Best pizza I've had in New England (I've only lived there for a year, but I've sought out a lot of pizza in that short life) Well designed and impeccably executed designer slices. I just moved to providence. Went with my Girlfriend and we both loved the arugula pizza. It is to die for. Excellent customer service. Very friendly staff. We loved it so much we ordered some to go for our boys. It took 5 minutes so we went to grab a quick drink at the new Gina's bar located behind the storefront. Great little spot and I will definitely be back. read more

I remember when Nice Slice was on Thayer Street. At the time it was still heavily competing against other pizza businesses like Antonio's, Pizza Pier, Fellini's, and Via Via even. They came in and dominated the competition. I moved away and came back over the holidays to learn they had relocated to Westminster Street. Great, larger space. I was blown away. Same recipe! Easily this is the best pizza in RI, New England, the East Coast (yeah equal to NJ and NYC pizza), and even the country. I had a Sicilian slice, bbq chicken or mushroom (can't remember, hazy new year's day purchase) and another one with veggies. So good. Thanks for making a great pizza! I have been vegan for two years & could never find a great vegan pizza place. I came here and was AMAZED. They use the best tasting vegan cheese (NOT DAIYA). I got the half buffalo half BBQ pizza. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Service is great as well. My boyfriend (whose not vegan) got the half regular buffalo half steak bomb. He said he would HIGHLY recommend the steak bomb. read more

This is the type of pizza I like! big slices (I didn't realize how big so i ordered a whole pie,lol) tons of cheese, pepperoni ,mushrooms, onion with chewy crust with CRUNCH! For me, this will be the pizza that all others will be judged by in this style of pizza... (Apizza New Haven ). Everything was just right, perfect amount of sauce and toppings, it really was a fantastic foodie experience that I highly recommend. I love pizza, and I travel for it, so believe me when I say this is a must try. The folks cheffing it up were very nice as well. I haven't had Nice Slice since I lived in Providence 10-11 years ago, and I used to get the vegan Earth Crisis pizza (which is also awesome). I can happily report that the pizza now is still as bomb as it was back then. Both of these pizzas were delicious, and would 100% order again. I'm somewhat surprised that in 2020 there are still so many restaurants that don't even have one vegan friendly option and I find it annoying, so I'm super stoked when I see places like Nice Slice that have a pretty extensive menu for the vegan community. And they do such a good job of it that there's nothing about traditional pizza that I miss. Kudos to you, Nice Slice! read more

I don't think I had ever been to Nice Slice. I know they've been around for a while but have moved either once or twice. Started going there reverently, as it's a good mid point between work and home. We always get the margherita pizza with pepperoni. It is a pretty good pizza. Love the fresh basil put on the pizza after it's cooked. Seems a little pricey for the average person but we know a good pizzas worth when we see one. read more

Really good pizza. The bread in New York style not Greek. The sauce has a great tang. I love that they put the cheese on first then the sauce. The crust had a nice crunch and chew. Not a lot of flop , when you held a piece. The cheese was of good quality , so were the sausage and mushrooms . I forgot to take a picture because I was too hungry! Their pizza is only sold in one size and it is hand thrown!! The size of the pizza makes a perfect thin slice of pizza. It also tastes great the next day. read more

Nice Slice delivers on the hype. The crust is absolutely fantastic. The sauce is a little on the sweet side for my taste, but it's a minor complaint, not even enough to knock a half-star off the rating. It's still a fantastic flavor, and adding pepperoni helps to cut the sweetness. They also have a solid and enjoyable take on Buffalo Chicken Pizza, which I'm thrilled to report doesn't come drizzled with Bleu cheese dressing or Bleu cheese crumbles. Just un-fried chicken and a hearty amount of Buffalo sauce and cheese. The service has always been, in my experience, fast and pleasant, no-nonsense but not unwelcoming. I'll always mourn the demise of the golden age of Thayer Street, but am thrilled that Nice Slice has found a new home on the West End. read more

Rad staff here to start. Younger kids but still hospitable. The place was super clean and organized. Pizzas always on display and back ups cooking in the oven. They are defiantly on top of their game. So many pizzas to choose form. Sucks for me though I'm limited to 1 pizza because I'm a vegan. I simple chose this place because not many places actually serve good and real vegan pizza. They always have a different pie a day for us. They keep the vegan pizza separate from the others which I appreciate. My bbq Chick'n pizza was amazing with bbq sauce, red onions and vegan cheese. The bottom of my pizza was a tad dark and charred. That was the only negative thing. I wish it wasn't but it was still so amazing. Us Vegans thank you. I will be back for sure. Next time hopefully the pizza is a little less over done and maybe another vegan pizza like buffalo Chick'n?!?! read more

