Don't be fooled by the discount. This is one of the worst places I've ever had my nails done. Wait time. They don't honor your appointment. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes before they got to me. Customer service. This part...I can't even. The lady seemed really annoyed that I had shellac on because it means she needed to do some extra work to take it off. She was doing my nails like she was pulling weeds out my yard- not gentle at all. At some point she raised her voice at me telling me to relax my hands- wow. After I reminded her I was actually a customer she started to change her tune- you know for that precious tip. I hate being that person not leaving a tip but I just could t after that excruciating experience. There's plenty other salons in the area. I have been going to this location for years. The owner and his wife are always very personable and kind to me. I have never left with a with a manicure or pedicure I wasn't extremely happy to pay full price for. I'd ignore some of the negative reviews, I've been there when customers come in and are extremely rude, makes me sad to see people treat others that way. I've been here 3 times so far and each time has been okay, but after this recent experience, I don't know if I'll come back again. I stopped by Monday afternoon after work and they said they have all the time for me today since it's been slow. It's my first time getting a pedi so I'm no expert but it felt pretty rush because I think the lady was suppose to go on lunch soon? After a quick wash, massage, etc., she applied all the coats one after another then put it under the dryer which was blowing cold air...then another lady came to take over and asked me to move from the chair to a seat at the table for my mani. I had to walk there when my toe nails weren't completely dry with no toe spacers. Everything was okay until the lady started peeling the cuticles off each nail (which I never had done before) then she did the same thing where she applied all coats and put my hand in the dryer. After drying, I looked at my nails and a few were poorly done plus there was a eyelash stuck in one! I told the lady about the eyelash and she just applied another coat to cover it and asked if I'll like another...yuck no thank you!! It was $42 total and I still left about 15% tip since they were nice but never getting it done here again especially because after 2 days, I realized you should ever be peeling the cuticles off your nails because cuticles are healthy and my skin below is peeling now :( read more

What's NOT NICE about Nice Nails and Spa: The pain around my nails! OUCH. The cuticles around two of my nails were definitely bleeding and I can still feel stinging in other areas, especially underneath my thumb nail :( The length of some of my nails are uneven! It's not totally obvious and it's worse on my right hand than my left, but I did mention the inconsistencies during the process. My nail was so terribly lopsided that she tried to fix it three times and ended up just filing it down more to the point where the acrylic meets my actual nail length. They advertise in at least 4 different spots around the salon that if you like/comment on their Facebook page OR WRITE A YELP REVIEW, you'll be entered into a contest to win a free mani/pedi every two weeks. I went here with my maid of honor (MOH) and now husband last Thursday to prepare for our Saturday wedding. We only recently moved to Seattle so I don't yet know where to go so I relied on yelp reviews. womp. we had made a 5pm appointment a few weeks in advance and confirmed it day of. 2 mani pedis, one pedi. we arrived, picked our colors (none for husband), waited 15 min, and we're brought to some chairs in the room in the back. I sat in the middle, my then fiance and my MOH on either side. someone came immediately to start on her pedi. 5 minutes later someone came to start on my husbands pedi. 10 or 15 minutes later someone finally starts on mine, but the moment she sits down she starts loudly talking in another language and the other two laugh and join in.. so the three of us are forced to shut up and watch them talk quietly because we can't hear each other over them. someone comes and starts shaping my MOHs nails, but no one comes for me. oh, and they use the same cuticle cutters on my MOH as they use on me because they dropped hers on the floor. puuuuuke. my MOHS pedicure is finished and her nails are done except for polish, she is led to the next room to get shellac polish. my husbands pedi is done and he goes to wait in the sitting room. my pedi is done minus any polish and my nails have not been touched. the lady working on me, bored I suppose now that her friends are gone, leaves. I sit alone on the pedi chair waiting for 10 minutes before someone comes to paint my nails. I think she is the owner because she is the only one not in a uniform. she finishes and leads me to the nail station to get my mani. I sit beside my MOH who is almost done wth hers and am left alone. I sit there waiting, alone, as my MOHs is finished and as my husband sits in the waiting area patiently. 10 minutes later someone shows up, shapes my nails, and leaves. I sit alone for another 10 minutes. the owner lady comes to paint my nails. MOH has been done for a while now and is just hanging out beside me to keep me company--it's not busy so there are plenty of chairs. owner lady puts on a base coat and then gets up and leaves. 5.. 10..15 minutes pass.. no sign of owner lady or anyone else who may paint our nails. it's already 6:30 and we had planned to be out by 6. poor hubby has been waiting alone for an hour. MOH goes to ask the man at the front desk if someone will finish my nails. he test us the woman who did my base coat (who I'm calling owner lady) is waxing someone and will be back right away. wtf???!! she just decided after doing my base coat to take an entirely different client without a word to me. we wait another 5 minutes.. if this hadn't been for the wedding I'd have walked out, but I had limited options. owner lady returns and wastes some time arguing with me over the color I wanted. she keeps insisting I can't have one coat of one color over two coats of another.. even though that's what I always get. we point out that's exactly what MOH got so she finally gives in. Finally it's around 6:45 but we make it out. My husband paid and tipped while we were waiting which is too bad... we always tip 20% but in this case way less would be appropriate. Each mani pedi was $60 and mine at least was a terrible experience. they didn't do a terrible job.. but they didn't do a great one either. I'll post a pic. Even with a reservation I had to wait waaay too long for an expensive treatment and shoddy work. Not worth it. I called first thing in the morning hoping I could make a reservation for the afternoon, and spoke to someone who was curt and not friendly at all. After a conversation that couldn't have lasted fifteen seconds (and being scheduled for mid afternoon) I hung up thinking "maybe I won't go....". It was not a good first impression! I arrived early enough to pick out a shellac for a pedicure (which turned out to be $40!) and a regular polish for a manicure ($15) and still had extra time to sit and relax. The waiting booth is extremely small and a lot of customers had to cram together and stand while waiting! I thought I was good to go with my reservation, by I ended up waiting over 20 minutes just to get started AND wasn't given priority for my reservation --- the owner asked me and a woman (who came in after me and didn't have a reservation) who wanted to go first. Uhhhh.... what?! Pedicure first, and the gentle and lovely Moon did a great job. It took 40 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes, I got the manicure by Tina that didn't have much attention to detail, which was obvious because she kept looking away while doing my nails (poor filing job, poor coverage, and a few extremely tender/red spots around my cuticles). read more

