Complete hidden gem here in DB! We got the taro bun, perfectly soft baked and filled with fresh taro and chewy mochi. We also got the beef sando which was a nice savory item. Very kind staff and underrated bakery!

We got on the waitlist for Torotea at the Montefino Shopping Center in Diamond Bar. Ni Ni Bakery is right next door to Torotea. While waiting to be notified, my eldest daughter and I walked into this bakery to check out their goodies. It was towards early evening so selection of pastries and all were quite limited. The pastries along the wall didn't catch my eyes as much as the slices of cakes that were in the refrigeration at the front counter area. We ended up getting one slice of chiffon vanilla cake and one slice of tiger vanilla cake. I enjoyed the chiffon vanilla cake more than the tiger vanilla cake. The former was moist and light where the latter was thick and dense in texture. Both were still great slices. I probably won't get the tiger vanilla cake again though. I wouldn't mind getting the chiffon vanilla cake again. Lady staff was pleasant. Service was good. Inside atmosphere was okay... lots of pretty red decor. Parking can be challenging. It's a little snugged so do be careful backing in and out of the parking space. Btw, they don't just sell pastries and cakes. They have a full wall of drink offerings. We didn't get any drinks that day since we were going for Torotea. Perhaps next time, we'll give their drinks a try. Great to have a bakery next to Torotea. Thanks Ni Ni!

I just so happened to try a cake at an event a year ago and found out it came from this bakery. The cake was a simple sponge cake but so delicious that I needed to come give these folks some business. I was glad to come here to find a beautiful selection of baked snacks and ready-made cakes, with the option for custom orders as well. They also make fresh drinks too. I selected a few baked items to take home, but the highlight of my visit was the Taro Mochi Bun. OMG, whatever you do next in your lifetime, make a plan to try this. My life was going in a downward spiral, but this saved me. Just kidding, but yes, these are too good to not pass up. I don't needed to describe tasting this, but if you say Taro Mochi Bun out loud, it's basically calling out the holy trinity of yum. I spoke to the lady behind the counter and the cakes are decently priced. Around the $40 range for a standard, and a little more with fresh fruit added. Either way, a nice spot. My only gripe is that the parking lot is a hot mess, because it's limited and tiny. Also the other drivers who go to this strip mall, I assume, are legally blind.

TLDR: grab and go Chinese bakery, avoid if you care THAT much about service When I go to a Chinese bakery, I'm going solely for the bread, especially if there's no seating and it's grab-and-go. So if the bread is good, the lady can cuss me out and I won't care as long as I get my goods. That said, the owner of Ni Ni will not cuss you out (don't worry), but she primarily speaks Mandarin, so do give her a bit of grace. The taro mochi buns and coffee chocolate buns are my favorite. Not very sweet but still quite decadent from the amount of filling. Parking is a bit difficult but it's better after Torotea lost some of its hype.

We purchased a $44 taro cake to celebrate my mom's birthday. When we removed the fruit to cut the cake, we noticed that several pieces of fruit were already moldy, and the top layer of cream was also contaminated. We called the store immediately. The staff member who answered the phone asked us to bring the whole cake back for an exchange. I explained that we had already cut the cake and eaten a few pieces, and she specifically said that was fine, even if we only had photos, or no photos at all, and that she would still honor a replacement cake. Based on that conversation, we decided to bring only the fruit back to show them. When we arrived at the store, another staff member told us that since we did not bring the entire cake and that only the fruit was bad, she could exchange the fruit only, not the cake. She also stated that the staff member who answered the phone was new and had not explained things clearly. Although we were eventually given a replacement cake, the experience was very unpleasant. There was no acknowledgment of fault, no apology, and our question about when the cake was made was not answered. The replacement was given reluctantly. We have been loyal customers of this bakery for many years and have always had wonderful experiences celebrating special occasions with their cakes. It is truly disappointing to see the decline in both cake quality and customer service.

Amazing tasing buns here at ni ni bakery. Their peanut butter bun is one of my favorite buns. Its got a nice creamy texture with minced peanuts on top of a baked pineapple bun. Their red bean bun is a favorite of my daughter and our family. Can't go wrong with the red bean bun staple. Got their meat floss bun but have not tried it yet, but i am sure its delicious because of the combination of meat floss and buttery goodness bun. The coconut and raisin bun is also a super delicious with a nice balance of coconut and raisin. Also a staple for those who love coconut buns. Highly recommend you stop by here for their buns. They also have drinks on deck and coffee. I have yet to try their drinks but will try it one of these days.

