Chili chicken sandy & dressed greens
Rachel O.

My fave breakfast sandy in Providence remains undefeated: Honey chili chicken (gluten-free) biscuit sandy with double the greens on the side. Pro tip: 1 sandy on the weekend is about a 20 minute wait for takeout on average. 2 sandies on the weekend is about a 45 minute wait for takeout on average.

WOW-The accolades are so well deserved here. I had a delicious solo birthday brunch. The veggie scramble (add chicken oat sausage) was absolute perfection. Sparkling rose and espresso martini were perfect. Great play list and I LOVE that you arent sitting on top of the next table. Service was great. Cant wait to come back with the hubs and friends!

The fish special

Continues to be worthy of my Sixth Star award. A last minute lunch date, seated at the Chef's counter. Rigatoni boloñeses and fish sandwich were utter perfection. Staff is delightful and the place always ALWAYS has a great vibe. A MUST stop on Federal Hill.

Nick's felt like a warm hug...cozy, quaint, and full of heart. My sister-friend Kerline told us it was like a second home for them, and I totally get it now! I'm a super picky eater with a cinnamon allergy (epi-pen ready!), but they nailed it. I had the Breakfast Plus with well-done bacon, and let me tell you, the biscuit and blood orange jam stole the show. Everything was fresh, local, and full of flavor, right down to my Granny Squibb's organic tea. Husbae devoured the rhubarb-strawberry pancakes, chicken sausage, and home fries. We also tried a yogurt parfait that was missing the granola based on how it was described beforehand, but it was so good, I didn't ask for it! I loved hearing the kitchen crew communicate. I even heard my allergy mentioned, which gave me so much peace of mind. Our server was an absolute gem: kind, efficient, and totally on point. Bonus: they knew my friend Kerline but had no clue that I was Yelp Elite there to review. 10/10 from walk-in to walk-out. Keep shining, Nick's!

We love Nicks for brunch, or for a drink. At the bar, in the dining room, on the patio. Nicks drinks and menu covers it all. It's fresh, tasty and the prices are middle of the road. Tried and true, it's a go to!

Our last stop during our trip to Providence, could not have picked a better place to enjoy a brunch with autumnal staples. Probably the best egg benedict I've ever had. The fall drinks are also phenomenal in this cold weather

I feel like you know when your meal will be good when you see a small menu, intimate setting, and an open immaculate kitchen. We came here right before a show in Rhode Island and food did not disappoint. I had the cauliflower soup and roasted fish. It was my first time having fluke and it was perfectly done on a bed of lentils and vegetables. The finishing touch of warm chocolate banana bread with ice cream was perfect. I would definitely come back again just for this dish. Service was great, food pace was wonderful, and watching the chefs prepare the meal was a show in of itself. Will definitely be back for chefs tasting

Gorgeous food and 5 star service. Sit at the counter by the kitchen if you can and feel like you are in one of those hip food shows.

Years ago I lived in Providence and I came to Nicks every now and then for brunch, but haven't been back in years. After seeing a post on their Instagram about a special birthday prefixe menu, I figured it was a perfect excuse to come back and take my husband who had never been. We made early reservations and were seated right away by a very friendly hostess. Our server was great, making sure we had what we needed and refilling our glasses throughout the evening. The food was some of the best I've had in a long time, the courses were served in perfect timing, and we left fully stuffed (and in my case buzzed from all of the great drinks). Can't wait to go back to order off the regular menu and try more.

Limited menu. Which is good, no messing with bad dishes. No chicken dish.. my wife "loved it". All of it. attention to detail, food, service, plated food, atmosphere, her meal, her drink, etc... so did my daughter. I thought it was ok. Huge wine selection.

Pancakes drizzled with caramel and topped with homemade whipped cream and granola

Several people have recommended Nicks on Broadway to me and my only complaint is that I didn't go sooner. The atmosphere is definitely an upscale eatery so I would definitely plan to dress cute casual. We went for Sunday brunch and it may be my go to brunch special occasions. Let me first give a special shout out to the hot chocolate. My favorite hot chocolate in the world is at Harrod's in London and all other hot chocolate is a distant second until this one. I think this at least equal if not slightly better so well done! The pancakes drizzled with caramel on top were also fantastic. The pancakes are thin, almost like crepes but definitely like pancakes. They're amazing. Their flavor was so complimentary with the caramel. My husband ordered oysters which he was very happy with. He said the flavor was excellent and the presentation was just beautiful. I would highly recommend going in! FYI they do take reservations.

Gluten free options?