They consistently do an excellent job with pedicures, shellac manicures, and dip manicures. Kim is the absolute best at dip manicures and I would recommend her to everyone! She definitely knows what she's doing and even gives advice on how to keep my natural nails healthy. They've always been able to help me as a walk-in, but definitely call ahead to get an appointment with Kim specifically. I got a Spa mani-pedi (regular polish) for $42. Included a sugar scrub, hot stone and lotion massage and a paraffin treatment. I judge my pedicures by how relaxed my feet feel afterwards, the shape and polish on my nails. The pedicure massage was a 7 out of 10. Even after the scrub and brief stone massage I felt the massage technique was just average. The pressure was too soft and not very soothing. I felt it was also too short. The manicure was nice but also fell short on massage technique. I was so happy that it included a shoulder massage but the massage was just average. The salon was busy so maybe that was the reason. I plan to give them a second try and hopefully get better massages. The manager was super sweet but he should get his license to do nails because they only had 2 ladies on a Friday night and had to turn people away because they were short. If he had jumped in and helped out with doing nails the women would feel less pressure. Nails look great though! read more

The lady that did my pedicure seemed nice so I feel bad saying this, but it was the biggest waste of time and money. She went through the motions- clipped nails, massaged a scrub around my feet and lower legs, put my feet in bags of parrafin, pathetically filed the bottom of my feet (I'm actually glad she didn't spend too much time here since she used a reusable cheap plastic tool, my fault for not paying attention and making sure everything was new/disposable) and painted my toe nails. There was no cuticle care, pumicing of heels, cleaning under nails, etc. The paint is already chipping and it's only been 4 days! I could have saved a lot of time by staying home and painting my own toes. Needless to say first time, last time. read more

So i thought I'd give them another chance, I call ahead to make sure they have time before I waste my time and show I up. They assure me that they have time and there's no wait, I continually ask them to make sure they have time, since it is usually busy. Again they assure they do, I come in only to be told that no they don't actually have time and I have to wait 45mins. They do this all the time they tell you they have time or "make an apt" and yet you still end up having to wait. They just want to get you in there, not worth the wait. The work - I had a mani/pedicure at this place and yet I have never had such a bad manicure where the paint was uneven at all. I can't wait to get home to wash them off from my hands. Too ugly. However, they just were not very efficient during my visit. I went in for a gel mani and gel pedi. I was there for almost 3 hours. Most of the time, I was waiting on a technician. I think this place could be great, but they just need to figure out how to circulate their technicians more efficiently. However, I did notice that drop-ins and other guests did not have to wait. Probably 3 ladies were able to get in and out for their pedicures in the time I was still waiting in the chair. So, service might just be a little spotty.
