dickies... they were $36. I went to pay with 100 and the lady would not take it. She said it would take all her change. Literally lost a sale. I've been in here before I probably won't ever come back.. it's 2026 stock your drawer with cash. And to be honest, I feel a little discriminated against. So you're telling me if anybody else pays in cash and it's under 100. It's OK. You can give change back at some point. You may give all the change away but at least you're making sales. I wonder if it had anything to do with all of my tattoos? So bizarre.. I encourage to find people who want to make your store money.. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! Every business should be required to keep their hours and open/closed days UPDATED on Yelp and Google. If you can't even take 5 minutes out of your day--or have one of your employees do it--to make sure your business info is correct, that's just BAD management. Period. People waste time, gas, and energy driving out to places that are closed when they say they're open. It's beyond frustrating and shows zero respect for your customers. Interesting collection of vintage and new. Most prices were very high. However, I did buy a vintage formal dress for $20. I didn't care for the mural on the building. It's offensive. I did think twice about going in because of that, but I had not been to Thriftology since they were previously located on San Pablo. I have been wanting to stop in for a while, so, I was curious. I thought they were more humble, but there's a sign on the door that tells you to leave if you are racist, misogynistic, etc. Of course nobody wants to be around this types of people. I get it. It's your business and you can refuse the right to do business with anyone, but it's so unnecessary and not very inclusive. How can you spot a racist? They have another store around back that carries lots of different spiritual paraphernalia. But not of the God kind. This place is not for everyone. It's definitely not for me. I'm good. Went on a Tuesday to do some shopping g before leaving Indio. I thought to call before making my way there but couldn't find a number to the store so decided to take a chance and pull up. This is the best thrift store in the entire Coachella Valley. The variety of clothes is great, and the sizes are well labeled. Everything is clean and well taken care of. Stock is moved frequently. But what makes the store heads and tails above any others is the owner Dutchess. Dutchess makes every guest feel like family. She is genuinely happy to see you and to help with any questions you may have. She supports local artists and gives them space in her store so it's a nice mix of vintage and handmade. What a fun shop. It reminds me of a curated thrift shop I remember in the 90s, Aardvarks, in The Valley, except this shop is more organized. The people that work here are delightful and made us feel welcomed, for sure. The owner and I briefly discussed a painting of NKOTB and it turns out both of us preferred Donnie ^_^ We found many statement pieces in the clothing section. I have been to several thrift stores in the area and this one is one is by far the most organized one I have been to. Not only are they size inclusive (I saw up to 4X in the store in every style of clothing for men and women) at AFFORDABLE prices, but their clothes are organized by size and type. There are cute little displays with earrings and other jewelry and trinkets, and some beautiful locally made candles and incense at the front. The decor is very whimsical and cool, and the staff was very sweet, especially the young man at the counter and the blonde woman with the piercings. The shop is clean and comfortable to navigate, and as someone who gets overwhelmed by the way some shops have their things strewn about, it was nice to have an easy way to find what I was looking for without stressing over it. I found my new favorite pieces and can't wait to come back to hunt for more. The best part is that I can wear them right off the rack since they are washed and smell sooooo good. If you are reading this review, you most likely searched Thrift/Second Hand/Vintage on Yelp and you are trying to decide which store out of the many available you should visit. STOP!!!! everything you are doing and put Thriftology at the top of your list!!! I've been to many Thrift stores, Antique Shops, Second Hand/Resale ect in this valley and I've also managed a luxury consignment store, so I have pretty well rounded experience in these types of shops. This shop is a gem! What I love about Thriftology, The owner, Dutchess and her staff are very genuine and friendly and not pushy at all. Realness in any sales person is a very underrated quality! Some luxury stores nearby should take notes! It has an eclectic mix of merchandise and each item is hand selected. There were some contemporary/designer clothing like the FP dress I purchased and the Miu Miu tee with holes in it(but only $10) also some vintage, some just totally random and unique, and some stuff just simple and cool(random graphic tees) the store itself smells amazing and has good music playing that really fit the vibe. Also very clean! the prices are fair!!! She pays for all of her merchandise and does the footwork to find the treasures. Her pricing is on par with standard second hand resale pricing which is usually 25-30 percent of retail value. Some items much less. (Especially compared to how some shops in this Valley price Vintage) THESE ARE NOT DONATIONS!!!! You are not gonna find $1 clothing or even $5(well maybe on sale rack which was 75%off) but another thing your not gonna find is a 20 racks worth off crap(that you have to spend hours looking through)that's dirty, boring, endless amounts of fast fashion brands like F21, like you would at a good will or angelview . (Which FYI: has raised there prices and are selling women's dresses for almost $10, used dirty shoes that are Walmart brands for $10... you get the idea!) another thing I love was how passionate the owner is about her business and you can see it the moment you walk in. She also sells some of her 2 daughters creations(included in pics), creativity apparently runs in the family. It's a decent sized store and is well merchandised so if your like me you can make your way through every section without spending the whole day or feeling like you missed something. Store is stocked but not over filled to where you can't move hangers!
