We fined here twice on a recent trip and high days we're satisfied with the food compared to a…read morerecently opened dumpling restaurant across the street from our hotel. Both times we ordered the cucumber dish as well as the green onion pancakes because they were delish. The pancakes were thin and crispy and the cucumbers were pickled and came as 2 pieces, wound in a spiral mound. On the first night we had pork XLB, full of bursting soup upon a bite. The fried rice was Ok but Hubby liked more than I did. The second night, we tried Dan Dan noodle. It was pretty spicy but had a nice flavor. We tried the chicken XLB instead. I preferred the pork XLB over the chicken. We also tried the pork pan fried buns, cane as 4 pieces and I liked them better than the XLB. Servers are nice but not very attentive. You place your order on the QR code and they basically bring you the dishes and drinks. Food arrived quickly.

My boyfriend and I wanted to sit down after walking around the convention on Saturday so we decided…read moreto stop by here. Luckily, there was a table available for us despite how busy they were. Our waitress was very sweet and did her best during the rush. The space was pretty but we were in the corner of the restaurant so we couldn't see much. I got the shrimp tempura udon and a Shirley Temple while my boyfriend got the salmon poke bowl and a Seattle roll. The food didn't take long to get but it came one by one instead of all at the same time. Also my boyfriend didn't get his poke bowl for the longest time and no one even noticed until we mentioned it to our waitress and she shares the kitchen decided to take their lunch after thinking they were done. The food was alright for what it is as they were generous with portions. I did appreciate the little spicy flakes on my udon, though wish that they would leave it on the table as I would have enjoyed my udon more as it offered a nice spicy kick. The poke bowl was beautifully arranged and had lots of different ingredients. The Shirley Temple was also well made, but no refills. The Seattle roll was rolled up nice with a good ratio of salmon and avocado. The food isn't memorable but it isn't bad for something quick and filling.

As a dairy-free regular, I loved the original El Borracho: generous burritos, an extensive vegan…read moremenu, and amazing sauces worth coming back for. The current sauces missed the mark. I used to add meat to a vegan burrito and make it my own dairy free dream. Returning after years away, it's clearly under new ownership, and the quality has nosedived. Portions are less than half what they used to be, the sauces have changed, and the menu is a skeleton of unrecognizable, low-quality items the original never had. I paid $11 for a burrito I could make at home for $1.50. Downtown Seattle needs vegan options, but corner-cutting this obvious won't go unnoticed to returning customers like me. I'd be surprised if it's open in a year. I wish the new owners had simply rebranded, because trading on the El Borracho name for this was very disappointing. Major bummer! Bring back the old menu!

This was my first time stepping foot inside Life On Mars. I always walked by the facility, but now I have finally been! We arrived as a group of three at first and grew to five later on. We came during the second Happy Hour; 11PM-2AM. We were quite exhausted at this point of the day but still ordered a drink to sip on through the night. I ordered the The Opener (green tea vodka, elderflower, lemon, and soda). It was only $10, which is amazing! Drinks were definitely on the heavy side for us (nothing wrong with that). Staff were friendly and helpful. They provided us plenty of water!

Enjoyable and fun Asian spot in Cap Hill…read more This is always a popular place when we're there. Small wait to sit down and busy with lots of conversation, eating, and motion in the restaurant. They are noted for their handmade/pulled noodles. I like the spicy one. Family likes the kids version. The dumplings are okay, but not superior if you like meaty and rich flavor. The Mapo Tofu is reliable for good flavor and hitting home on a cool day. I haven't had the noodles in soup; only in sauce. But friends like it "wet". Their milk tea is pretty good, too.

It is named after the singer Brandi Carlile, not to be confused with Belinda Carlisle, the lead singer of the Go-Go's. I had the flat iron steak and fries. It came with a peppercorn cream sauce that was fantastic. The steak was cooked medium rare, as I requested, and was quite tasty dipped in the sauce. My sister ordered the beef short ribs and an apricot caprese. The short ribs came with asparagus, a chayote puree, and was topped with a spring onion chermoula, which she removed because it was too spicy. The apricot caprese consisted of whipped mozzarella, mint, sprouts, and pistachios with crostini. It was a big hit. They also have an extensive drink menu and my sister had a Zazzou mocktail made with pineapple juice and hibiscus. She enjoyed it. Both of our meals were served fairly quickly and our waitress was attentive. I highly recommend the Carlile Room for a scrumptious dinner in downtown Seattle.

Regarding the ambiance, its casual here. You order at the counter and are given a number sign. The food is brought out quickly by the friendly staff. You bus your own dishes here, so tip accordingly. I would def return if I was in the Capitol Hill/Convention Ctr area of Seattle. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

We decided to get the cheapest AYCE option and I kind of regret it because there are so little options for veggies and meats. The meat quality was obviously not as great as Dolar Shop and I only got to eat Chinese cabbage. The broth was decent though. The sauce station and the dessert/snack section were pretty good too. I enjoyed making my own combination of iced jelly dish. On the other hand, I also got the rice as a side, and the rice quality wasn't there. Haidilao had its wins somewhat, but honestly I would still pay extra $20 to go to the other store that I have already mentioned too many times here.