Im not 100% positive as Ive only been there once, but I seem to remember them having GF options

Do they have high chairs? Bringing one baby and I haven't been since pre-kids. Never paid attention then as to if things were kids friendly or not. 😬

They have! We just went today (9/2) with our 14 months old son !

We were lucky that another patron decided they wanted a table versus the chef's seat at the counter. For us, this is the perfect place to sit because it lets you take in the whole experience. The ambiance was great. I had the same great Negroni as last time, but also had a new take on an Old Fashioned called the Dinner Jacket. Very yummy! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Kohlrabi Caesar and sesame focaccia again. It was as great as the first time. The focaccia is amazing. My wife ordered the Anolini for her entree, and I ordered the fabulous rack of lamb cooked in the wood-fired oven. It was simply amazing. We ended by splitting the warm apple tart. Everything was fabulous...my rating is the same. Go and enjoy yourself.

Rating: 4.3 Came to…read moretry this place since i've heard good things about it. We made reservations for mother's day dinner. Parkings are street only and can be tough to come by. Luckily we did make reservation for early dinner so we were able to find parking right away. We got there early so the restaurant wasn't open yet. We took a walk around the Westminster for a bit until the place was open. We were sat down right away. Inside is cozy with dim lights and open kitchen and some tables. They have few outside seating available as well. We started with some appetizer raw fish and combo as well as kohlrabi Caesar. We got black bass and a seasonal fish with combo that included lightly roasted oysters, shrimp and squid. All seafood was directly sourced from local port and fresh. Seafood appetizer was delicious. The caesar was interesting. I've never had kohlrabi but it reminded me of radish and it was tasty. Personally i would have preferred little less salt and olive oil so that flavor of the raw ingredient stand out more but was not too bad. My entree was the seafood risotto. Flavorful risotto with some seafood on top. Was a bit messy to eat because of the shells but was flavorful. The crab and shellfish itself was small and a bit underwhelming but the rice was rich and full of fish flavor. My mother had the cacio e Pepe which was good but she said that nothing comparable to one she had in Rome. I was not a huge fan of the thicker pasta but that's just is personal preference. Service was excellent but the table was a bit small and tight as we were very close to the next table and can hear what others are talking about so not a very privately setting. Overall i did like the place. Food and service were good. But it was not anything exceeding expectation and there were few things that detracted from our experience such as heavy seasonings, small dining space and etc... The price is quite expensive for the amount of food they serve as well. I think it's a good place for special occasions.

The space is a large modern hanger-style food court with a large bar station and plenty of seating in and outdoors on large patio. Wonderful for families and groups to gather around at long large tables. We found a table by the end by a large screen wall tv with sports on and comfy leather club chairs Great for drinks and talking. First stop, we stood at the bar and ordered our drinks ($14 cocktails). And got big glasses of ice water and headed to our table. We then we split up and everyone walked the hall looking at menus. We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. For my entrée, I selected the minced lamp, kebabs over eggplant with pita and an added extra cucumber yogurt dip $29. This was all very tasty And costs about $50 with tip. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. It was a nice time sitting around and talking, but then it got very crowded and very noisy and people were hovering by 5:30 to take our tables and even asked if we were getting up soon. It was a cold chilly day, but the overflow folks were headed outside of the picnic tables, which seemed very cold to me, but on a warm day I would all be very nice. A note on parking, we parked in the adjacent parking garage right near behind Track 15 and get your ticket validated inside at wall kiosk by the door when Leaving. This will save you, so two hours cost about $8.95.

Looked at all of our options and I decided to go with Mexican from Dolores and my wife decided to go with Giusto PVD. I wish I had chosen Italian over Mexican. I've been dying to try Dolores so I opted to have three different tacos after asking the girl at the register if she would recommend their chicken sandwich over the tacos. She told me that everything was good so I went with the ribeye taco, the shrimp taco and the mushroom taco. The ribeye taco was fantastic. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them. My wife had an eggplant Parm sandwich and it was cooked perfectly, looked delicious and I wish I had gotten that. I really wanted to order a long Liv beer, but the bartender was talking to someone, I assume that they knew, as although I was only the second person in line I didn't get waited on for over 10 minutes. I ended up walking away to go get my food and just drank water. So my first experience here was not great, overall I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm going to go back and try again as there are a few other restaurants. I really do like the idea of being able to get dishes from different restaurants, pick your own seat and sit with other people at a community table. It's really nice inside and they had live music tonight, which would've been great if we wanted to stay. Next time I go back, I'm definitely having Italian, pizza and some falafel. Dolores was 2 stars Bart was 1 star Giusto was 5 stars Bus boy gets 5 stars too

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.