NINI BAKERY, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH Thank you so much for saving me from my hunger as I was waiting like a fool next door for Torotea. Your green onion bread and curry cake is amazing and kept me well fed but your turnip cake was the shining star!! The first bite of your turnip cake was first love and i had to come back immediately to buy 6 more for about $13 and save $2 ish. You can mix and match with the turnip cake and curry cake. You are a hole in the wall gem, please don't ever leave meeeeee

Bought some pastries here while we were waiting in line and they were tasty! Prices are reasonable and the bread is soft. I got the mini hot dog buns and garlic bread and enjoyed both. We came in the later afternoon so the selection wasn't as vast but still got some good things! Will be back when I'm in the area!

Located right next to toro tea. Decided to stop in while on the waitlist. This little bakery has some delicious pastries, cakes, macaroons, breads and teas. Friendly service welcoming atmosphere. The pastries and breads are in display cases you can open and grab as they are individually wrapped. A similar routine like 85 bakery. Refrigerated items are neatly packaged for travel. They take card with a minimum $10 otherwise there's a .50 cent charge. Fruit cocktail cake was light and spongy with just the right amount of sweet. The red bean bun was super soft a tasty bite. So if you ever find yourself on the waitlist for some tea stop in here for a treat while you wait.

Their cakes are fluffy and not too sweet! One of our go-to birthday cake spots. They have different ones to choose from. I've always called in to reserve/make before pick up. Not sure if they have any premade for sale. Staff was so sweet when we asked to write our name on the mango cake, there wasn't any space or area that was flat enough to do so. They offered a white chocolate plaque and red food gel to write it instead. They always give us a $2 coupon off their pastries when we purchase a cake but we don't ever come by this bakery unless we're picking up a cake.

I was in the area and didn't realize that there was a location in Diamond Bar. I usually go to the one in Rowland heights, and I get the bread with the egg salad. So I go to this location and see that they still have some available. Initially I wasn't going to get it because it was later in the day, and thought they might not be as fresh. Should have trusted my instincts! I take a couple a bite and notice that the filling tasted super sour...take another small piece to confirm what I'm tasting and it was just terrible! I called to ask them if it was supposed to taste like that..the lady I spoke to said that it was and that they put ketchup on it. It tasted as sour as pickle juice, don't think that's normal. I honestly wanted to get my money back for the two I bought which comes out to be almost $10, after speaking to the lady, I knew that wasn't going to happen... even though they are affiliated with them, I'll stick to the Rowland Heights location. What a waste.

Lots of variety of bread and very friendly staff! They also have a lot of traditional Chinese pastries like mooncakes and a huge menu for drinks at a decent price point! They have a few cake options as well. I tried their flakie cake recently and that was good. Not too sweet and has nice crispy flaky layers. I tried their egg, potato salad bread which was pretty good. The ingredients are very fresh. The actual bread itself was just ok, like plain bread. They had some items by the cashier for buy two get one free. There is a minimum requirement of $10 to use a credit card. It's very convenient for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Such a cute little bakery in Rowland Heights!…read more The coffee buns are super fresh, soft, and fluffy, with that delicious crispy coffee topping. They bake them fresh multiple times throughout the day, and you can definitely tell. I also love that they have several different flavors, so there's something for everyone. I really enjoyed their Matcha Frappuccino too! Just know that it's more like a matcha smoothie than a traditional matcha latte. Don't expect a super strong or intense matcha flavor--it's creamy, refreshing, and still really good! My teenage daughter really liked it too, and she normally doesn't like matcha when the flavor is too strong. And surprisingly, one of my favorite things was the pineapple soft serve! It totally satisfied my Dole Whip craving without having to make a trip to Disneyland. Between the fresh coffee buns, drinks, soft serve, bingsu, and scones, there's a lot to choose from. Definitely a fun little spot to check out in Rowland Heights!

This spot has been my after lunch dessert place! We finally got to try their coffee buns the last…read moretrip and they were sooo good. They are made fresh daily and my only regret is not coming sooner so I could have bought more. We also tried their croffle (croissant waffle) which was a nice hot treat as well. They serve pineapple soft serve here which is my son's favorite and they also have milk soft serve! Will definitely be back next time I get my sushi fix next door.