I like their thin crust pizza. The West side place is larger than the old Thayer location with more seating and the same quality ingredients. Got a pesto pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both were excellent and the staff is always friendly and nice. Nice that you can get several types of pizza by the slice quickly. They reheat them for you in their mega oven and they come out warm and crisp at the bottom. Still a good place for pizza. read more

Nice little urban pizza place featuring decently sized, thin crust triangles of delicious. Fresh, tasty dough, really fantastic sauce (could have used a little more), legit cheese, of I lived nearby I'd be here often. Add sodas in glass bottles and a variety of funky beverages to go with a pretty decent selection of slice pies and made to order menu pizzas and this is a must try if you're in the neighborhood for a game at Classical or Central High. Nice people, cool atmosphere, good food and decent prices as well. Well worth a stop. read more

Close to perfection! I grew up in NJ but never knew RI was so serious about pizza. This place has wonderful crust and balance of cheese and sauce. We tried the chicken ranch, steak, cheese and Sicilian slices. All were great but I was especially surprised that the Sicilian was so light and airy. read more

Nice Slice is a good place to get pizza for both vegans and non-vegans alike because they have options for both. The cool thing about them is that they have vegan pizza by the slice. The only other place I can think of that sometimes has vegan pizza by the slice is Whole Foods. My fav vegan pizza flavors are the bbq chix and vegan cheese pizza. My husbands fav is the vegan buffalo chix so we often get half bbq/half buffalo. I believe the vegan cheese they use is the Follow Your Heart Brand. My only complaint about the pizza is that I find the dough to be quite chewy in comparison to other pizzas I've had where it hurts my jaw after eating a couple of slices. read more

I waited an extra 20 minutes for my order, to discover that they forgot to make one of my pizzas and informed me that I needed to wait another 15 minutes. I asked them to remake the first pizza too so it wouldn't be sitting there, getting cold. And they refused. I asked for a partial refund, and they refused. Now I go home with one hot and one cold pizza. Worst part is that I didn't get an apology and there was no urgency to make that forgotten pizza quickly. It's a shame I gave them a good tip when I preobecause it's the worst customer service I've ever received. Update: When I got home, I learned that one of those pizzas that cost $24 didn't have prosciutto on it. Unbelievable. read more

Have heard about Nice Slice for a while but haven't had the opportunity to try it until last night. My Fiance and I stopped in for a quick dinner. It was nice to find a place that not only had Vegan Pizza, but had it by the slice. I had a vegan veggie supreme and a vegan margherita. SO, SO good! I forgot how tasty pizza was with "cheese" as I haven't had cheese in almost 15 years! My fiance got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of BBQ Chicken. Everything was excellent and we both agree that the crust is the perfect combo of soft and crunchy! Best part - pizza and soda for both of us was $20! Cannot wait to go back! read more

The crust is crispy and thin so you really get to taste all the toppings. The arugula one was really good. I enjoyed the different flavors: sweet, salty, creamy, acidic, and surprisingly, the arugula was not overly bitter. The sun-dried tomato one was also good. I am typically not a fan but this one was good since the tomato wasn't tough, or overly acidic. I would highly recommend Fellini's for great food at a good price. I would consider this location to be better for quick trips, or take out to eat the food at the Pedestrian bridge, but they do have another location in Cranston which is prettier and bigger for sit down, family style, and large groups.

The French fries were another issue--they appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer as seafood. This wasn't disclosed, and the fries came out tasting noticeably fishy. Thankfully, I don't have a seafood allergy, but that could be a serious concern for someone who does. The ambiance was fine, but overall the food and service left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Also, the last time we went they gave our pizza to someone else! They re-fired it and were apologetic but it was frustrating to have to wait that long.

Between my husband and I, we ordered the caprese salad and meatballs appetizers, sliced strip steak with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, a fettuccine with asparagus and prosciutto with cream sauce, and dessert was the pannecotta and cannoli. Pasta was freshly made and al dente, steak was tender and flavorful. We loved everything. My only complaint that for a large restaurant, bathroom was small. Only one unit per gender.

Service was excellent but the table was a bit small and tight as we were very close to the next table and can hear what others are talking about so not a very privately setting. But it was not anything exceeding expectation and there were few things that detracted from our experience such as heavy seasonings, small dining space and etc...
