I booked with Erik at Next Level Movers and paid a deposit to secure my moving date. On the day of the move, I heard absolutely nothing from him -- no heads-up, no update, nothing. I had to reach out myself when he failed to show at his promised arrival time. Only then did he call back to inform me that his previous job was running late and that I could either wait an unknown amount of time, reschedule, or cancel and get my deposit back. I chose to cancel. Erik has since refused to return my deposit despite multiple follow-up messages. My experience with NXT Level Moving began positively. Oliver was helpful and professional during the initial planning process. I was quoted just under $8,000 for my move. To ensure accuracy, I walked through my home with multiple people and intentionally overestimated our inventory. When the movers arrived, only one worked consistently while the other spent significant time on his phone. They used my husband's tools and our personal packing supplies, including boxes, packing paper, and tape. We were assured that everything would fit on the truck. My husband was asked to sign a document allowing a possible price increase "just in case." Despite this, the movers did not disassemble major furniture. Several large items--including half of our dining table, a grill, and a Blackstone--were left behind or lost. We were told our belongings would arrive on December 22, but they did not. When we contacted the company, we received multiple threatening text messages demanding full payment, even though our items had not been delivered. We were then told delivery would occur sometime in January. I spoke with Kristy, who was initially helpful and assured us delivery would happen. When our belongings finally arrived in January, many items were damaged, including shelves, desks, and televisions that were broken or smashed. After reviewing the inventory, I began receiving messages offering me $200 if I agreed not to file a claim, along with statements implying I would receive no compensation if I pursued one. The tone and frequency of these messages felt like harassment. Shortly after, both Kristy and Oliver stopped responding to my calls. The final cost of the move increased from $8,000 to approximately $16,000, not including damages. We also had to make two separate trips back to Wyoming to retrieve items that were left behind. If I could leave zero stars I would! The absolute worse. They don't respond to phone calls or texts messages. I originally booked them for 11/1 but had to push it to 11/2 since we needed more time to prepare. They did say they will be in LA and will head to us after at around 3 pm. 3 pm came and they never showed up. I kept calling and texting with no response until I heard back via text that they won't be able to make it. I still rescheduled them for 11/4 at noon. They never showed up, never answered phone calls or texts messages. Very stressful to work with people who are very unprofessional. Don't have a business if you don't know how to run it! Don't bother answering cause no matter what you say won't change the fact that you guys suck! Do not book them! read more

We had hired Next Level Moving through U-Haul to assist with the delivery and packing of a couple of U-Box pods. We had confirmed the date and time of the delivery, seeing as to how I don't have the tools necessary to load and unload the U-Boxes. Erick sent me a text about an hour before they were scheduled to show up, letting me know that someone on his team was in urgent care, but he was looking for a replacement. However, he also said he would understand if I canceled it. I tried to call him to see what was going on and if he'd still be able to show up today, but he TURNED HIS PHONE OFF and his voicemail is full so I can't leave a message. We had already paid through U-Haul and we needed this stuff packed up today because we're supposed to be moving TOMORROW. All of the other 1 star reviews are legit. Good luck. read more

If I could leave a negative star, I would. I hired Eric for a very small move from my apartment to a storage unit in Irvine. We agreed on 340 for the entire move. I was leaving an Irvine Company apt. 1 hour into my move, something urgent came up and I had to pause the move. I apologized to Eric and I asked him to bring up some of the stuff he had taken down. Eric was at my place for only an hr. And had moved 1 dresser and 6 boxes. I paid Eric 365 even though he didn't do the entire move, but Im a fair person and I knew he had blocked his time for my move. Upon leaving I noticed Eric had broken my dresser and mentioned it to him. He said he will take it with him to fix it and bring it back to me and if he can't fix it he will pay for the damages. I waited a few weeks and reached out to him, he said he can bring it by. When he brought the drawer, I noticed it was only merely glued and was still broken and flimsy. I mentioned that to him and he said he will pay for the damages. After that, I never heard from him again. No response to my messages, calls. Until one day I called and some girl answered the phone yelling at me and being extremely disrespectful. I was very confused and asked if I can speak to Eric and she start yelling at me. I was so confused as to why she was speaking to me in such a manner, I explained that I am a customer and needed to speak to Eric. She mentioned that he had gotten in a car accident and was in the hospital and was not able to speak to me. I asked her if she can help me out with the situation, and she proceeded with yelling at me and cussing me out and saying what part of he's in the hospital do you not understand, I don't care about your belongings and your dresser. Don't contact this number again, then she proceeded to threaten me and say if you want, you can show up to the hospital at all and I will deal with you. I was extremely disturbed that anyone can speak to someone like that for no reason at all. I kept asking her to calm down and to stop yelling at me and she kept going on and on and on about how I should show up to the hospital so deal with her. It was absolutely disgusting and disturbing. I eventually said no worries I don't want any trouble with you i don't know who you are and hung up the phone. Eric then reached out to me, basically denied taking responsibility for the damages and saying that he will pay for the dresser. I have never worked with such a dishonest, disrespectful, morally corrupt business in my life. They damaged several items in my furniture and took zero accountability or responsibility to take care of the situation. They were able to do it all in one day, were fast and reliable, brought extra materials to protect my items, didn't break or ruin anything, and it was still within my expected budget. I wish that yelp would allow us to give zero stars. I was referred to Eric through a personal friend thinking that she would do a job well done. on the day that he was hired for my move he was late. He and his team were also aggressive with my furniture especially the things that were labeled fragile. During the move he broke one of my shelving organizers and didn't even say anything. I realized when I did a walk through and when I told him that it was broken he said he was sorry and would fix it. I thought that he would carry out his word to repair my damaged item, but he didn't. he took the item with him and said that he would repair it, I was calling and texting him to get status and he wouldn't reply. After three weeks he finally reached back out saying that he was not responsible for the item that he broke and that he was not going to fix it or pay me for what it was worth. this goes directly against what he promised to me as a customer. I am so disappointed that there are still people out there that lie and cheat to get ahead. He then a few days after saying he was not going to fixed it, left it at my door step still broken. This is a warning to anyone out there who wants to use him, he will lie to you to get your money and then not even complete the job he promises he says he would do. DO NOT HIRE!!!
